Geez. Local new media reports NCL dropped their pre cruise covid test as the headline. Then the article goes on to say it doesn't apply to the US, Canada, and a couple of other places. I wonder how any people read the headline, and not bother with the rest.

I thought that they went up to the antennas and connected directly, not through the ship wifi. I saw that too.

THe last sentence talked about wifi connectivity, which has nothing to do with Starlink. Starlink will only affect internet performance . Running a speedtest will show what connection is being used for the intermet.

And how did you know it was Starlink being used?

WE don't know what happened to the individuals in the recent incidents, , but what OP talked about has been the policy for the over 20 years of my recent cruising.

When you book your cabana, the concierge will ask for a list of all people in their party, regardless of C&A status or stateroom, and the Barefoot Beach concierge will have that list, and they will have access.

Suites have first dibs on renting the cabanas. They can invite anyone they want to join them And any cabana not being taken by the suites are available. RCI will not pass up the chance to make money, and an empty cabana makes no money. It does help to have access to a concierge to make the arrangement, so being Diamond helps.

On small note to you and your fellow CD's. often after the Captain makes his mid day announcement, the CD would make their announcement, at a significantly louder volume, making it impossible to understand what is being said. You would see a lot of people covering their ears just to try to understand.

Do we really think the ship's wifi network can support the current usage, since we are asked to rely on the app in place of the printed daily paper. On a recent cruise, with spring break folks on board, there were an awful lot of people walking around with the phones in their faces, and I don't think they were using the app for that.

Its just been a year ago that we took our first post shutdown cruise on Adventure out of Nassau. We will be on Allure on July 17, for 2 weeks. First time to sail in July, but these are casino comp cruises. Since the county no longer has testing, I ordered the emed tests on Friday, and yesterday the arrived. I didn't even pay extra for expedited processing. I also ordered the free government test kits. Up till now, we have never had any symptoms, so we have only gotten tested for cruising. But, it will be nice to have them around. WE also have n95 masks in case we get concerned while cruising. We can also still go to Publix to get a second booster shot. No use taking chances. WE did go over to the west coast to watch the grand kids while their parents took a 7 day cruise. Haven't heard of anyone getting sick from that.

are you sure you're getting a 5G signal. When I run the test on my phone. it says 5G in the upper right corner. If I am not receiving 5G, it says LTE. The symbol you are showing is one I get when I am my home wifi. I keep wifi turned off on the phone.
