  1. I don’t see it any more on the onboard services. Glad I have ordered mine for all my cruises, so far. Wonder if it is an error or an update? Might have happened during their update last weekend. Strange to remove it first, before a price change. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
  2. It started in 2018, only on some ships. It was just called OceanMedallion and very simple. The App was just in the initial stages. Then, in 2019 they really enhanced the App and it was called MedallionClass App. It was then, that it was too quickly updated and started to get more difficult to use. Well, once we were back in 2021…..more and more enhancements, changes and seems as though pre testing was non existent. Many fixes have happened since 2021 after thousands of complaints, so that’s a good thing. Today, it is much better, but still a lot of bugs. Now called Princess App…you know the rest. These are just my experiences.
  3. I agree. But, I don’t know if they will ever change. They even took away the no smoking on formal nights. I could go there on formal night and wear a 😷 if it was no smoking. To separate it as half no smoking, is really a joke. This thread is not going to turn into a no smoking thread. But, I totally agree with you!

  5. Whatever fare you are quoted would cover the flights booked. It should show economy/premium economy booked. Does it show you are confirmed? Then just download your airline App and select your seats.
  6. Sorry for your frustration. The first issue is never try to link a booking, it will also want you to register if you don’t find a booking. You need your extra account deleted. This can be done by Princess. Make sure they keep the account that your TA and Princess show for your booking. If the TA and Princess combined your 1st and 2nd captain circle member ID then it should show your member number on the website under your account. You must know your login if you are logging in and can see “booked guests”and click on that. Look near the top of the page, click on “Account.” That will show your name and account number…jot that down. Now, if you have another loyalty number because you registered again, you can call Princess and tell them you want to keep only the one that they and the TA have. That number should be appended to your booking. Call Princess in the morning after 6 am PT when they open to get, hopefully a more experienced rep. They CAN correct this…as this is an error on their website asking you to reregister and link. Do not try to link.

  9. I thought they only do it on the ships with wine cellars? Royal class? We didn’t have it on the CB last year when we sailed her.
  10. It can be right up to an including the sail date. We’ve had friends who weretold by the luggage handlers when they needed to write the cabin number on their luggage tag. We did it once and it was 2 weeks before. We were not notified, just saw it on the summary suddenly appear.
  11. We will wait on this one. February is too cold for us to enjoy the sightseeing. We do love a new ship, but they usually have had crew, press, officers and officials whom have used the ship prior to the inaugural sailing. There are some learning curbs for new employees or seasoned employees on a new ship. Although, they will pick the best crew to lead these MDR’s and other venues. It looks beautiful, but certainly a different ship style for Princess. Will be interesting. A white medallion and a simple momento will probably be given.
  12. It’s been 5 years since the Medallion Class App (Now Princess App) was introduced to Princess cruisers. When will it be user friendly with less errors caused by IT updates? We are now 187 pages, just on Part 3 of Ocean Medallion Help thread on Cruise Critic. Trying to help others to navigate the App. So much frustration for many guests. Love the concept, but it was too quickly implemented before basic testing. Simplify the App.
  13. I would like to know, for the health of guests and crew, why not have no smoking casinos or at least no smoking nights during a cruise?

  15. I had a booking and it was repriced also recently also. It did not cancel my OM order. So, still have free shipping. Unless they have made a change on the App, you CAN still…get in the green lane IF you order the OM, shipping or port pickup. This could affect… cruises out of ALL ports except the US if they didn’t turn into a green lane. After this last update, there are more errors on the App relating to the OM and DMW. I’ve been trying to find out the exact changes and errors to report, but many do not return to advise us. This is a small charge for guests, but annoying. I hope this doesn’t slow down the check in process. It could, for those ports that have one line for everyone.
  16. I always thought Elites and Platinums could book dining after booking with a deposit. Others after final payment. Someone correct me, if I’m wrong. Is your sea witch silver/gray on your photo? Did you try booking DMW on the website version of the App? Are you trying DMW main dining or specialty dining? I’m beginning to believe the updates last weekend may have caused DMW errors on the App. How far out is your cruise?
  17. I would go early. Go the first night and speak to the DR Mgr/Maitre’d, go early 5pm and ask them to put a reservation in for you and your family at whatever time you prefer. Tell them to book you for the whole cruise, then you don’t have to wait every night. If you eat early, 5-530 is usually not crowded. Just the first night is busy. It does get busy 6 and after.
  18. They don’t have them out of the US either. In fact, the only ones I’ve heard of are out of the UK. I always thought it was due to demand out of the UK. Maybe they are more careful than those of us in the rest of the world? IDK Great question.
  19. When you tried to book, did you use the time’s scrolling to see each individual day at a time? You might see an earlier time trying each day at s time.
  20. You should be able to book it. Did you try on the website version of the App? Does the downloaded App show your Elite status? Click on your photo lower right corner, is the sea-witch black?
