  1. Show reservations (on bigger ships) can only be accessed through the ship wifi. You may or may not be able to connect from the terminal building. Has nothing to do with safety briefing. If you have a specialty restaurant package you may have a courtesy reservation for the first night. To change that or make others you can call hotline (think 2323), go to kiosk in Promenade, or any specialty restaurant. Again, nothing to do with safety briefing. Safety briefing requires observing 1 minute video and checking in at your muster station. Latter usually open just after boarding starts.
  2. Check in generally at midnight 46 days at the location the ship is embarking. For Florida this would be Eastern time. Seattle, Western time zone, on the 45th day before the cruise (so just after midnight on the 46th day). Note that sometimes it doesn't get activated for a while. Most people don't bother with that late/early and logging in that morning is fine. My last cruise logged in 5 days later and still got second boarding time. To get an arrival time on the app, you can skip all the checkin details and select your arrival time and fill in the rest later. On web you need to put in your personal information, add passport/id info, contact info, and credit card info before doing arrival time. Security photo can be added with either. Vax card can be uploaded with app but not online. Not doing flight info except for disembark, done onboard. Port Canaveral is just one big line except suites/Pinnacle/key. They don't care what time you arrive. Long line still only took 1/2 hour last month at 12:00. Other ports have separate lines for each time block. If you arrive late they may let you in, or have you go to the end of the current block being processed. Even if you upload passport, vax card and security photo they will likely do them again at the port.
  3. System doesn't normally allow me to set up more than one account/password for one person (last name/birthdate/cabin). So once I log in to the full cruise account I can't get to the free Diamond days. You might get the two separate purchases to show up but also might need to go down to the help desk. No big deal.
  4. You could book the two ladies in one cabin and buy the package for that cabin. Guys probably don't want photos of just them, so any photo taken with one of the ladies would be included.
  5. Lab Doctor on 17th is $49 for antigen test, no appointment. Open til 6 weekdays 4 on Saturday and Sunday or even wait until morning of cruise. You should be able to take the trolley there from Olas Blvd - last stop before getting to the Harbor Shops. Airport is expensive. Several places now do proctored tests with your test kit for around $25US. Great if you have a good internet connection at home or even in your hotel in Ft Lauderdale.

  7. They didn't check licenses at all a few weeks ago but under age 16 would not be allowed to purchase a driver ride. The ride is a convoy, so it is not like you are riding totally alone. Might depend on how young the driver looks. They do have lockers right there in case you are worried about losing your ship ID and license on the ride.
  8. You only need the Navica account if you want a QR code with the results. Emed sends the results via email. Also, only adults can have Emed accounts but when you log in for the test you can identify a different person being tested. I seem to recall last time that the test logged my off when it completed, but not sure. In our case we tested on separate computers at the same time, using two adult logins. The hardest part of the test was moving the camera up and down to show face and test materials. Hard to see the laptop screen when it was tilted down for the 15 minutes so we could see the "ready to read" button at the end of the 15 minutes timer. And had to move the cursor around a few times during test to keep the screen from going to sleep.
  9. You were part of the thread cited above. Based on the other thread (your response) the person in your group will likely be denied boarding on a flight to Vancouver. Maybe if they drive the border agents won't detect it, maybe not, depending on if their passport is flagged.
  10. Several weeks later and never got a response from the photo shop. Figured I had better at least download the photo we wanted the most. The site showed I had one unlock available so I unlocked and downloaded that. But the other photo (second order onboard) showed as unlocked, so was able to also download that one. So - if you do two free D+ photos to the same email address you only get one account with one photo already unlocked (latest order) and a second unlock available which can unlock any of the photos in the set, not necessarily the one selected onboard. Worked, but wish they had told me this. Still recommend not ordering more than one photo package to the same email address.
  11. Had ten Celebrity and Royal cruises booked for the next year. With prices in the mid-30th made sense to buy stock. Didn't get confirmation of purchase before first of those cruises but was able to submit for the remaining nine. In four days had confirmation of $900 worth of OBC. Used retirement money that I wasn't spending anyway. Now if the dividend ever come back will have stock paid for in a couple of years. Maybe three if only OBC.
  12. If you want to book online you need to pay full price. By booking a package you get times that are left over.
  13. Sent in request Monday for cruises from late August through April 2023. Nine emails showing applied OBC appeared on Wednesday and in Cruise Planner.
  14. Showing up without reservations when the dining room opens seldom works. For the most part the dining room is used before that for fixed seating and even guests with reservations may have to wait for a table. Just like on land, there may be a long wait if the dining room is full. On Symphony this spring they were taking people from that line to the other dining rooms if they didn't want to wait but took a few days to get this organized. Waits were an hour or more.
  15. Have never heard of a cruise line farming out work from online booking on their website to other companies but interesting. Doubt that once a booking is entered in their booking database from their website that it would ever need any action by another agency.
  16. Or use the ones supplied free by government and pay for the proctor service.
  17. Check in together. On Equinox when they had multiple buses they had different sticker numbers and issued stickers based on the number of people in a group. This way they didn't have four people on one bus and one on another.
  18. Saw the same thing - drink and internet packages only show for the person logging in. Need to check both accounts.
  19. Larger. Seemed almost double, although ice melts very fast so drink becomes too watered down so you might not get to drink as much.
  20. Believe the water taxi is outbound only. For some reason everyone getting back on the pier has to go through metal detectors and xrays on the island instead of on ship.
  21. On June 26 we arrived at noon. Separate line for suites/pin/key. All others got in a very long line. Zigzag from terminal out to the end of the parking garage, then wrap back on left to the terminal entrance, then back out to the end of parking garage. On first approach to terminal they pulled groups with kids that needed testing. Everyone else looped back to the end of the zigzag. Chaos? Took about 20 minutes, and it looked like they were just starting processing when we arrive.
  22. The parking garage for Terminal 1 is attached to the terminal. Royal also often uses a terminal 5 for Mariner. According to the port their parking is adjacent, but we haven't been there. My guess is that unless you have problems walking a few steps it would be better to park first.
  23. Dolphin Discovery on Cozumel inside Chankanaab park has good options. You can book this through the cruise but is cheaper direct - just take a taxi to the park. Dolphin package includes park admission. Large open lagoon and good facilities. Family has also gone to Dolphinaris and liked that as well. Costa Maya are small enclosures in the port.
  24. Saw a number of these on Harmony last week. Significant problems getting elevator space and in hallways. Wheelchairs and scooters were also having a lot of problems. The front/rear versions had a bit less issue in halls but still waited a lot for elevators with space. Piano player in elevator also reduced number of people who could ride a lot. Depending on where you are going in Europe, be prepared for cobble streets. Strollers don't work well on these.
  25. A few people actually like this show. Many walk out in mid-show. Not sure how this relates to "disappointed with Royal Caribbean" though.
