I have been on many cruises (& airplanes) and have NEVER brought my prescription bottles. My pills are in those daily pill boxes (yes I'm old) and in my carry on.

My curiosity got the best of me. What difference does it make what the menus are? I always wondered why people need to know in advance. Unless you have some food allergies. I was on the 10 day to Alaska in May but couldn't tell you because I didn't eat in the MDR everyday.

They have a huge party on Lido and do the countdown.. They give out noisemakers, hats, free champagne, etc. It is also usually elegant night and most dress up. They also have a balloon drop in the atrium. This year will be our 6th NYE cruise. We have a blast! Enjoy!

They stopped this years ago. You can no longer email the maitre'd. You can request a table for 2 the first night you go to dinner.

Cruised out of SF in May to Alaska. It was a cluster****. We had to wait outside WITH our 3 bags of luggage and my walker for well over an hour until they finally completed debarkation (the ship came back late). When they finally allowed us inside there was still a wait. I believe we didn't board until after 1 (with a 10:30 check in time). However, some people have sailed after that and said it wasn't too bad. Enjoy your cruise.
