Earthworm Jim Posted February 23 #1 Share Posted February 23 How much do you have to play out of the platinum perk $25 Casino Funplay before you can cash out the remainder and be on your way with a few dollars?
Rare txcruiser1234 Posted February 23 #2 Share Posted February 23 (edited) You just have to play the $25 through once and can cash out any paybacks. So, you could do 5 $5 spins or 25 $1 dollar spins, etc. and keep any proceeds from hits. Instead of slots, you can also take a $25 play-it-till-you-lose-it chip and play roulette or blackjack as well... bet it on black, for example. nwcruiselover Posted February 23 #3 Share Posted February 23 (edited) You have to have play the entire $25.00. After you have played the $25.00, if there is anything left on the machine, you can cash it out to your player bank. I don’t know how it works with table games. emm126 Posted February 23 #4 Share Posted February 23 Well also depends on the ship. On older ships they just hand you $25 cash. You can walk away with the cash.
n6uqqq Posted February 23 #5 Share Posted February 23 (edited) I like using mine on craps and it has worked out good a few times. A hot shooter can make you some money. The slots just eat up that 25 dollars in no time. On the Miracle in January they were still giving out the money in cash. mz-s Posted February 23 #6 Share Posted February 23 (edited) The funplay has no cash value. You have to spend it all. If you get cash well then it's cash and you can do whatever you want with it. Edited February 23 by mz-s

I suppose if we wanted to maximize (but not guarantee) the chance of walking away with something I could put my $25 on black and my wife put hers on red, and it's pretty likely we'd cash $50. Good thing you are aware of the 0 and 00 positions on the wheel! Many people overlook those.
Earthworm Jim Posted February 23 Author #9 Share Posted February 23 (edited) OK, if you're playing the table games, how does the casino confirm you've made your $25 worth of bets before you cash in whatever remaining chips you may have left? (The slots I assume are all tracked automatically by the computer) Edited February 23 by Earthworm Jim

I parlayed 25 dollars into 85 last fall when a guy got hot on craps and passed 5 times in a row. Edited February 23 by n6uqqq 1

So if you bet a $25 Funplay chip on red and win, you get 1 regular $25 chip which you can cash in, but still have the $25 Funplay chip which you can't cash, but can play again? Interesting. Thanks. If you lose they just take the funplay chips. Either way, the funplay is only good for one use. Edited February 23 by mz-s

Interesting. Thanks. Yes. On craps I bet 10 dollars until I lose then 15 since the minimum bet is now 10 on craps. It can take a while because the pace can be kind of slow on a busy table. For me they didn't swap the chip out on craps but winnings were paid with regular chips. So I won 5 times when I had the 15 dollars in fun chips riding the pass line.

On Blackjack they've always swapped out my funplay tokens for chips on a win.

Then you would have 50 "real" dollar chips to cash out without further risk if you went big and bet 25 at once. ALL of your proceeds should have properly been in cash. There should have been no requirement for you to re-wager that initial Fun Play $25 chip. Is it possible that the dealer simply got sloppy or made a mistake?

On a win they would pay me in real chips, but would leave the fun play chips on the table. They would only pull my fun play chips when I actually lost them. I just pull my winning real chips and let the fun money ride.Well that is, if I actually win. Sometimes I just crap out 😆 Last time on Miracle they handed me 25 in cash no gambling necessary so I doubled my money by folding my wallet 😉 .

I suppose if you are going to continue to play it really doesn't matter. BUT, if you wanted to take all your money off the table they would have an obligation to give you a real chip to replace your Fun Play. Said another way, that money doesn't need to be wagered again.

I am okay with it. It is fun money given to me and if they paid me 25 and exchanged the 25 in fun money for real chips then that is like winning a 50 dollar bet while only gambling 25 since my initial cost was zero. I understand why they don't exchange it. That would prompt me to walk away with the 50 with no further risk.
dallasdan Posted February 23 #23 Share Posted February 23 At a casino on the win they only pay you the win amount and take your free chip amount. Carnival lets you keep betting the fun play chip until you lose. I use mine at black jack as well.
