  1. Could you show us this in the Currents. 28 cruises with O and never heard of it.
  2. Interesting how people are talking about prices going up, but pretty much anything not selling in the next 6 months seems to have had the Ultimate added to it. In the past month I have received 4 mailers printed up for the Ultimate itineraries. In the past these would only be a notice from a TA, not a special printed mailer. This tells me they are having trouble filling their itineraries. I could be wrong.
  3. Have you been on a tour with Spain Day Tours?
  4. We had breakfast every morning in the GDR and there was Strawberry there every day but one, then the waiter got from a table close by. This was on Riviera from 3/12-22/23
  5. I remember someone that wasn't happy that we wanted to spend more time in Ravello instead of Positano as we had been there multiple times before. I think we had set the tour up to spend extra time in Ravello and had stated that up front. I think there were 4 of us couples on that tour. We actually were on a back-to-back on that cruise and hit that port twice within a couple of weeks. Nice to see you getting close to the 20th. At the 15th it's not too hard to get there. With what we have booked we're looking at 30. 40 still seems a long way off.
  6. The free cruise is 14 days. If you choose one that is less than that you are cheating yourself. If you choose one that is more then you pay the difference. You are in the average of what rooms you have booked for the previous 19 cruises. Try to find a 14 day cruise on an itinerary that you want to go on that is expensive. We went on a Norway Fjords cruises, which is only offered a couple times a year and is expensive, it just happened to be 14 day.
  7. I might need to duck here, but I don't think of British food as anything special. Other than maybe Fish and Chips, and that's ok on the buffet anytime. Not really what I think of as fine cuisine.
  8. I got nothing to add but congratulations, enjoy.
  9. I noticed this post while still on board the Riviera on the cruise ending on the 22nd. I think you might have been on that one and the one before. I was wondering at the time if we were on the same cruise as I saw no quarantine, no one in hazmat suits and no evidence of anyone being offloaded. I didn't want to jinx myself by mentioning it at the time, but having been home almost a week I think I'm ok. At any rate maybe it was because I was on deck 7 by the aft elevators and just shot right down to 6 for meals or Martinis, disembarking at ports and going to the Theater. If going up to Terrace I took the elevator as my knee was acting up. My point is I spent very little time walking down hallways on 7, 8, 9, 10, & 11, so I might have missed seeing anything. I did notice some passengers wearing masks, and a few crew.
  10. I won't argue the point with you, but I think many merchants take a credit card to make it convenient for the customer, and if I pay cash it's the same price.
  11. Have you been on an Amtrak trip in the last few years? So basically they charge you an upcharge for using a credit card. I noticed a lot of restaurants on the Gulf Coast have started doing this in the last few years. To be legal they couch it as a cash discount, but it's really a way for them to not pay the CC transaction fees.
  12. It's by design that they don't. I know it seems like it would be a simple thing, and it would be. But, it's a perk for those who are willing to spend the extra to be in a Concierge Room or higher. If they had them in Horizons then everyone would have access to them. Next up the chain is when you're in an Oceania Suite or higher you get to have a newspaper of your choice delivered to your room daily. The rest of us in the lower categories have to make do with 2 or 3 day old news that they put in the room each night with the Currents. For those that really want the news we do get free internet.
  13. FYI, this is always included and has nothing to do with a deal. This is part of the bare bones cruise only fare and everything above it.
  14. I just booked a cruise while onboard for Jan 21 of 2024. That would be about 10 months away, or about 300 days(approximately, I'm not doing math today) I am in a B4 and booked all of my excursions within a day of booking the cruise. So, if this rule is happening, it hasn't started yet.
  15. I'm pretty sure none of that is going to be on a drink package. I believe all of that is priced as marked, if you can find it. The best bet would probably be in Polo Grill. But $25 for a pour of 10 old Abelour, I don't think so. I can buy a 750 ml bottle for about $42 at our local store, it used to be about $30.
  16. They knew I was onboard, it's a conspiracy against me.
  17. We once had 25% off on a future cruise, but it was only a specific ship, on specific dates. That was one of our best deals every. The reason it was offered was due to a noro outbreak and ironically enough we were denied entry to Bermuda due to that.
  18. Just to sum things up. I had a good time, I saw no downgrade in service from Oceania cruises past. The food as always ran from excellent to ok. Biggest dropoff I would have to say was Red Ginger. I ate there twice and the tempura was excellent, but the meat dishes I had weren't that great. I had the Bulgogi and the Penaeng. The meat on both was a bit fatty and the Penaeng wasn't really to my liking. I didn't eat in Polo this trip. Ate in Jacques twice. Both times were excellent, pork chop once & filet the other time. Toscana was also very good. I ate breakfast every morning in the GDR except for the disembarkation day. Service couldn't have been better in the GDR at breakfast. I had a lot of different options and enjoyed most of them. We had dinner at least one night in there and it was also very good. I know that there are some other reviews on this trip where there are some real unhappy people with what happened on the change in itinerary. Here is my viewpoint on this. I originally had scheduled a trip on Riviera in Jan just to get away from the cold. It was a Caribbean trip, and I didn't really care where it was going. I had to cancel it and reschedule due to some medical issues. The time period on this cruise worked out best for us. I have been to Bermuda 3 or 4 times and I wasn't taking this trip to necessarily go to Bermuda. So, my perspective on the change and substitutions are going to be different than others. FWIW, I've been to worse ports than Jacksonville. I can see where others can be annoyed about what occurred. I'm not weighing in on what could or couldn't have been done. Just like many things, I'm not in charge. I was just along for the ride. It wouldn't have made me mad either if Oceania would have, or would offer some concessions for what occurred. But I don't feel they are obligated to. At best it would be a goodwill gesture, but considering the current situation I can see how the company needs to watch every dollar. I do feel sorry for those that were first time cruisers with Oceania or those that had their heart set on going to Bermuda. Just my .02. Oh, and I got to spend some time with some of my favorite cruise partners.
  19. Probably not on an Oceania free shuttle.
  20. I’ll think this over and give some final thoughts in a day or so
  21. We had E muster on Riviera on the 3/22 cruise.
  22. I’m pretty sure luck had nothing to do with this situation.
  23. I do believe the poster in question has been unhappy with Oceania for a few years now. Maybe they’re just tired of hearing it.
  24. I’ve heard stories of people booking an inside guarantee and getting a B4. Seems to be a savings to me.
