What's your favorite "always available" entree?

Just curious whether anyone has found a real winner on the "always available" dinner menu. Other than the shrimp cocktail and Caesar salad, I see:

Grilled salmon with herb and lemon butter

Pan seared corn-fed chicken with thyme jus

Grilled beef medallions

Spice-rubbed tri tip roast

Sirloin beef burger topped with Stilton and mushrooms

I'm sure I've had one or two of these, but I can't say it made a huge impression. I might have had the salmon, and it might have been good. Is there one you turn to in case none of daily menu items catches your eye?

The salmon. I also like the chicken if I'm all sea-fooded out. I don't like the tri-tip at all. I am also not a big fan of burgers on Princess, so I avoid that. My grandson always orders the medallions (with no sauce) every night.

And I agree with shredie that I find the tri-tip to be out-and-out awful.

Salmon. My wife doesn't care for salmon - except for Princess salmon. She and I will always orders it for lunch on embarkation day in a MDR. That's along with a gin & tonic for me and white wine for her.)

Hubby loves the chicken.. Probably gets it at least 3 nights on a 7 night sailing, in addition to whatever entree that evening.

Princess Fettuccini Alfredo is the best ANYWHERE. I get an appetizer of it along with my caesar salad to start my meal. I don't eat ANYTHING that swims under the ocean. I like chicken dishes and/or Prime Rib.

The beef medallions no doubt. We always ask that we have bearnaise sauce every night as either one or both of us will opt for the medallions. YUMM!

I love the salmon.

This subject is kind of a joke between dh and myself. Because I have been on cruises (the last one being the Caribbean Princess, when I asked for the Fettuccini Alfredo) where the waiter seems to take it personally and they seem to get insulted & try to talk me out of ordering off of the always available menu. I don't know why! Sometimes I may want to order off it and we'll joke it is not worth going thru the big deal with the waiter.

I don't know why, but for some reason I never order off the always available menu. I am going to give it a go in two weeks though.

Does anyone like the burgers? It looks like they change how they are presented each night. I might order one without the bun.

Mine would be the fettuccini with a grilled chicken breast and for dessert (if nothing else is appealing) the Love Boat.

DH and I split a full order of the fettuccine Alfredo as an appetizer - this way we get it served in the yummy Parisian cheese "bowl" that we split as well. Wonderful!

I've ordered the grilled salmon as many as 5 times on a cruise. I can't get enough of it. It must be all that herbed butter on top!

Chicken with thyme jus is wonderful when you want a simple meal of "comfort food". Sometimes I just get tired of "restaurant meals".
