  1. Room service is unbelievably faster. You also have phone access to the concierge desk which can resolve issues immediately, and without escalation.
  2. That reminds me of my first pregnancy when one of my cravings was peaches. I live in SoCal and my husband, and I took a trip up to Tahoe and drove through the fruit trail, if that's the correct terminology. The most delicious peaches I have ever had, and I ate a ton, going up and coming back!
  3. I always follow the dress code, however just before a cruise awhile back I got a fungal infection on my big toe from a pedicure and had to have the toenail removed. I could not fit that foot into any sort of shoe whatsoever. So, to my chagrin, I just bought some sparkly sandals, and no one said a word. I did have that toe completely bandaged so no one would have to look at it.
  4. I think I beat you to the gift shop, got a Discovery specific coffee mug and two different styles of Discovery Inagural sweatshirts. And a Princess coffee mug with the seawitch logo.
  5. Duck a l'orange, Princess after many many years has finally gotten it right, Goat cheese souffle, Mushroom soup, Wedge salad, orange souffle, Avacado and shrimp salad on boarding day, Grandma's Coq au vin, the pastas, Bananas Foster, Chateau Briand (on longer cruises), any crepes or flambƩed type of desert, and last but not least the French bread dinner rolls!
  6. I love to follow your "Lives" and I love Hawaii so am anxiously waiting for you to board!
  7. Does the Sky still have the hot air balloons outside of the former Bistro Sur le Mar, not that it's been rebranded to Rudy's Catch?
  8. You won't be rebellious. Maybe 5 people will do the white and gold. Who looks good in white? So ridiculous.
  9. My last two cruises were on the Discovery, large angled mid-ship mini suite, and I had to beg for a foot rest. Even with a torn meniscus it was ridiculous how I had to elevate my request, and I didn't even get it til mid cruise.
  10. The Discovery is the most beautiful ship, but the crowds and lines spoilt the experience. And good luck trying to find a place to sit for a pre-dinner drink.
  11. Could you do me a favor and increase your font size? I'm trying to follow along but have difficulty reading. Thanks so much!
  12. So then would the Club Class Dining Manager formerly have been known as a Head Waiter?
  13. I've always brought my own blow dryer, Conair, and have never had a problem.
  14. It also covers trip interruption. I got noro several years ago and was reimbursed for my quarantine period.
  15. For next time, Uber is the only way to go in SF.
  16. I was in E730 once, same ship, and can absolutely vouch for the vibration, especially when the ship is docked in port.
  17. Cruisemapper is showing stops at Monterey this year. Hope it's accurate. Monterey CA (California) cruise port schedule | CruiseMapper
  18. This recipe for the Goat Cheese Souffle was posted a few years ago. Princess Goat Cheese Souffle.docx
  19. I sailed them this past Halloween on the Discovery and they were no bother at all. Just regular passengers.
  20. I am so sorry your cruise is over! Thanks to your wonderful review and photos, I saw parts of the world that I will never see!
  21. And another reason to get it while onboard is that my medical report was incorrect. When I got it online the doctor/nurse who filled it out was no longer on the ship.
