  1. There's a door and passage to the concierge lobby and over to grill area right across from 16021.
  2. The port area where the ships dock is closed to pedestrian and most private traffic. They operate a port bus system that takes you to a transfer station just outside the port area, this can be time consuming. Google map Civitavechia Tranport Terminal. That's where some transfer companies will want to meet you. It's also where you can catch public transport. Fiumicino is about a 50 minute drive from the port. While I believe the MSC transfers to Fiumicino are allowed to be ship side I'd be concerned they might not guarantee to get you there for a 12:40 flight time. Doing the early self disembark combined with a private transfer company that has port entry permission is the only way I'd feel comfortable with that flight time. There are several shared transfer companies that do offer ship side pickup. Usually they require pre-booking but some will likely offer free spaces first come. They leave only once full with their booked people. So you would want to verify their ability to meet your time requirement. ETA: Verify your airline's closing time for checked luggage if you plan to use it.
  3. I've been able to make that time for a flight. But I didn't trust the MSC shuttle nor try public or shared transport. I hired a private transfer that was allowed into the port terminal area and waiting shipside. Waiting on the port busses to get you over to the port transfer area takes too much time. Lots of information on the Italian ports forum. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/464-italy-ports/
  4. MSC or your travel agent should email your Boarding Documents. Luggage tags and a health form to sign are included.
  5. I've been told both yes and no. It's easy enough to make the reservation so I do.
  6. This thread has information. Page three has several menus showing the dining experience inclusions. https://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/topic/2955510-view-from-steerage-msc-euribia-13-20-august/
  7. Because they are trying to indicate that you are getting both the basic Voyagers Club 5% discount plus the early booking 5% discount. It actually comes out to a little less than 10% off the cruise fare (not off the taxes). This got started because MSC used to offer Voyagers Club members varying discount percentages not based on when you booked. Some sailings only got the base Voyagers 5%, some sailings were called Voyagers Selection and got the additional 5% - thus the 5+5%. They also had some sailings that were 5+10% and 5+15% but those are gone for now. The old Voyagers Club gave Black status, now called Diamond, 20% off most any cruises.
  8. Technically the Voyagers late disembark allows you remain in the cabin for one hour past the vacate time posted. However in Yacht Club this will be discouraged due to the short turnaround time of Yacht Club cabins. The new batch of YC passengers are eagerly waiting to board first and want their cabins ready ASAP.
  9. Many of the Voyagers Diamond perks are already covered by Yacht Club perks. The one specialty dining you mentioned is extra, meaning not covered with if booking Yacht Club as a lower level. Additionally you will get a bottle of psossecco, some chocolate bars, a gift such as a hat or small satchel, a dance class and invitation to the Voyagers gatherings, a free photo, various discounts around the ship, etc.... The full list is easily found. https://www.msccruisesusa.com/manage-booking/msc-voyagers-club/members-benefits
  10. No more than on any other MSC ships. Meraviglia class all have doors from the YC area to the main elevator lobby on deck 14 that are frequently left open because there's a lot of staff/officers going to the bridge areas. On all the ships there is a simple way to bypass those glass YC sliding doors and lots of people seem to know how. You just have to trust the YC staff will weed them out. But I do feel this will be harder on these ships with very large numbers of YC passengers.
  11. Not if you have to pay for them. Butcher's Cut has decent steaks but lacks ambiance, Yacht Club restaurant will have options of equal quality. Galaxy Sushi has medium to low quality seafood but has a nice view/atmosphere. Nicer view and better bar service in Top Sail longe.
  12. Your description of the food was helpful, seems similar to the food on the other ships. Did you like the overall restaurant atmosphere better than the ones on MV and SS ships? Was it ever busy?
  13. OBC is given in the currency that the ship is using. Example: 50 Eur/Usd or 40 Gbp for Voyagers Club when booking at least nine months out.
  14. Because it's a remnant from early Covid-19 and really has little purpose now. Most people will start their own review thread or post it in the reviews section of Cruise Critic.
  15. Are you going to try the Oriental Palace restaurant? Interested as to differences between Galaxy/Kaito Sushi on other ships.
  16. Do you know the hours of the Asian Night Market? Since I see prices on that one coffee drink menu I assume those are not included with the basic fare. But it's nice they include sodas. What's your opinion of the free coffee, tea and fruit drinks?
  17. * MSC was the first to restart cruises in August, 2020 in the Med. Celebrity restarted in June, 2021 by subverting US rules and sailing from St. Maarten. But I am surprised MSC didn't think about it to capture the anxious US market.
  18. It's typically not offered on South American and South African round trips. Sometimes when a Med or Northern European sailing is first listed MSC won't have it offered but a few months later it will be. I'm surprised it's usually offered on the Mideast sailings.
  19. 819 out of the 990 sailings currently listed on the US website offer Drinks and Wifi promotion. So it can happen that you must book Cruise Only.
  20. You might get more information if you also post this question in the France forum. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/462-france-ports/
  21. Your cruise is the end part of Orchestra's normal 10 day itinerary, which has embarkation in six or so ports. So only a portion of cabins are ever available from any location. It's not uncommon for MSC to not be offering (or run out of) the lower cabins. Similarly they also often only allocate Yacht Club cabins to certain embarkation ports in those newer class ships. The last 10 day embarks in Marseille on November 1st. There's a few lower cabins and plenty of balconies left, it's fairly well booked but obviously has cabins available that aren't being offered for your shorter sailing. An additional complication is that when you get off November 10th it will be the beginning of the three embarkation ports for the Transatlantic.
  22. Beat me to it. They will also show for two passengers as sail date approaches and there are less cabins on the lower decks.
  23. MSC just denotes "In Transit" in case the itinerary has people disembarking at that port. Some itineraries have both types of passengers. Since you are continuing on with the cruise you are fine booking that excursion.
  24. Interesting, the Falmouth and Georgetown excursions are the same price as brochure prices. The Cozumel ones are more expensive than in the brochure, at $879 and $1052 respectively. YC Ocean Cay cabanas on the brochure are also a little less, at $422 and $475 respectively. So it seems in some cases the pre-purchase price is less than the on board prices. A lot in the case of that El Presidente Villa. SC20240824MIAMIA.pdf
  25. Then you should have the choice to book the Drinks &WiFi Incuded rate. Or you can take your chances and book the Cruise Only rate and hope they offer the drink package discount through an email or online in their website booking planner under add Drink Packages. See the Cruise Critic thread I linked to in post #6.
