Host Anne

Recommended Posts

The CC press release said something obout the crepery being open 24/7....that would be awesome for a late night, after Quesars snack!:D

They gave everyone a "Celebrity Today"...I have mine here.

It says

"Bistro On Five"....Celebrity's first onbooard creperie;

casual, light, open atmosphere, serving crepes and other

savory fare nearly around the clock;

tableside service for lunch and dinner creates an additional

casual dining option.

Oh the crepes were FABULOUS:D

Lois, did anyone question this whole Botox thing?

Thanks, I know Host Anne has a lot of stuff but she is workingtonite.I am guessing tomorrow she will be posting her findings:)

Oh, someone did ask about the size of closet space. The

answer was there will probably be the same amount of closet

but more drawer space.

Not that I heard.....I didn't even realize it was there till I walked

into the Spa area they had set up.

There was not a full question and answer session per se....

You came in and they had a name tag for you ...then you went

on what would be a receiving line (sort of).....Simon Weir was there

to greet you and then you walk into a big room. (You received a nice tote bag

full of things too).

Different tables were set up...the Lawn, the Murano Glass, the Boutiques,

The Food, the food, the food, LOL...then the next room had

Casino stuff, chocolates and port wine, along with a bar...then

the next room had a spa area.

There were Travel Agents, some cruisers, and vendors too.

(example the Gelato folks were there) and some of the Press was invited

as well.

Everyone chatted, ate, drank and then Dan Hanrahan spoke for a few

minutes and then he asked if anyone had questions....honestly,

there were not a whole lot of them.

They had quite a few HQ folks of course. Head of Marketing,

Tommy Plummer....he is the one who mentioned they are changing

Capt's Club stuff. Wish I could have found out what they are planning...

oh well....

First it was so nice to meet Host Anne, Host Andy and Melissa. Lois it was so nice to see you again.

If I repeat any other posters info I'm sorry as I only scanned the other pages I'm really tired and have three pups waiting for supper.

Lois about covered most of it. The Solstice Martini was amazing and so was all the food. Didn't have a crepe was too full.

They do have a new feature regarding cruise photos on board. Now using your card you can access your portraits from you television or a free standing machine in the Photo Gallery. You insert the card, view your photos, choose sizing you want and order. There is also another feature were your photo can be super imposed onto other items to make the photo more unique.

We were told that the balconies are the same size in Aqua Spa and Aft as the rest of the standard cabins, this was during the question and answer period.

We asked about the tours opening up and they said about 4 months prior to sailing although they didn't have the exact date.

We were told the those passengers in Aqua Spa will be assigned to a table in Blu but can access the regular Dining Room with a reservation. This also goes for the Specialty Restaurants and Specialty Restaurants are not included the regular fee apply.

All for now and again so happy to be able to put the faces with the names this afternoon.:o

Hi Lois,

It was nice to meet you also. I didn't even think of ordering a Solstice Martini. Bummer!! Now I have to wait till March. Of course, after a Eureka, I really didn't need more alcohol. After all I did have to drive and go back to work.

Thanks for all the reports back from the folks who went in person

--the crepes sound great & I believe that is one of the no extra charge areas on the ship--that's what I am looking for! I'll pass on the diamonds & the $40 grass sandals...Hope to hear more about the pool areas, library & entertainment venues---& can't wait to see the dining menus....

if they are taking suggestions--the concierge club perk is a bg draw on Royal....would love to see it on celebrity ships...

Lois, so glad you got an earlier flight. We stopped for dinner and I looked at my watch and said to Bob, "Poor Lois is just boarding for the flight home." We were surprised that you were already posting when we signed it. It was so nice to see you.

Mike so glad that you are posting the pictures of the menu's. We got a couple of them but they are such small print. I mentioned to Simon that I was trying to put together a Inaugural Party on the beach. If he sees a group of people waving and holding balloons at the channel its us sending them off :p He said that he will try to look toward the beach as they sail out (although I'm sure he will be very busy!!!)

Oh, another interesting thing was the reason given for how this Solstice Presentation came about.

Its seems according to Celebrity President Dan Hanrahan that he asked the Vice President of Sales for an over view of the on board amenities on the Solstice.

When she called him to the training rooms we was expecting a Power Point Presentation. Instead she (and I wish I could remember her name) had set up three of the training rooms with all the venues that we saw this afternoon. He then had her take it down and show it in London. Then back here he said that it was just too nice to not share, and so the decision was made to erect it all again for us to view.

hcat, THAT was one of the first questions....are they going to have

a Concierge Lounge?

No they are not and the reason why not was not given.

(Or if they answered it I missed the answer).

Just remembered something else. Heavens I hope I can turn my mind off to go to bed. I'll probably dream about all this.

The Solstice Diamond that was on display in the pendent was .50 ct. wt. and that is the size that is at the starting point of $2000.00. I asked if they would be selling any of the stones loose. He said no but that stones could be chosen and then set in a particular setting and of a particular caret wt.

Also the gentleman that was at that station showed me a Sterling Silver bracelet that was all links with a heart shape at one one. He said that there would be a Solstice Charm available. I have no price on that. I asked if it might be available in 14kt Gold and he said not at this time.

Thanks, Carol Ann! I don't know why the advertising has been so oblique about what that pool is--but I'm glad it is a Thalassotherapy Pool. There is nothing else like the hot bubbly waters at the end of the day in my book.

Now, I have to figure out which of the M Class aft cabins I have booked in the next two January's I can switch out! I have been holding off on the Solstice class just because of this, so I will start searching right now.

Thanks Lois and everyone. Sounds like you all had a great day. I truly am very excited to sail on the Solstice. I appreciate all your reports on more of what to expect.

One of these days Lois we will get to sail together especially since you and I both love Celebrity so much!

Well just in case Simon checks the board tomorrow here is a picture of he and Nick. One ship with both of them is going to be a hoot.

So Simon, remember to look South at the channel for the Beach Party as you sail for the first time. Carol and Bob

We are hurrying on getting pics put into a web page. We will have the menus that were there as well as a pic of the Eureka on a promotional piece.

Thanks Mike !!! I'm looking forward to it.

The fact that they are going to be selling those fake grass covered flip flops cracks me up. I have those. Bought them a few years ago at Nordstrom. Just thought they were funny, so I got them. Don't think I have ever worn them.

Fitz,

You need to join us on Sosltice and be ahead of the fashion curve!

Thanks Finely Cruising. We didn't have much time to put this together, so we could share it with other Sosltice Fanatics, so we are having to fine tune it as we go. We are moving some of the menu detail pics around to the correct restaurant, so you might need to refresh the page when you look at it again.
