  1. Has cruising started back in Japan, SE Asia etc yet?
  2. Historically some of the Grand Voyages came with complimentary laundry, anytime. At the minimum it would seem you would reset each segment, but I don't know for sure. I'd ask your TA or Oceania if you booked direct.
  3. Owner's Suites are only at the rear of the ship on Oceania Ships. Vista Suites are on the front.
  4. This is likely to occur when docking or departing, but once underway should be fine.
  5. Wouldn’t you have the same grats, air, hotel, etc costs on any cruise? I look at it as the cruise is a bonus, I wouldn’t pay all the extra cost if I didn’t want to go. Are they where and when I’d pick? No, but it’s really cheap cruise. My incidentals aren’t as high as yours though. Flying on miles, hotel on points
  6. Of course it's hard to know. It's not like they put the sick numbers in Currents. When we were on Regatta the only way to know was if you saw medical people in hazmat suit entering a room, or if a highly visible staff member goes missing for a few days.
  7. Just a couple of points I noticed. If I understand correctly you are booking the hotel through Oceania. In the past I have had issues with Marriott honoring my status when booking through a third party. Have you ever experienced this issue? I'm not a top tier though, just Platinum. As far as transfers go, my experience in Athens is that it was much further from the airport to the hotel than it was hotel to the cruise port. You may already know but the Spa Terrace has no service, so you need to take any refreshments you want while there with you. There is a frig in the gym with water and some energy type drinks. Enjoy your cruise.
  8. You're not wrong, can't imagine carrying one of those off the ship.
  9. Meanwhile my meals in Toscana on Regatta were fantastic. The lasagna I had was back to some of the best I've ever had. Over the years it's been hit and miss from ship to ship.
  10. It's obviously working if they are making people feel like it's a positive move by them. Every little bit helps, but.................
  11. Yes, but keep in mind that just because you or I might think something is a problem doesn't mean that the moderator will. This board has always had quite a bit of freedom, I like it that way as opposed to always disappearing posts. There was a board I have frequented in the past that seemed to be if someone reported a post, it disappeared, whether it violated guidelines or not.
  12. Also, there are no restaurants off limits to everyone on the ship. The upper suites will get more reservations, but there's no special restaurant or bar or pool area for them. Also no reserved theatre seating. These are the hallmarks of the Mass Market "special" guests.
  13. Is that on either package? To the OP, it is not full bar on the Premium Package, there are a lot of top shelf choices that you don't get with it. It's those on the Bar Menu. I'm a scotch drinker and recently on Regatta they had Oban, Balvennie, Macallan 12, and a couple of others that were not on the package, but you could have Macallan Quest, Glenfiddich & Dalwinnie 15, which wasn't bad.
  14. On Regatta it was directly one floor above the Concierge Desk and across the stairway from the OCA desk (Future Cruise Sales) on deck 5, starboard. Probably set up the same on all the R ships.
  15. Yes, and no corkage charge if it's comped wine.
  16. No, Oceania does not ask any of the above, perhaps you do, but not the dress code. Once again, it's real simple, read the dress code, don't interpret it, just follow it. The problem always with these threads is that people want the dress code to be what they want, not what it is.
  17. Ah, I didn't notice he mentioned the open sides.
  18. I didn't look at the deck plan but I'm pretty sure there is more than 4 in the B category.
  19. I'm assuming with the smiley face you're joking. Some people just don't like dark chocolate. My wife doesn't, so that works for me with the bedtime chocolates, I get both of them, but usually have them first thing in the morning.
  20. This is what I did with the exception of letting my excellent TA handle it all. I knew the approximate level of room we would have and booked a B3 extended balcony. In the proper time frame she had in converted to the free cruise. You do have to pay government fees & taxes. This came out of the deposit. This is about the only time with Oceania that this is broken out separately.
  21. It's ok, we know you're from another culture and wouldn't correct your grammar. 🤣
  22. We had all these also on Regatta, as well as raspberries, but I'm not a raspberry fan. Also had bananas and pineapples, but that's all covered under where JoePDX said "and I am sure more."
