Oh, one more thing...about the WOW bands, half of our cabin had white and half had blue. However, they all had G4 printed on them for the muster station.

This is true. They have the muster station printed on each color. This to me is handy, but won't be helpful if used in another cruise as your station might be completely different.

Indeed. It also shoots a hole in someone's thought that each colour was muster station specific.

Edit: I'm enjoying your review.

Lol, I wish I had known that. I bought a TAG watch and got to meet Captain Johnny, but no escort off the ship thru customs[emoji22]

TAG's not enough. Needs to be something north of 4-5 grand. Have your credit card handy. 😱

The ship has to report all onboard sales. You get flagged for VIP treatment 😉 when they scan your card leaving the ship. 😱

I did have a customs agent ask to see the clasp on mine once. Pretty sure he was looking to see that it wasn't new.

All but one of us was able to use the new app to get through customs..breezed right through. The one who was flagged to do the paper forms still just breezed through too.

That's great to hear, for those that can use it. Being from Canada we can't use it but if we could use the app we would. We are fortunate enough to get to use the suite walk off but we can use the Global Entry in PE with our Nexus Cards.

Thank you Andrew for taking us along! LOVE LOVE LOVED it!! We sail Jan 28. Hopefully the kinks will be worked out. I'm sure we will enjoy it even if we must endure the hardships of slow service:p (as did you). I appreciate you taking time to share with us!

Your welcome. We loved the ship, just not the speed bumps that came with it. Hopefully by the time you sail these will be a thing of the past.

Terrific review! I look forward to reading your next adventure. Can't wait for my b2b on harmony in June!

Barbara

Barbara, thank you as well. Hopefully you will enjoy our next adventure as much as our past escapades. Our next "live" should be starting around March 4th. It should get you excited for your B2B June sailing.:)

Any idea on how many electrical outlets in a balcony stateroom. I think I recall reading it in this thread?

That's one I don't remember, but the person that posted info about it might chime in. You could also make a thread on the CC boards and get more answers there from others that have been in a balcony stateroom. I hope you find the answer.

I think I remember hearing that by the desk there is one Double outlet and 2 USBs. Outlet on each side of bed, outlet in bathroom? I could be overstating by one though...

That is my recollection as well....definitely more than other ships.

Hi Andrew, I have another question for you. You and some other posters here were talking about something that you use on your cell phones to make going through customs easier, Global Entry? How do you go about getting that, and how does it work? Thanks so much.

There is a new app for Americans to expedite customs,in FLL. I'm not sure if it has been rolled out in other ports or just FLL. I don't actually remember the name of it though. We are Canadian so we can't access it. We do have Nexus, which is the equivalent to Goes which is available at T18.

Thanks so much for information. I will definitely look into it. Sounds like something we could use.

I used the Mobile Passport App on my Harmony cruise last month and definitely recommend it! Unlike the Global Entry, this is free for anyone with a US passport.

I left the ship around 8:45 and was whisked away to the Mobile Passport App line, literally wheeling my luggage past several very long winding lines. My only wait time was under 2 minutes and that was because I was blocked by a family that cut under the ropes and was trying unsuccessfully to activate the app. Security had them return to their line, I held my iPhone with the QR code receipt to the QR scanner and the agent waved me through customs.

Currently, Port Everglades is the only cruise port to just now offer this service and, as it becomes more known, I would expect to find more people using it. You need to download the app and scan your passport into it as well as take a selfie and answer 4 standard questions. Then, within 4 hours of arrival, connect to WIFI and submit info to get a QR code receipt for entry. A couple of hours after I docked, I turned my iPhone's cellular data on, enabling it for the mobile passport app and submitted the info about 25 minutes before leaving ship.

Again, you need to connect to wifi or cellular network when you are ready to submit and receive the QR receipt on an IOS or Android device that can connect to the internet, a process that takes seconds.

More info here: http://mobilepassport.us including a list of airports using this service.

Just did some research and apparently Canadians can use this app too.

We also have Nexus so likely wouldn't bother with it but it could be beneficial for any Canadian who doesn't have Nexus. :)
