  1. Even if you or a travel agent can get it booked, eventually the system will catch it. You will then have to either cancel the solo booking or cancel the Haven add on. Your plan is basically trying to add Haven access to the solo stateroom booking for the miniscule cost of guest #5 in the Haven. Either he will be a Haven guest (#5) or he will have his own space.
  2. He can probably swap the ex's name with a friend's.... A one-off, single name change is allowed from 89 days up to 15 days prior to sailing without penalty (with one original name remaining on the booking) All Name changes made within 14 days to sailing will incur cancellation penalties as per the cancellation schedule Name correction (e.g. spelling mistake) can be made anytime up to 48 hours prior sailing. ...but what amount he owes the ex (if any) will be worked out between the 2 of them, not with NCL.
  3. Epic is the most divisive ship in the NCL fleet....possibly the most divisive ship in the cruise industry. Some love it, some hate it. Rarely are people in the middle. The biggest issues tend to be the "bathroom" setup throughout most of the ship, the feeling of being "indoors" compared to other/newer NCL big ships that have The Waterfront, and the less than attractive appearance of the ship itself. Some people love the Haven on Epic more than the Haven on any other NCL ship. Some prefer POSH (only Epic has it) over VIBE (ships after Epic) for an adult-only exclusive area. The opinions of others won't really help if they like/dislike things differently than you.
  4. Officially? No, all adults must upgrade. Can it be done? Yes, if you're lucky. Mixed results from other forum members.
  5. An SDP meal in Food Republic, Pincho, Sushi and Wasabi includes 4 menu items.
  6. All 3 of your choices are covered.... IN WHICH VENUES WILL MY SPECIALTY DINING PACKAGE BE HONORED? Specialty Dining Packages are honored in the following specialty restaurants: American Diner, Cagney’s Steakhouse, Food Republic, Italian, Le Bistro, Los Lobos, Moderno Churrascaria, Ocean Blue and Bayamo by Ocean Blue, Pincho Tapas Bar, Q Texas Smokehouse, Raw Bar, Sushi and Teppanyaki. Dining options vary by ship.
  7. The 2SDP used to be $59 + 20% without any discount. Now, NCL can brag about a 33% discount. πŸ™„
  8. https://www.ncl.com/onboard-packages/dining-packages (UDP are the old letters from back when the UDP was actually unlimited) Add 20% to each price. 2SDP = $89 + 20% = $106.80 3SDP = $119 + 20% = $142.80 etc.
  9. On Seaside or Meraviglia, they will accommodate if the RS guest wants to be near smoking or non smoking. On Mera, they'll move you away from the smoking section (2 spaces, but still...). On Seaside, they'll put you on the side that you prefer.
  10. Cruise casual for all 3 meals. Shorts and t-shirt are fine but many wear long pants/collared shirt. You might have someone in a tuxedo on your left while someone is wearing jean shorts and a t-shirt on your right.
  11. I understand. Even when it WAS the rule, mask usage was less than 100%....more like 50% on my last MSC cruise. Seeing what's going on with Princess, I have no idea of how MSC will react...if they do at all.
  12. For ships departing from U.S. ports, fully vaccinated guests are recommended but not required to wear masks and maintain social distancing on board in public areas. Guests who are not fully vaccinated (over 2 and under 5 years old) are required to wear masks on board in indoor public areas.
  13. Interiors are basically the same except for bed location (the video isn't deck 14). 14282 and 14284 are bed near balcony while 14286 is bed near closet. 14286 has the narrowest aft-facing balcony on deck 14. For depth, deck 14 is in the middle between the deepest (deck 9) and the least deep (deck 13).
  14. Tell them to refund the port fees if you "did not sail". πŸ˜‰
  15. I could give a few lines from "A Fish Called Wanda"...πŸ˜ƒ
