  1. There’s always a laundry bag in the wardrobe. I haven’t received the little plastic bag for several cruises; just use the bigger paper bag. Get more in.
  2. That duty free shop after security and checkin in Barcelona is going to see increased profits!!! 😉
  3. It’s in the February C&A newsletter received yesterday CRYSTAL BLOCKS, NOW IN COLOR This spring, we're debuting limited-edition crystal blocks while supplies last. Members receive their first crystal block at 140 cruise points and earn subsequent blocks for every 70 points thereafter. We will be transitioning to these new blocks as we say goodbye to the current designs.
  4. “This spring, we're debuting limited-edition crystal blocks while supplies last.“ what happens when supplies run out?!
  5. There is no W&F on sailings under 5n ( not sure if that’s another new “enhancement” or not?)
  6. I’m wondering whether the early bidders push up the prices for the 30 dayers? So say the guideline bids now for a balcony are $100-$300 and the early bidders all bid $300… when it opens for all at 30 days; will the guideline then be $300-$500 ? I’m not seeing any advantages to bidding early as cabins aren’t allocated until sailing and if my theory works, you’re only pushing prices up and you’ll be outbid!
  7. Our cruise is 50+ days away. Some people have received emails inviting them to RoyalUp. Some people are able to access the website ( they have not received the email) and submit bids. Some people cannot access the website and get the error message about trying within 30 days. I assume that the bean counters only look at those who offer to pay the most so early submissions don’t really have any advantages? Otherwise this seems unfair?
  8. Who spotted the laundry offer is now just on one day… so you both have to send it on the same day to get it for free… 30 On 5+ night sailings only, Diamond Plus and Pinnacle Club members receive one free $34.99 bag of laundry on Wash & Fold Day. Only valid on the day of the ship’s Wash & Fold laundry promotion. Not valid for any pressing or dry-cleaning services.

  10. Sceptical LB thinks they tried to get rid of the classy crystal blocks and there was an uproar so they had to keep them. Cunning plan to alter the design of the classy blocks to ugly plastic looking blocks; no one will want them … so they can legitimately say “client feedback is that our valued loyalty guests do not want these blocks” so we will discontinue them. Let’s see! 🤷‍♀️
  11. You get it on the cruise where you hit 149/210 etc. Not necessarily on the exact date though. Call and they will send.
  12. That’s how I read it too. How much does a tin of Diet Coke cost at the quantity RCI buy it?? Ten cents?
  13. Much nicer! If you have over 140 points then call c&a and they will identify what cruise you were on when you were due your block and they’ll be sent out to you. It always surprises me the number of people who claim they have never got a block. Ours have always begun delivered bang on schedule - usually just left on the bed. I wonder how this announcement has impacted the eBay sales of blocks!
  14. On the new flyer released today…..Each day of the cruise, Diamond members receive four (4) complimentary drink vouchers, Diamond Plus members receive five (5) complimentary drink vouchers, and Pinnacle Club members receive six (6) complimentary vouchers up to $14 in value ($13 on Singapore sailings and $15 on Australia sailings). These vouchers can be used at any time and at any bar onboard or onshore at our private destinations. Drink vouchers may also be used toward a discount off the purchase of any bottle of wine — 20% off bottles over $100 and 40% off bottles under $100. Every time a drink voucher is redeemed, a zero-dollar ($0) receipt will be provided and must be signed. Youth members will receive the same daily allotment of complimentary vouchers as their parents of the same tier and may be used toward the purchase of non-alcoholic beverages (including mocktails). All drink vouchers reset daily at 5:00am and are redeemable until 4:59am the next day. Excludes Starbucks and Bionic Bar.
  15. So how many drinks vouchers do you have to trade to get the wine discount? a tempting discount on your favorite bottle of wine — 20% off bottles over $100 and 40% off bottles under $100. The discounted wine benefit will take effect starting March 10, 2023.
  16. @nyletak no, if you buy a drink individually for $14 then you will have the tips and the taxes added. Two separate additions will be shown on the bill. I remember a friend buying an espresso martini and being amazed at the final price being close to $20-
  17. On a 3n cruise you only get one amenity even if you’re entitled to 3 (525 points) Yes to Wi-Fi and bogo dining
  18. Chania is charming: another maze of streets, gorgeous shops, and gold beers!
  19. You can either tender or dock in Mykonos. If you tender then you are dropped right in the harbour a short walk to town. If you are docked then you catch the ferry (sea us) across the bay and are dropped at exactly the same harbour. €2pp e/w
  20. Yes as an intra EU sailing there is tax to pay in addition to the tips. Here are the drinks packages costs if you bought onboard, for Wonder 7n last year to give you an idea of how much the taxes push the prices up.
  21. He's not exactly Stanley Tucci is he?! Just watching the first episode full of whining!
  22. Does anyone know the time of the last shuttle from Ravenna train station 🚉 to the port please on embarkation day? I think I read 3p somewhere but need to check for 2023! Ta.
  23. The entry tax to Venice for tourists who do not stay there, initially scheduled for January 16, 2023, will not become effective until 2024. Travelers departing from Marco Polo di Tessera, the nearest airport to Venice, will have to pay a €2.50 surcharge. The fee will come into effect on April 1, 2024.
