If you use your points to purchase onboard credit and you don't use all of the onboard credit do they pay you the remainder in cash or do you just lose that money?

Does anybody know the answer to my question above?

Does anybody know the answer to my question above?

A few years back I received a check for the remaining balance of unused credit but I had to go to the pursers to get it and it was a pain. Since then I charged chips from the casino on my account and then just cashed the chips in.:D

Easy way.

What is the service fee for using sail & Sign card to buy chips in the casino?

Hello all,

I am booked on the Escape, my second NCL cruise on a Casino offer.

I had paid approx $160 extra to upgrade to OA large picture window.

Have recently received the 10k in points.

My question is;will I be able to use the double meta upgrade and what

level does it bring you to?

Not sure if it gets me to a lower level balcony or Spa balcony level?

Thanks,

JT

Double meta upgrade is 60,000 points. single meta is 30,000 10,000 points only gets you $100 obc

if you have enough points look at outside categories and balcony categories, and compare bottom OV to bottom Balc ect on up,compare side by side. You cannot get an aft or anything other than a standard balcony room. The better balcony category gets you on a higher mid ship location. That's all

into $100 off cruise price. Anyone have the current number to call? I have been going in circles!!!!

The number and the promo code are obtained from your online statement. Click rewards and follow your way to your reward options. When you find it, click it, the phone number and promo number will be there,

Do you have enough points to just get cash? So much easier and you can keep what you don't spend onboard.

We got the card a month ago with 10,000 points offer. I keep reading that people calling and converting points into OBCs or getting $100 of the cruise price.

Isn't easier as you said to convert the points to a statement credit when you have your money back right there? That's what we plan to do with our points. What am I missing?

6 of one half a dozen of the other. You are not missing anything.

If you wanted gifts, flowers, chocolates or upgrades you need to call the number, but you still may need to call for the statement credit as well

I don't think you are missing anything if you only want to get the $100 and in fact you are being smart because if you use the card to pay for your cruise, then you will get more back since you will also get points for your expenses while on-board. HOWEVER, some of us believe that the points best value is to use them to upgrade rather than taking cash back. It may take awhile to accumulate enough points but if once you do, they can be worth significantly more than the penny per point you get by taking it as cash. Scroll back a number of posts and you can see where by using them for a Double Cross Meta upgrade, they were worth more three times more.

Thank you mscdivina2016 and Clay Clayton.

I'll have to look into Double Cross Meta upgrade posts.

Your welcome. That is what I use them for exclusively

One of the most recent double cross meta upgrades is mine.

I used 60,000 points for it. Went from inside to Balcony. Value of those points was $6000. (that is for a 40 night cruise)

Ironically a couple weeks later NCL had a new promo and I changed everything. They offered a pick 2 perk plan for outside categories and higher so I cancelled and started again.

I book an outside which cost me $1000 more but the extra perk I took was free gratuities worth $1080 so I am ahead $80:D but.....I no longer needed a double cross meta, only a single so I used 30,000 points instead.

End result...same Balcony, saved 30,000 points and I am ahead $80 in the end. Value of those 30,000 points was/is $5000 .16 a point.

Wow! If at any time you offer a Master Class for Using NCL Card Points I'm in! :D:D

Is it possible to cancel a OnBoard Credit of $ 100.00?

I used 10,000 points to get the $ 100.00 OBC for a cruise later this year. We are now having to cancel cruise. Have I lost the points or is there a way to have them redeposited?

Talk to your CC people.

I think your points will be automatically redeposited.
