WE were on a B2B on Allure earlier this year that docked at the Celebrity pier . Turnaround day for us, so we didn't get off.

We will be headed out to Port Everglades at 10 this morning for our B3B on Allure of the seas. Check in is 11. I don't expect it to be quite as busy as our July cruise was. October is not usually bad. Here on the east coast we really just had a little rain, and as Ian came across the state, we got windy with the west winds. Our kids on the west coast of the state were north on the bad stuff, and had no issues. They were planning a trip to Michigan to see his family, and with Tampa and Orlando airports shut down, managed to get a flight out of FLL, so they are now in Michigan. This will be the last of our double point trips, but our C&A points will be at 686 when we come home. Since Allure will be going to Galveston soon, our next cruise will be Harmony out of Everglades in January. That will be the ones that will get us to the magic 700.

Allure of the seas is on a western route this week, which usually goes north of Cuba , right where Ian would be. So she went south of Cuba this time, staying away from the storm.

I just looked on Flightrader24 and there is a high altitude balloon headed that way. It has been used before for providing cell phone service to areas that have wide spread outage. I believe it was used in Puerto Rico when their system got wiped out that last time they had a hurricane hit.

I am just going by what has happened in the past as reported in local media.

I had OBC on a canceled covid cruise that showed up after restart. Also, booking cruise after restart, while using FCC's the agent noticed that I also had OBC from the Next Cruise desk, and restored those.

Somebody tried to scam me yesterday. I ordered something from Amazon , and received a text message supposedly from the post office, telling me that there was a package with an incomplete address, that I needed to fix. The hook was that i needed to pay a fee to fix this, give them a CC number. I decided I would let Amazon fix this if it is a problem. The package was just delivered. I don't actually know if Amazon ever uses the USPS, but I think FedEx does.

On our last B2B , we came down the aft elevators to go forward to the theater for the B2B cruisers. Guy in front on the elevator informed us where the back of the line. So we just went up to 6, down the stairs and on to the theater. He probably wouldn't have believed me anyway, On Oasis class, we now use Central Park to get to the other end of the ship.
