Suspicious Email from Princess Cruises

@dog

your concern is justified.
please do let us know what happens next.

From our experiences last year I think

this is likely an error email from Princess Promotions department, ONE, the company that now runs the furture cruise desk onboard.

If you booked directly with Princess they could have assigned your booking to one of the ONE contractor / CVPs.  I have a TA that I use for regular bookings but I've gone through Princess for the casino comp offers and I now have a contractor CVP assigned to me who is actually pretty good.  Did they give a phone number?  The number that the CVPs can be reached is 1-800-901-1172 ext. 9xxxx . If that is the phone number shown then it probably is legit, just very odd.  Hoping you can get through to Princess but if you can't try the CVP number and ask for that person.

But this person who contacted @dog was question on his refund and needs more information from him. Nothing to do with promotions.

I forwarded it to customerrelations@princesscruises.com

Post if anyone else gets this.

it does not look like an official page,  mentions HAL & Australia

If it mentions HAL and Australia, it most likely says the companies under the Holland America Group, which Princess and P&O Australia are part of.

My concern is mention of a refund on a cruise I board in 3 weeks.

They asked me to send all documentation and had my booking number.

chat has me at 67 ahead of me now.

That's not the usual format for an email from someone at Princess. It's usually first initial/last name @ Princess.com. Example: jsmith@Princess.com

Full name was shown like this:

Jude Salvatierra (Contractor)

email was:

JSalvatierra@princesscruises.com

No phone number.

The last PVP who phoned & emailed me was Victoria Beck.

i have not answered the phone calls or emails.

I am leaving it at this.

Thanks everyone.

Ok, I let Princess know about this.

Cannot get through to chat or phone right now.

One other thing- I noticed MedallionClass charge to my credit card yesterday. Order Dec for Feb 18 th cruise.  No emails or tracking.  Nothing indicated that this is related.

Chat would be useless.  I've sat all the way from #32 to next and never gotten through. The few times ive gotten through the person was useless. I notice that you said you don't use CVP office but (if it was me) I'd still call that line to report a possible fraud.

It's shown in the clear in the subject line on every e-mail I get for the booking from Princess.

Who gave my Booking number to Jude?

Why does Jude want me to send all documentation for a refund, for the cruise I am boarding in 3 weeks.?

This is likely an error or Princess has Contractors trying to get me to purchase a package or Bid for Upgrade.

I’ve had emails promoting this all the times

I am considering it a scam- not interested  in whatever they want.

Thanks everyone.

I hope everything turns out well for you.  I have a feeling you won’t hear from them again.  I doubt if it was a real scam.  I believe it was a sales pitch from a contractor and he thought he’d get your attention by referring to a refund,  It worked!  I do not like this sales approach from Princess at all.

Exactly.

I’ve spent enough energy on this.  Princess is looking less appealing to me over the past week.

Probably some new way that Princess has sold our info and these people have access to all of our cruise history info...I wish they wouldn't allow use of the Princess email address domain!

I don't know that this is the right/same domain. All my emails are from princess.com and not princesscruises.com. This smells like phishing to me.

The other question is how did they get @dog booking number?

🤐  I give up

I suspect that this is just another group (like Princess Promotions) that has been allowed access to our data in an attempt to drum up more business. They have been allowed to use the Princess email domain because that's one of the first things that you might look at...if it's not from the "real" Princess system they know that you are likely to hit delete.  They probably get a cut from any business that they are able to pass on to Princess. (Just my opinion and may very well be wrong!  But they got the data *somehow* and are using "real" Princess email...)

Yep, my assumption as well.

I am bothered by my Booking Number being given out and that the email came from Jude ( whom I have never heard from) rather then Victoria Beck who has been bugging me, since the last self appointed planner quit. I have never responded to any of their phone calls or emails.
