Puerto Rico to open up another port

Recommended Posts

I have recently heard from family on the island that they are working towards opening up ports on the other side near Roosevelt Roads the old Navy Base. The east side of the island is very beautiful and a short distance to the rain forest, while only 35 miles from the airport. It will be interesting to see how this pans out.

well a few years ago, the Commonwealth was pushing the use of Ponce, and for a while, a few cruise ships did stop there. But for some reason, it came to a screeching halt, despite the pier facilities and new hotels. Ponce has always been attractive to us, not only for the city itself, but the proximity to the mountains. Too bad it didnt seem to catch on.
