  1. We boarded Reflection on 12/31/2022 for a New Year's cruise. There were kids but not an abundance of them on our cruise. Our impression was that the crew was tired from the last cruise. Our butler told us that all of her suites were booked to capacity. Not saying you won't have a good cruise but expect a lot of families and kids. This was our 3rd New Year's cruise since 2012. The 1st 2 were longer and had a different vibe than this last one. We would not do it again.
  2. Because there is no easy yes or no answer. My advice, wait until you board and be prepared to be pleasantly surprised or majorly disappointed.
  3. We've always enjoyed the lamb on Celebrity. I was convinced I hated lamb until Celebrity when I knew I could order it and get something else if I didn't like it. Haven't looked back. That's one of the great things about cruising, trying things you would not ordinarily eat or order in a restaurant.
  4. I like the dining room but would have no problem going to this buffet for dinner. I hope it is changed for the better on all the ships.
  5. What is with this fascination with lobster on Celebrity. i can buy bigger and better tails at Sams Club, or whole lobster down the strip. Cooking either is easy, I cooked Murano lobster 2 weeks ago. Oh, BTW, the are cold water lobster.
  6. If you have, or request, a booking confirmation the name of the vacation planner and his/her phone # is listed.
  7. Go Green is the best hidden link on Celebrity's website, so here it is: Celebrity Cruises (sfmc-content.com) We used it on our last cruise in a RS. The room steward cleaned the suite in the evening and made the bed and refreshed hand towels in the morning, along with emptying trash.
  8. Shore side staff are not employed by Celebrity and with this program that is probably very seldom used I can't fault them for questioning you. Embarking in Ft. Lauderdale in a RS we had a new staff member insisting we were in the wrong place and had to go up the escalator to the general check in line. A supervisor quickly showed up and reminded her to check our boarding pass for the word "suite". Did your parents have to pay the daily gratuities at the Retreat level and did they have butler and in room bar service?
  9. The query can be quirky but i eventually get it to work with a one time exception last year.
  10. Log into your account, manage reservation, pay balance. You should see a link on that page to cancel your cruise.
  11. Here's the link to the port web site. Port of Everglades - Public View (broward.org) If your cruise date is not shown use the Query function.
  12. According to #8 & 9 in the flyer you posted on another thread a FCC will still be issued for a ship or sailing date change. 8. What is a change fee and when will it be charged? A change fee of $100.00 USD per person will be charged on all bookings made if booked under a non-refundable deposit fare at the time of changing ship/sail date. Please ensure your clients are aware of the non-refundable deposit terms prior to booking. 9. Will my clients be charged a change fee each time there is a change to a ship/sail date? Each time clients change a ship/sail date, they will be charged a $100.00 USD per person change fee prior to final payment. After final payment, standard penalties will apply.
  13. It was open for lunch on Edge on port days. On S class ships Sushi on 5 is open on port days for lunch.
  14. The lobster portion is small and prepared tableside. So is,the château. They are both plated as part of the preparation making it difficult to share 2 lobsters and one beef 3 ways. You might want to consider 3 lobsters with the beef on the side.
  15. I too thought my Go Green points did not post then I realized they were just added to the regular points so my 8 night cruise gave us the points for a 9 night cruise. We opted for evening service too because that worked better for us. Our hand towels and wash cloths were replaced every morning. The bathroom was cleaned in the evening while we were at dinner. I don't know when, or even if they vacuumed since we tend not to make a mess. Waste baskets were emptied morning and night and used glasses were replaced.
  16. We take a copy of the email we sent to the shore side concierge in case there is any confusion over what we requested. However, we would not give a list of wants to the butler when we met him or her. We do let them know that we will be requesting coffee every morning and maybe cereal, fruit or pastries. A lot of the butlers take notes upon meeting you.
  17. If you cancel one you will have a $100 pp change fee. The difference would be a Future Cruise Credit that can be applied to the other cruise once issued.
  18. No, Cranston is a bar tender from Jamica. He left for vacation right before we sailed on Reflection.
  19. How about the cream filled pastry swans. A lot of work went into them and they didn't taste too bad either.
  20. Overall we saw no major difference pre and post covid. The only think that changed was the push by the butler to have you go the Retreat lounge for afternoon snacks rather than delivering something to your suite. This didn't bother us because it was less calories and we didn't gain any weight. Service in Luminae was rushed unless we went later but this was a fully booked New Year's cruise.
  21. Calling might not be the only way but it is the best way to handle it. Otherwise, you could end up with a brand new booking. You will keep the OBC for booking on board but the amount can change if the length of the cruise or cabin type changes. Any other OBC as the result of a promotion when you booked will be subject to the current offer. It is a $100 PP change fee. Make sure you keep the same booking number.
