  1. If you bought them now, you should be able to register for shareholder OBC for the May cruise, which needs to be submitted at least 3 weeks before your cruise. But of course no one knows if the perk will continue after the end of July.
  2. On both the questions of cost and quality of the desserts, pre covid one of the best choices for desserts was the variety of ice cream sundaes that P&O offered, which I am sure must have been quite inexpensive, but always good quality and very popular, and yet none existent now.
  3. I am fairly certain that Barbados is not a member of the EU, and yet luggage there has always gone straight from the plane to the ship. In addition I dont think that Malta fly cruises took place prior to covid, and we had left the EU well before that. But it is much easier to lay the blame on Brexit.
  4. I think the post was from a Caribbean fly cruise, probably there are likely to be fewer disabled passengers on a fly cruise, and when these cabins are not all booked it is quite likely they will given as "upgrades".
  5. There have been a number of comments about the inside cabins having been re-categorised as partially accessible, and the consensus is that the floor space could be a bit tight for motorized wheelchairs and scooters, but for standard manual wheelchairs they are more than adequate. So perhaps your worries will be unfounded.
  6. @Selbourne regarding the MDR food, perhaps you could try and find out who is the executive chef on board Aurora, then we will know to avoid him in future.
  7. Thank you that will be very helpful, we will be there on Iona's mid March cruise.
  8. @TigerB how far uphill, and how steep was the slope to get to those parks you visited. We have only been up that main shopping street to the first road crossing, but might be tempted to try it, if it's not too tiring for a doddering octogenarian pushing a wheelchair.
  9. Mind you there's nothing to say any new petrol model will be different, all new cars seem to have lots of new safety features.
  10. What is it about the hybrid that is causing concern? I think you mentioned that you did not like the automatic drive, is this different to the standard automatic of petrol and diesel engines? I know that fully EV automatic is generally in wheel single speed transmission, which of course is much smoother.
  11. If you have a phone, then they could text you, which even on the maritime network is not very expensive.
  12. Once you have registered your ownership on stockperks, I assume you only need to input each future cruise using the redemption feature. This only requires your cruise reference, the date, your name and e-mail address.
  13. I would be happy with that sort of a hybrid system, which would enable those without smart phones equal access to join a virtual queue. Anything that reduces the number of out of service tables, and maximises the efficient use of the MDR staff.
  14. The restaurant area at this hotel, which is used for breakfast, is generally completely empty by 11:00am. We stayed there until about 2:30 back in 2017 watching Hudds Town play Sheff Wed in the Championship play offs on our tablet.
  15. Not particularly ugly, but they do seem to be totally out of proportion. Surely the upper decks ought to be much wider, and it could be at least one deck less and still have the same passenger capacity.
  16. I would contact a good online TA and get them to check out the saver availability.
  17. You either need to request a statement from Equiniti or print one off if you have set up an account with them. The statement needs to show your name, your stockbrokers name, and your shareholding,, and be a recent date, but you can check this out on the stockperks app.
  18. But that's only to check out of your room, no hotel is going to throw you out of the lounge or coffee shop.
  19. You can remain in the hotel lounge/restaurant area for as long as you like, we have done that many times.
  20. Let's be fair MB, quite a lot of us on this forum have given up on long haul flights over the years, simply because we experienced so many delays, lost luggage and diversions that totally spoilt the enjoyment of our holidays. There may well have been mitigating circumstances to some of these problems, but if the comments about the Maleth problems and many others over the the years since we stopped flying are only half true, then the airline industry really does need to make major improvements to its customer service.
  21. I have used them for almost 10 yrs, and only had minor incident when I received a parking fine for Mayflower. But that was promptly handled and P4C dealt with the fine.
  22. Out of interest I just tried to redeem my OBC theough Stockperks for our Sept Iona cruise. It let me fill out the redemption form, but when I tried to enter I got a warning message that said:- You cannot redeem your benefit for cruises that start after 30th July 24, please enter your details for cruises before that date, for cruises starting after 30th July, check back in May to enter those cruises. I realise that might not mean the shareholder benefit will continue, but maybe gives us a little glimmer of hope.
  23. That must have cost you a lot more per diem than P&O, and you will be flying with one of the worst long haul carriers, according to todays paper.
