In suite dining

Recommended Posts

We will be in a Grand Suite for our next cruise and have heard you can have the same dining room menu food delivered to your suite, is this true? If so, could this be done the first day of our cruise? Do we just call room service?

Thanks for any info,

Yes, just call room service. The MDR menu should already be in your stateroom.

Thanks!

You're welcome. One note about a Grand Suite is that there is no full size dining table inside the stateroom. You can eat on the table outside on the balcony. Some people have even brought that table inside the stateroom.

Bob, we are some of the people that enjoy "dining in", and in fact, bring the table from the balcony into the living area in a Grand Suite. We order a table cloth, salt and pepper shakers, and sometimes order course by course, so that everything does not arrive at the same time.

The menu will be inside the suite folder. And, yes, you can order anything that is on the MDR menu to be delivered to your cabin on the first evening of your cruise.

Enjoy your suite!:)

Rick

Rick, I probably read about bringing in the table from one of your posts.:)

I believe on Quantum class ships the menus are on the tv, not in the suite folder. At least that was the way we saw it on Anthem.

We LOVED the in suite dining. We ordered full breakfast several times. We did dinner in suite for lobsters night. So much fun.

A few hints:

1). Ask for tablecloth/salt and pepper/water

2). Order your apps and salad first. Wait a bit after it arrives and then order mains and dessert. (We also ordered coffee here)

3). When you order make sure to order syrup, butter, jelly, rolls, ect.

4). You can order food from MDR any time that they are open. We ordered dessert one night with coffee.

5). You can eat on balcony table, bring table inside, or just use coffee table. We just used coffee table

when you want to order 3 pancakes make sure you only order 1 pancake breakfast. If you order 3 pancakes they will send you 3 plates of pancakes!!

Enjoy!

FYI. off topic but since your in a GS check out luggage valet program. It is free for suite guests. You set your luggage outside your door the night before and you don't see it again until you get to your destination. Wonderful!!

That is what is neat about suites on Celebrity as your butler sets up your dining table and delivers your meal in courses and takes away the used dishes. You can enjoy your meals in the comfort of your cabin and not have to clear the table or do the dishes. What a deal.

We had suite on Celebrity suite once, and had butler bring breakfast to aft balcony, love aft suites. Was not impressed with service for breakfast in GS but we do try it once a cruise, never attempted any other meal

I realise this thread is a few months old:Just checking to see that they still offer 'in suite' dining from the MDR menu on board. We will be in the Presidential on Indie so I know you don't get the new Royal Suite Class perks.

thanks

You don't get the same perks as Quantum and Oasis class, but room service from the MDR menu is still one of the perks that full suites get on Indy.

Room service won't be open until dinnertime, on boarding day. After that....you have full access. However, unless you have a dining table in the suite, it's not much fun eating off of the coffee table!

Agree GS just has coffee table, but we got e-mail from concierge yesterday , saying can order from full dinner menu but only during dinner time, not sure if you will need to pay 7.95 charge

If a GS is Star Class, your Genie can arrange. He sent us menus from a bunch of restaurants and we made a list. The group that brought up dinner made up our table outside (2 bed ats). It was fabulous! And no charge for anything.
