ScottC4746 Posted June 23 #1 Share Posted June 23 Is there a precruise retreat concierge available to us and if so, how far out can we contact them and how?

They will contact you first, about a week or so before you sail.
sunpsyche Posted June 23 #3 Share Posted June 23 I have these listed as dedicated retreat concierge: (877) 738-7322 (877) 738-7328 Things change though…Good luck!
jelayne Posted June 23 #4 Share Posted June 23 Generally those in Sky Suites will be contacted by email about 2-3 weeks before the sailing. I believe your cruise is about a year away, so anything you request now will probably be lost by then. We have found that about 1/2 the time our requests don’t seem to make it to the ship. But the Butler and Cabin Attendant take care of the requests on day 1 he we meet them.
Rare DaKahuna Posted June 23 #5 Share Posted June 23 @ScottC4746 Our experience is the same as @jelayne We wait until they contact us and then respond. We also double check with our Butler and / or Cabin attendant as well as taken a written list of anything really out of the ordinary, e.g. we like to have our sofa and any chairs covered with a bed sheet. sofietucker Posted June 23 #6 Share Posted June 23 We always ask for ice at 4pm... The room to be serviced only once (in the evening). This time, we will ask them to be sure to place a lounger on our balcony.

Rare asnaleah Posted June 24 #8 Share Posted June 24 I must have missed something about the loungers. Are they all removed from all suites’ balconies?

That's what is being reported but @GenerationX showed a photo of one on her balcony on her current Reflection sailing. We had one of out balcony on Millennium last month. So it may only be certain cabins on certain ships.. who knows.
Alcairns Posted June 24 #10 Share Posted June 24 The contact times seem to vary. I just received an email from the shoreside concierge 89 days before my cruise.

DannyS Posted June 26 #13 Share Posted June 26 1-877-RETREAT. When you call that number, the automated system asks what type of suite you're in, and routes the call appropriately. If you're sailing in a higher suite, and haven't gotten your welcome email - they can request it for you. They'll also be able to tell you who your assigned pre-cruise concierge - you can reach out to that person by phone or email.

ZapRowsdower Posted July 9 #15 Share Posted July 9 I am sailing in 11 days in a Sky Suite on Reflection. I got an email several weeks ago with a link to an online form to complete. The form asks things such as Are you celebrating a special occasion with us? Preference of red, white or sparkling wine? CPAP/Allergy needs? Bed together or separate? Etc. Is this the email people are talking about?

Sky Suites and possibly Celebrity Suites have that email. The "upper" suites will have more detail and questions as those come with other benefits such as bar setup. bigbenboys Posted July 9 #17 Share Posted July 9 We have a RS booked for this Sept. We were contacted by email last month. I emailed our specialty dining reservations days and times. Also what alcohol we wanted in the suite. I received a confirmation email.

Nothing on the form we filled out, returned, and was confirmed happened. Special occasion, choice of wine in room, choice of pillow, mattress pad…. all nope. Why do they bother to ask if the response is ignored? We had to ask the butler and room attendant once on board. Edited July 9 by 81Zoomie

"What we've got here is a failure to communicate". I always bring a hardcopy of the email on the cruise. Nice detail for the butler if needed, and ammunition for/against the Hotel Manager for a dropped ball. Have only needed it once out of a dozen or so cruises in an X suite. 2

Well I guess it's no big deal that we still don't have an email and sail in 10 days if they just ignore it all anyway. Not a good look though. So far, not having taken the cruise so just basing this on the pre-trip experience, we are not impressed with X. I guess there is no point in calling them? It can’t hurt to call. In our case I felt bad because I asked the room attendant for the mattress topper after she had just changed the bedding between guests. It caused her extra work. I like the idea of following up with the hotel director. It’s a bit of a let down to get second class service after paying for a Retreat “experience” just because it’s a sky suite.

I may be wrong but I have always been under the impression that for the lower suites the pre-cruise communication was done by the Retreat Concierges and only the high end suites received emails / calls from the shoreside concierge.
