cclvr Posted September 4, 2015 #26 Share Posted September 4, 2015 Love the Salmon...hope they never take it off the always available menu!!
rdsqrl Posted September 4, 2015 #27 Share Posted September 4, 2015 Salmon, for sure. Although I haven't ordered it recently. I think the latest menu changes added at least one palatable entree to the couple of nights where I didn't like anything on offer, so there hasn't been a need to go to the left side of the menu. I know you asked about entree, but I very often get the Always Available Dessert, Love Boat Dream. Princess, sadly, does not offer over-abundance of chocolate desserts. Except for key lime pie and a handful of cakes, I'm not much of a dessert fan if chocolate isn't involved. And skipping dessert Is Not An Option. SoCal Cruiser78 Posted September 4, 2015 #28 Share Posted September 4, 2015 (edited) Hubby loves the chicken.. Probably gets it at least 3 nights on a 7 night sailing, in addition to whatever entree that evening. Same here. It has always been moist and flavorful, never dried out. Rare Shelly97060 Posted September 4, 2015 #29 Share Posted September 4, 2015 For me it's the salmon, and I love to get an appetizer portion of the fettuccini! Yum :)

I have noticed this also, however (***Princess Secrets Alert***) they serve a very good chocolate layer cake through room service that I have never seen in the MDR, HC or IC. THANK YOU! That might be a tasty "Midnight Snack" at some stage!

Pam in CA Posted September 4, 2015 #33 Share Posted September 4, 2015 Medallions with a (loaded) baked potato. I ask for Béarnaise sauce on the side.
Northender Posted September 4, 2015 #34 Share Posted September 4, 2015 I've ordered the grilled salmon as many as 5 times on a cruise. I can't get enough of it. It must be all that herbed butter on top! Oh, and another vote for the fettuccine Alfredo. I've had that as many as five times on 1 cruise, too. No need for me to repeat the above. My choices also.:):)
Thrak Posted September 4, 2015 #35 Share Posted September 4, 2015 I keep meaning to ask for grilled chicken breast sliced on top of my fettuccine but, so far, I have forgotten every time! Hopefully I will remember on my upcoming cruise. It's a 17 day cruise so I should have ample time to remember at least once!
jagsfan Posted September 4, 2015 #36 Share Posted September 4, 2015 Fettuccine Alfredo in the Parmesan basket. Or just the basket. I love it.
Roatanfans Posted September 4, 2015 #37 Share Posted September 4, 2015 We have kids so they order off the kids menu which is also always available- their favorite seems to be the alphabet soup, which I tried and thought was some of the best soup I've had onboard. They also love the chocolate milk and the fish sticks are more like fish and chips if you have a craving for those!
DougH Posted September 4, 2015 #38 Share Posted September 4, 2015 Fettuccine Alfredo as either an entrée or appetizer, I just love it. Also like the Tri Tip
cruzhappy88 Posted September 4, 2015 #39 Share Posted September 4, 2015 Appetizer size fet alfredo with a piece of grilled salmon on top. Yum! I might have to try the parmessan bowl, though.
jbobst Posted September 4, 2015 #40 Share Posted September 4, 2015 I am a pasta fan. I learned a few cruises ago that you can order a spaghetti entree (or appetizer), with meatballs if you like but I don't care for the meatballs that much. Princess does their pasta perfectly al dente and I really like their red sauce. Very light and nice flavor. I usually start my appetizer with an entree size fettuccine and then have a spaghetti for my main meal. Yeah, a little pasta/carb overload, but it's my favorite meal. The last cruise I think I ordered this 5 out of 7 nights!
sportsmum Posted September 4, 2015 #41 Share Posted September 4, 2015 ask for the app size fettuccini in a parm bowl. We have had it every cruise at least a few times and there has never been an issue. Last cruise we forgot to ask for the parm bowl and it came anyway.:)
scott4020 Posted September 4, 2015 #42 Share Posted September 4, 2015 (edited) I never eat the aa entrees but I always get a love boat dream, even if I get other deserts. Oh also always the shrimp cocktail, sometimes two. Edited September 4, 2015 by scott4020
Rare Coral Posted September 4, 2015 #43 Share Posted September 4, 2015 I would probably also say Spaghetti off of the children's menu.

Rare curlybelle2 Posted September 4, 2015 #45 Share Posted September 4, 2015 I love their Fettuccine Alfredo and cheesecake! I think their food is very good overall. I always have to loose weight before the cruise because sadly I can't seem to control myself!:o

I just want to be sure I know what to ask for if I am in the mood for red sauce instead of Alfredo sauce some night. On HAL special requests being filled can depend on who you ask, but I've never tried it on Princess. You can also order it at lunch when the dining room is open. If you like red sauce, ask the waiters if they are serving their pasta arrabbiata one night and get that. It is spicy but quite good!
