  1. If not successful, then the OP can translate. But you should be able to match up with a spanish speaking waiter
  2. I booked an 8-night cruise in summer 2024 in a GS for $3500 for 3. That's cheap. I've got my eye on a 5-night cruise in fall 2023 in a GS that's quite cheap, too. Deals are most certainly out there.
  3. No one should be surprised that Icon is heavily marked up.
  4. Park Cafe will be your Cafe Prominade equivalent on that class of ships, albeit much smaller.
  5. In June on Serenade we still had the limited suite lounge menu. I hope they've expanded that since then.
  6. Treat it like you would a sports bar on land. If there are open tables, it may not be a big deal, but if the place is full, I'd want to order something every so often.
  7. Cruises, flights, even sporting events used to be a place to be seen. A place to feel like you're a movie star. Then people realized that being relaxed and anonymous was better than being a wannabe celebrity.
  8. It depends on how you approach the vacation. If you want to be on the go and see/do everything, then it'd be more stressful than it's worth. If you can just relax, enjoy the down time and the break away from the real world, and manage to fit in a few things you want to as your child allows, then most certainly, it's enjoyable.
  9. The only time I had a similar issue is when I booked a cruise with FCC. Sometime between booking and shortly before final payment something got messed up and I owed more money than I should have. It was quickly fixed though.
  10. Has anyone stayed at this hotel recently? Recent reviews seem to be night and day mixed.
  11. Since Serenade's lounge has a dedicated bar, you can probably squeeze in a full drink before you take one to dinner.
  12. Having a bar right there in the lounge is great. So the good thing is you get faster service. The bad thing, post covid, is you're more limited on what you can order.
  13. Go to the suite lounge, get a drink for dinner, go to dinner, go back to the lounge for the 2nd half of the happy hour.
  14. I wonder how many had anything more than mild symptoms? That ship in Australia that had 800 test positive had no one with more than mild symptoms and most were asymptomatic. Covid still exists, obviously, but massive overreactions should be long gone by now.
  15. What percentage of cruisers fit into that category? 1%? Seems like more of a new "look at us we're doing something" protocol. I have seen no such reports.
  16. Southwest, much like RC, operates on old technology because upgrading costs money and right now they have no issue filling flights so why invest such capital?
  17. Labadee has an entire area for suite guests.
  18. POS systems aren't simple when you have many dozen things that can be ordered. Plus many variations to how an individual thing can be ordered. Plus many ways they can be ordered (a la carte, vouchers, beverage packages, etc). RC POS systems aren't done in house. It's a 3rd party https://www.agilysys.com/en/solutions/by-industry/cruise-lines/
