  1. Open your app and go to contact us and there is a place to leave the good and the bad. If you want to remain anonymous there should be a comment box for the hotel manager at the general services desk. The hotel manager is the chief executive of hotel and restaurant operations.
  2. As said it depends on the ship and the location. As an early riser many times I have simply walked up onto the first tender. Otherwise there will be a ticketing procedure announced. Priority passengers have first dibs - 4 and five stars and Neptune and Pinnacle. I have never been priority but get there early enough and you will ride in the same tender. I have never waited more than 45 minutes to be ashore.
  3. In one case it was a special fare price, in another I called about 2 weeks out and asked for their best price and on another I visited the website during the cyber sale and was shocked to see an outs offer which I quickly snapped up.
  4. Again, we need nesting. The OP did indeed bring up medical evacuations and there was an entire discussion on that topic. Nesting is needed
  5. And this was the original discussion. I guess we should petition CC to add nesting to discussions so the subtopics have cohesiveness
  6. And that goes back to the originally referenced discussion about doctor’s notes. Unfortunately Cruise Critic does not have nesting so the gist of conversation is easily lost as is the follow up
  7. It is exactly the same service, I have actually had Princess agents assist me with HAL flights. It drives me crazy too but the overall website experience is sorely lacking - you know us old people can’t operate a computer so why fix it😬
  8. Two prevalent reasons 1. Their agent was incentivized to put them on HAL or 2. It was a cheap cruise. Some people will ignore all the warning signs just to save $50. There is another thread now that the person states what they want (not HAL) but says it is cheap.
  9. I am afraid if you go you will be back with a never again thread. I like HAL and for my two travel companions, sis and DH, it is their only cruise line. If I were sailing in the Caribbean without them HAL would not be my choice.
  10. I have never paid the going rate for it and I wouldn’t either. The most I have paid is $30 a day as opposed to the $50 advertised price. At $30 it is barely worth it as I rarely drink alcoholic or sweetened beverages (mock tails). If in North America and Europe I have adequate internet in every port and certainly can wait until in port for said service. The meals and shore excursions are nice but I could just as well not have them. Actually I never tried a specialty restaurant until HiA and though it was nice it was not exceptional. If it is a deal offering the crew tips it becomes very enticing.
  11. Well, yeah but in both cases we missed a highly desirable port because we had to turn around to deliver them to safety. I have not sympathy
  12. As I stated earlier I had knowledge of their condition. Both were only one week before in hospital for open heart surgery then flew to Europe
  13. They used to give far more than an overview map. They used to display water depth, weather systems, currents and more. we truly miss that information presentation
  14. Yes, I was being a bit flip but churches house some of the best art worldwide. The fold in the Spanish churches is pretty incredible though as it was the bounty brought from the Incan empire , the silver from the Aztec empire.
  15. They are called ADC tours. Another D@@@ Church. I go because I like to look at gold and that is where all of the gold is!
  16. I wholeheartedly agree. I put that on every after cruise survey. Some of us like to know where we are and the details.
  17. Hijack alert does anyone have any comments on Volendam 3312. I had to use a guarantee and this is our assignment. I am concerned about noise from the theater. Any comments? Thank you
  18. Just guessing from my background being educated by very conservative Cuban Catholic nuns - you need closed toe shoes. The other option is to mill about outside while the tour proceeds into the church.
  19. I came across this page while researching, lots of good information https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/accessibility.html Not all ports have rental. Once with my mother I was able to find an excellent price on a light weight sports/large wheel wheelchair . The price was so good that upon completion of the cruise we donated the chair at the local church in the last port.
  20. The inside cabins on the r class are perfectly fine and I regret my DH pushing for the obstructed OV on our next cruise. I am sorely tempted to move back.
  21. On the other hand you could be denied admission. We simply do no know which site or sites have the requirement, bad boy antics may deliver a vicarious thrill in discussion but may not go well in reality
  22. In the past it was no problem but recent reports indicate a change of policy You may be disappointed
  23. Yes they will be cancelled. In the future you can sometimes have the flights transferred over to the new booking - if you get the right person on the phone.
  24. If you are riding around on a bus it should be simple enough to carry an extra pair of shoes to use at the designated location.
  25. I don’t think those $1 were refundable. I cancelled one and was told I would not get my $1 returned. Yes, even a dollar of non-refundable money excludes you from the insurance unless you bought it at time of deposit
