Thank you so much for the awesome views of Funchal. We will be there for the third time in April. The first time was in 2004 and we took a tour of the island and its breathtaking views. Your awesome photos brought back so many memories. Thank you for taking the time to share them.

Loving your report and pictures Jacqui, and still hoping for some photos of the ship and your Penthouse.:):)

Enjoy your sea days ...

Cheers!

I will get there....just give me chance. Still in catch up and silly me, likes to get caught up first ;)

Well, a busy afternoon between Bingo and our cabin crawl and Jacques awaits so a quick post to say something is "up".

There are lots of hand sanitizers around but until today, no one spritzes you or asks you to use them.

It all changed today with being asked to sanitize hands, getting spritzed at the pool, etc. We do our hygiene anyways but there is a definite turn a bout which makes one wonder if there is more than a "bit" of a bug going around.

OK, here are some pics of our PH for you. Ignore the birthday signs. It was DH's birthday today so I decorated a tad.

these two pics are of the balcony (of course)

this is the walk in closet. It's hard to show it with the camera so I took three different angles to try to give you an idea. It is more than ample!

Happy Birthday Jose!!!

Oh, the food porn is killing me - there's so much I want - the breaded camembert with cranberry sauce, the sushi, the lamb, the vegetables, the fruit, oh, and the chocolate mousse. ('scuse me as I dab at my drool). And I love your PH - very nice. Is it about the same size as the Neptunes?

I hope the "bug" stays far away from you and both of you keep well. Oh, and for the record, we've had a foot of snow since last night here on the 'frozen tundra'.

Smooth Sailing! :) :) :)

Happy Birthday Jose!!

Thank you, Jacqui, for the great photos of your Penthouse. As we consider trying "O", this is the cabin we are looking at. It looks very close to an SS or NS although it's hard to tell exactly how big. We love the "booth" seating. Can you get dinner delivered course by course?

I should NEVER look at food porn before dinner!!!

Cheers!

Jacqui, what amazing terrace cafe photos. That puts HAL's lido to shame! For the grill, how does it work? Do you order and they bring it to you or do you stand around and wait??

Very nice and sophisticated room as well. We need to get on an Oceania ship!

And happy belated birthday to Jose!

Happy Birthday Jose. I see you guys are enjoying your self. Love the pictures of Funchal, brings back memories. Do a ships tour so we can see what the rest of the public places on board look like.

I usually wait -- it doesn't take long for the steak to cook, especially if you like it rare as I do. But they WILL bring it to you, as far as I can recall. If Waves staff is willing to bring your burger into Terrace, I don't see why Terrace staff wouldn't bring it to you in Terrace.

You order, they serve it on a plate to you - but you stand around and wait.

I didn't care for it the first night - food was fine, but I don't like crowds and line ups. I have since learned when NOT to go to Terrace Grill and it is much more civilized ;)

The Terrace Grill is open for nice long hours, so there is lots of flexibility.

Now, if you order at Waves, you order and they bring it to your table ;)

Yes, I have had a couple of filet and lobster sandwiches :) And they are pretty good.
