I use Photobucket and have been pleased with how it works, uploads, etc. Here are my notes on how to do larger pictures. Below are a couple of examples for I have posted from my earlier pictures.

For posting photos to these boards, your FIRST STEP is pick an outside web source that will store or “host” your pictures to be posted. Cruise Critic does not have the space to do larger pictures on their site. You can check such places as photobucket.com, imageshack.com, photoshow.com, flickr.com, picasa.google.com etc. I’ve used photobucket.com and have been pleased with how they upload, etc. SECOND, you need to make an export of your picture in a size such as around 1000 pixel wide by about 700 to your desktop of your computer. That’s the approximate size that I use for this purpose. If you make your file too big for posting, then it slows the process and takes long to upload, etc. THIRD, you use this outside web host to which you upload these different pictures sitting on your desktop. FOURTH, after uploading each picture, you will make a copy of that imbedded address in your file for future posting purposes. It will have have the square parentheses or bracket symbols before and after the capital letter IMG at the start and end of this location on your photo storage site.

Then as you want to post each different picture, you would, FIFTH STEP, copy and paste that imbedded address file for each picture as a part of your message on the CC Boards. In my files, I also have brief written description of each picture and have them grouped by the different city or country locations. With this imbedded file address, the reader on these boards doesn’t have to check on anything or paste to their web browser. It just pops up showing the picture. Does this help? You can preview your post to see if it's working OK before doing the actual post to these CC boards.

Chomping at the bit to see more pics of the refurbished Navigator - we sail in just under a month and I'm very interested in seeing the changes.

Which begs the question - why is Regent being so stingy posting new pics on their website? You'd think they would want to show people what you get for $40 million or so.

The Navigator refurbishment turned out to be successful imho. Carpets are new, all looks fresh and new. As usual, crew is still updating paint etc. Not everything though was replaced. Balcony doors still have some needs in some cabins etc.

Here are some of Compass Rose. Overall a great layout, plenty of space, new plates etc. The mood lighting is a bit funky at first, but they seem to keep it at the blue-ish ;-) special most of the time.

Following a few pics of the new Suites. Size hasn't changed, bathrooms and closets neither. New furniture on the balcony. The main change is in the layout and functionality of the sitting area and desk. Where we were used to a good deal of storage space above the desk with cabinets etc, the wall is now filled with a larger TV and the rest is empty. Desk space is limited and the espresso machine takes a good chunk of it. Bar Setup is now under the desk which makes it hard for the "less limber" to get glasses and other things. Cabin stewards are not happy with the layout either, but such is life they say.

Table in the room though is much better now than before and usable for breakfast or lunch. Night stands are fine with two drawers.

Sorry don't have pictures of the computer area empty and don't want to post with people in them. Computer area is now smaller than I remember, but nicely refurbished similar to the library.

Bathrooms haven't changed. You still have a bathtub and a separate shower.

Thanks for posting. I love the new colors and fabrics. Don't think the low bar and lack of storage will be problematic for most guest.

A light bulb just went on: The new couch in the cabin is smaller than the old one.

And there is a side table next to it. My guess is that that table could be replaced by a couple of 2-drawer bed tables to increase the storage space.

This is the ship which will be used for the '17 and '18 World Cruises where storage is an issue.

Franzr's photos show many of the changes to the Navigator, my favorite ship. I'd like to add a few more impressions from my recent cruise.

At first I thought the removal of the above-desk cabinets in the suite would not be a problem. Half of the desk is taken up, though, with the phone, espresso machine, espresso, fruit basket and plate. The daily Passages, newspapers, camera, laptop, chargers and etc. began to pile up. ONE drawer in the desk (besides the shallow middle drawer) would have helped me keep things tidier.

The suite bathroom is exactly as before, but with some new caulk around the tub and shower. The shower still had the flimsy oval soap dish that clatters to the floor when I bump against it.

Art work in the suite has been updated. I was happy to no longer see the creepy 'Pensive Polynesian Person' when I woke up in each morning. :)

The new chairs on the balcony are comfortable and recline and the table on the balcony is a better height.

The pattern in the hallway carpet is a huge improvement and I no longer noticed wet areas where the carpet had been recently cleaned.

The Compass Rose chairs need patterned material on the seats! I saw four that were already stained. I agree with Franzr that the blue 'mood lighting' in CR was a little odd at first, especially when it was purple one noon, but I stopped noticing it after a couple of days.

I hate to say it, but that blue light in CR isn't doing it for me. Reminds me of neon in a diner. As a woman of a "certain age", blue light sure isn't going to help my appearence!! Also as a former restaurant owner, you don't EVER do blue food. The only place it's found in plant life is in mold.....PLEEEZE don't put lighting on the other Regent ships!!!!

We were in an E grade suite and I'm afraid it was a triumph of design over functionality. It looked gorgeous but the lack of storage meant that DH & I were often in the closet at the same time trying to put clothes away or choose fresh clothes to wear, and there wasn't much room, we had to hang about and take turns - not good when we are running late. I also got really fed up with constantly bending down to the floor to get a water glass; we had a wonderful room steward who looked after us extremely well - but was constantly washing our glasses. Still, it saved me fom having to go to the gym. The chair is also a bit of a problem, the legs stick out at the back, beyond the body of the chair, we constantly had to remember to give it a wide berth, otherwise plenty of stubbed toes. Apart from the little niggles in our suite, we had a fabulous cruise!

Random observations:

I miss the bar being up high, and so does the housekeeping staff. But...I really didn't miss the drawer space, at least not for the two of us on a 12-night cruise. We actually had a few drawers in the closet that remained empty. I agree that it takes some extra 'give-and-take' when getting ready, but I usually just lay my clothes out on the bed and let my wife take over the closet/bathroom end of the cabin.

I did notice more clutter on the desk since there's really no place to store all of the papers and miscellaneous stuff you accumulate on board. If nothing else, it would be helpful to have a drawer or two available - even if it's on top of the desk - you could put the espresso machine on top of it and not lose any desk space.

I'd categorize the loss of overhead bars/drawers as a minor annoyance, not a big problem.

As to the 'mood lighting' in CR - I only saw the blue the entire cruise. The purple they had in a few photos was terrible, IMO. But after a day or so, the blue is virtually unnoticeable. It's more just adding color on the ceiling; the actual lighting in CR was provided by white LED lighting in the chandeliers. I didn't notice any blue cast on the food or the table. I may be in the minority, but I liked it.

Looks lovely.I like the look of the lighting in compas rose,but appreciate that we have not sat and ate there yet!

Disappointed to see no extra outside shade around pool areas on both levels.Not good for us.It was one huge reason we chose not to sail Navigator again on a warm cruise.
