Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted December 2, 2023 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2023 The only thing that comes to mind is the per minute cost of calls (to land) from your cabin phone. I recall it used to be something like $9.99/minute, then several years ago some ships started dropping it to $6.99. Now it's, what, $1.99/min? Is this the only thing that costs less now? havanadaydreaming Posted December 2, 2023 #3 Share Posted December 2, 2023 i havent been cruising all that long but all the changes i recall have been price increases. i guess i have had an occasional free glass of milk from the coffee shop (it settles my wife's stomach when it flares up) i do remember ordered room service my first cruise just to experience it. but i dont think i've done that since. i like getting up and out of the cabin.

Yes, Internet is cheaper and more reliable. Cabin prices are cheaper for (too) many. Cheers is still cheaper than buying max number of drinks. Adjusted for inflation, there are probably more. DallasGuy75219 Posted December 2, 2023 #10 Share Posted December 2, 2023 Didn't the price of a 12 pack of bottled water come down when they stopped letting you bring your own bottled water? So people couldn't say they banned BYO to increase water sales. Of course the price has since tripled since then.

Free every night when an Excel ship first comes out, eventually changing to free just your first time each cruise.
