  1. Is Royal offering luggage assist anymore? If yes, that would be good to purchase then you could wander around Miami and maybe get some lunch before heading to the airport.
  2. You may find the story of how the Bayonne Golf course was made. https://www.bayonnegolfclub.com/About_Us
  3. Yup, casino does not open until ship is truly out at sea. We've been on sailings out of Baltimore when it opens anywhere between 10 or 11 pm. If you weren't out at sea until well after midnight then they keep it closed until the next morning. Always a Bummer for us as we miss the casino on night 1 and our free Prime drinks.
  4. IMO, Doesn't look like bed bug bites either. They are usually small red bumps in a zig zag pattern. Please get him to a medical / urgent care to get checked out. The internet and social media isn't always our friend. He may need antibiotic, sooner the better. The poor guy, I'm sure he would like some relief. I hope it's nothing and he feels better soon. I'm itching just looking at these pictures.
  5. I have never seen swelling, redness and itching from food poisoning. But whatever it is I would get him to an urgent care as soon as you disembark. If he was holding a sloth or just near them it could be a tick bite or a mosquito carrying a virus. Not to scare you but West Nile and Dengue are in that area and would cause fever and vomiting as well as the other symptoms of redness, itchiness, etc. he is showing.
  6. Yes, you should be fine. I haven't seen boarding times enforced for majority of cruise terminals. Where is Port Orange?
  7. Ok, I have to ask...why is the one worker wearing a towel over his head?
  8. Formal night is no longer as formal as it was. You will see less than 50% dressed up in tux, gowns, suits and nice dresses. We do like to dress up, sometimes, not every cruise. When we don't bring tux or dress, we wear smart casual or business casual.
  9. Serenade or Voyager are not spring breaker kinda ships. Yes, there are bars and a night club and will have some activities for young adults, but no where near as much as Oasis class will offer Or maybe Icon if they find reasonable prices.
  10. We love doing the specialty lunches. A lot of the same menu items usually at half the price of dinner. I say Go For It!
  11. My Boss invited us to join them for Thanksgiving at their home in Cape Coral. Thinking of flying down from PHL to RSW the evening of Tuesday, 11/26 and stay there until late afternoon of Sunday 12/01 so we have time to get out their boat 46 ft catamaran and maybe go to gasparillo island. Chris and Donna plan on going to Donna's Mom's house this year for thanksgiving and will do Christmas at my Brother's house. I think my Brother and his family could survive one year without me cooking. So no problem if we decide to take off this year. My concern is flying this week is traditional chaotic from everything I have seen on the news in past years. My question is....is it best to book now or wait a bit? I suspect holiday flights will increase not decline but we usually don't fly during Thanksgiving week to know for sure.
  12. Bermuda has a great bus and ferry system. We usually buy the 1 or 2 day pass at the welcome center that is located at the cruise pier. Sometimes we take the ferry to St. George and go to the beach that end of the island then take the bus back to Hamilton and hop on the ferry back to the cruise dock. Great way to see the island. One trip the bartender at Hog's Penny (great bar in Hamilton) told us to take bus # (don't remember) and get off at a certain stop and we would find a beautiful beach that locals go to. We did as we thought we were told to do and had a short walk down a cliff (via some steps from a house that was no longer there) and had the beach all to ourselves for several hours. It was amazing. We went back that night to see the bartender and thank him. He asked where the hell were we that wasn't where he told us to go----😁 A bus trip to the lighthouse is nice. Great view if you are up to walking to the top.
  13. Pre-scheduling w/Uber always jacks up the price as there is an extra fee (varies from $15 to $35) to reserve. Once I realized this I stopped pre-booking. I think Lyft does this too.
  14. You definitely want a ride to port. Like most ports it is very industrialized and unwalkable roads. We are about 2 to 2.5 hr ride to Baltimore. When time permits we love staying inner harbor area for a pre or post cruise trip. Love love sitting down at place with brown paper on tables and crabs dumped on the table with pitcher of beer and Oysters too!!
  15. I'll be living vicariously through your review. We love Bermuda and still sad we had to cancel our Sept 19th sailing due to a work conflict. Does this Mariott offer shuttle to the cruise port?
  16. Always love your reviews! Cannot wait to see how many wristbands Owen's ends up with. Maybe you will get lucky with another private concert in your cabin for your anniversary celebrations 😊
  17. Glad to see they are coming back with these offers. I figured they were gone forever.
  18. It looks like their finish has been scrubbed off. Not very inviting. They definitely need repair asap!
  19. You would be best to wait until 1 pm or so to get to your cabin. Wheelchairs and scooters won't be easy to maneuver with carts, vacuums, and laundry bags in the hallways.
  20. We can drive to Bayonne and be there in about 1.5 hrs usually. It would take us 1 hr to get to Philly to get on amtrak...then car service or parking fees...plus additional hassles of dealing with luggage. So much easier to load luggage in car, drive and park..then repeat to get home.
  21. I have sailed on HAL a couple times out of Manhattan definitely prefer Bayonne. Easier drive for us, easier and cheaper parking helps too.
  22. Happy Anniversary! Perfect reason for new shoes and handbag😀 I look forward to your review and your thoughts on their cabins.
