Dear Princess (if you're truly watching),

We cruise a lot and would like to even cruise more......can you give really cheaper prices to your really frequent cruisers?

Princess do look after their Princess fans and frequent travellers.I am a senior who travels single and Princess always treats me very well in every way including pricewise:)

Ding, Ding, Ding... we have a winner!!! :D Yes, the bartender only knew my email address because we had taken some photos & were going to exchange them once I got home. Plus, I hope she will keep me posted as to other ships she may transfer to in the future... it's always an incentive to know you'll have a terrific bartender when you book! LOL! Yes, I enjoy my cocktails & she made our favorite drinks better than any other bartender onboard!

Dear Princess,

We are all paying alot to cruise on your ships, so please:

(1) Give me a cabin assignment! I am paid in full. I shouldn't have to wait. (2) What's the big deal about having soda included in the price! (3) Why do singles and single parents have to pay double? Have some empathy for us! (4) Thanks for allowing me to smoke in my cabin. I will respect everyone elses space. (5) Why surcharges for the resturants, a decent cup of coffee, and ice cream? :)

Good for you! I have a question though. How did Princess know how to contact you - all that is here is your screen name and you don't have any contact info or an email address in your profile???

If you put your cabin number in the review, it would probably be pretty easy for them e-mail you.

I haven't read this whole thread. But we know RCI reads reviews. I remember a few weeks ago, there was an article in a newspaper or magazine about a woman who RCI banned after reading her CC review. She mentioned certain things in a review on CC that they found objectionable considering the user was constantly complaining and asking for refunds and future onboard credit. I don't care whether RCI was right or wrong. The point is that these boards and those reviews are very influential and the cruiselines realize that people rely on them - maybe even more than the comment cards.

Is Princess seeing the terrible comments about the food on the Golden Princess, particularly at the buffet? The recent member reviews are scathing in their criticism. We're going on the Golden to Alaska in a few weeks, and hope the situation improves.

OK so if Princess Corp. is watching, could someone please take care of the pending charge on our booking?

Last Thursday we made final payment with our TA. The payment is showing pending with the CC company, however Princess still has not processed the payment nor credited our booking with the payment. When it was processed the TA said the card was declined. We called the bank and they said "no, it's approved, we are showing it pending, the cruiseline just needs to process the payment." It's a mess. I was told by Princess Customer No Service not to worry, well I lost my cabin last year due to an accounting issue with the agency we used last year. This year it's Princess that can't seem to process the payment. The bank says all that Princess has to do is process the charge that's been approved by the bank, jeesh. After talking to Customer No Service today, of course I got the "your travel agent needs to take care of this." Well, she has really tried and they still can't seem to process this.

So, Princess Corp, would you please just process the payment?

I think you need a either need a new TA, book direct with Princess or don't wait until the last minute to pay.

Your travel agent doesn't sound too good. My travel agent has access to POLAR and AMADEUS (or something like that) and charges get posted same day. Why are you chasing down these charges, let your TA do the phone calls to Princess. That's their job and Princess gives them a commission for their work.

The not so good::confused:

Bed was so hard we requested another duvet...got it, slept on top of one and covered with the other...made it a little softer, but needs much improvement.

Many cruises have seafood on the buffet, and I understand that many like it. However for those of us who don't please consider setting the seafood bar apart from regular food, it has a definite obnoxious odor for some people and a real turn-off.

Laundry Hours why aren't they open 24 hours.

What would it hurt to put fruit punch or lemonade as choices in buffet. At least something caffeine free. Also cold milk anytime of the day, not just breakfast. I order it with dinner and they look at me sideways, and often forget it.

Dining Cover Charges...this is the food that cruise lines served all the time before specialty restaurants. Quality of food has gone way down since, and too much Asian themed, what happened to good ole American Cusine.

Optional dining rooms for formal attire shoud be institued. Many ships have more than one main dining room...why not designate one for formal, and one for smart casual. I still agree however no jeans, and no shorts for dinner. If you can't dress up a little it would be just like home, but packing those formals into suitcases and sometimes days ahead, a nightmare. Especially with the new luggage fees airlines are charging.

I did not care for the disembarkation procedure on the Sapphire, June 14th. I did not like having to take carry on's to breakfast and vacating the cabin by 8:30 a.m. when we didn't disembark until almost 10. Also didn't like early 8 pm. bags out the door the night before, it shouldn't be until at least 10 - 10:30 when late dinner seating is over. Very inconvienient and took up 1/2 day to pack and plan what to keep out since it was so early.

Why no towel creatures????

Improve the hair dryers, theres no need for what is supplied now, they don't dry anything.

Coffee was undrinkablely nasty! Try using a perkolater instead of a syrup slush.

The Great::p

Keep up the hand you a plate and utensils after you use the antibactiral gel...makes everyone clean their hands in the buffet, should be hand you the menu after you are offered gel in the dining rooms too.

Pre-booking shore excursions online before the cruise.

Extended room service menu.

Self Service Laundry mat, however needs to be 24 hours.

Non-smoking casino hours

More craft sessions/on board activities on days at sea.

Fresh Fruits....always awesome, but why not try some locally grown fruits from the ports visited. Like the Pineapple on Hawaii ports...Outstanding!

I'm sure I can think of more....but this would be a good start.

Cold milk is available anytime of the day. At dinner, our waitstaff usually has it waiting for us (after the first evening) when we first sit down.

At the buffet you may need to ask for it at times other than breakfast, but it is available.

My TA was not the problem, she did everything she could, it was on Princess' side. She processed right into the Princess system. She too uses Amadaus, Apollo and Sabre. All is taken care of, I hate that it sounded like I through my TA under the bus, but that was not the case at all. It was a glitch and I was the one being impatient with the process.

Princess does have a great product or we wouldn't sail them again and again. Yes, there are some things that could use some improvement just like with any travel product. Overall, we like them and are looking forward to our longest sailing yet!

While onboard the Crown this past September, our CC group met in the disco for our Cruise Critic get together. We were greeted by the infamous James (he's from Japan), the Hotel Manager. He was keen to ask each of us not only about the current voyage we were sailing but our previous Princess voyages as well. From what I understand, he's often on the travel shows as a "face of cruising".

We saw him throughout our 9 day sailing from NYC and he even made a point of telling us he reads the posts on this website....

Is that James Deering?? He is wonderful! We sailed with him when he was with HAL as Hotel Director on the Oosterdam. He made our cruise the greatest. (even though I didn't care for the ship, the service was outstanding) I knew he left HAL, but I lost track of where he might be.

James...go to the Emerald by October!! :)

Dear Princess;

I wish you would follow the lead of someother lines and require a doctors' letter before allowing a pax to book a handicap/accessable cabin. My wife is disabled with MS and now requires such a cabin. It has been stated on these boards that inconsiderate able-bodied people book them thus making them unavailable to those who really need them.:mad:

Thank you for your consideration.
