There were lots of empty public hand sanitiser dispensers when I was on board in late October. Hopefully they've been inspired to re-fill them again.

Keep your hands off your face and most definitely don't lick your fingers!

That is what I do, any food that would normally be eaten out of the hands or is normally a finger food,  are eaten with cutlery.

I presume you found the storm by now. As I’m sitting in the car at Nobbies Centre on Phillip Island with the car rocking in the wind, I’m thinking still that the Grand Princess isn’t leaving during this

Marine Traffic app shows her still moored at Station pier with an ETD of nearly 7pm (as opposed to its usual 5pm departure from Melb) I'm on the Bellarine peninsula and it is still pretty wild here. 
How was boarding today? smoother than her last visit to Melbourne?

Not sure where the ship is heading but the storm is heading east. I was listening to the radio a couple of hours ago in Melbourne they said it had hit South Australia and was moving east and the wind at that time had been picking up in Melbourne. Seems very calm outside now though.

Yup east to New Zealand. Is not calm on Phillips Island which is likely more representative

Although boarding was delayed until 4- 7 pm my husband was offered a special boarding time of 1.30 - 2 pm when he dropped our luggage off at 9.30am. We arrived back at the port at 1pm, and were onboard by 2.15. Not sure why we got offered the special time, but it was great to avoid the long queues later.

 

We departed just after 8pm and are through the heads. Seas are rocky but not too bad.

Thanks Les..   Got off yesterday... we are both well...and ready for next cruise on Sunday.....

 

It was good a bit of rock and rolland first 2 days, plenty of food and drink was had

without going over the budget
