  1. As long as your husband wears a jacket and a dress shirt you will be fine.
  2. Won’t we go through Customs when we leave the ship in St. John. Our flight will be to Toronto where there should be no immigration since we are still in Canada. We are flying from there to IAD, Dulles, and I will expect immigration at that airport. Never had a problem with immigration or customs at that airport.
  3. I remember back in The 60’s it was not unusual for luggage to end up in the water. Claims were always filed with the Stevedores. We had the air tight and water tight American Tourister luggage and one survived a dump in the water.
  4. We also had that experience in Heathrow, the longest immigration line ever. We were all shuffled to one line, no global entry or Business Class line. Didn’t enjoy this after being on a red eye flight. We are going thru Brussels this time and they do have a different line for Business Class and you can also buy a pass for the expedited line for 12€ .
  5. With face netting the midges are not a problem. The netting keeps them out of your face.
  6. Guess the OP prefers the fat content of the Ribeye. The filet is much leaner but some prefer the fattier cuts.
  7. Be assured that Cunard still has Gala evening and most men wear tuxes.
  8. I remember her corridor carpets from 2004. Once I realized they were purposely faded it no longer bothered me. Love the QM2!
  9. The Spa Suites are far removed from any other cabins. On the small ships there is no elevator so you must walk up a winding staircase unless you use the chair lift. Our cabins were serviced twice a day and we were happy. We did not order room service but I am confident it would have been delivered if we asked. The Ovation and Encore have elevators to the five spa suites but you are still isolated, once your room is serviced you won’t see your cabin attendants until evening turn down. We saw our attendants on other decks but they were not servicing the other Penthouse Suites on the same deck.
  10. No, you won’t avoid crowds on tenders. They will often wait until they have mostly full load. We waited on the pier instead of the tender as it was cooler. They should wear masks whenever they are not eating or drinking. Is a cruise the right vacation for those afraid of catching COVID?
  11. Once we have to check out of our hotel we will move to the port. Hopefully Seabourn will provide a place to wait.
  12. I would be careful with magnets, especially small ones, children could walk by and put them in their mouth. The magnets can be dangerous.
  13. There are always problems with the website on weekends.
  14. Has the QM2 saluted you with her whistles? It’s always fun when you are onboard the QM2 and another ship challenges her. This may be frowned on with todays world situation. The QM2 has two “steam” whistles, one from the original Queen Mary. There is a definite difference in sound and in timing.
  15. The cold cut photos are away for the Mortadella. That is exactly how it should look. The ham, did it all look like that?
  16. That’s what we did and never had a problem. We plug a small nightlight into the shaver outlet.
  17. We booked a deviation flight through Regent. Our booking looks ok in the airline’s site but it says the flights are not eligible for United air miles. Is this always the case that you can’t earn miles on Regent contracted flights?
  18. They are available 21 days before you embark.
  19. Celebrity does have Coke products on board so if you have a drink package there is no need to carry cans. They will have Coke, Coke Zero, Diet Coke, Sprite and Diet Sprite.
  20. Just call the Credit Card Company and say your card was damaged. They will send you a new one.
  21. How did they get extra clothing in the store. I didn’t know they could add stock during a cruise.
  22. Whether it was held or not before the pandemic had more to do with the number of Elite and over guests. On Repositioning cruises it included more than half of the passengers making it too large to accommodate in one venue. Celebrity then have drink coupons.
  23. Did not notice any cutbacks in the Queens Grill, in fact it was much improved over our pre COVID sailings. We had Osman and he always had numerous off menu suggestions. My husband had escargot whenever he wanted it as an appetizer. Everything we requested was available. No cutbacks on our B2B trans Atlantics.
