As ex aircrew of 16 years, once you have weather related problems, or an aircraft goes tech, you have crew going out of hours and have to go to the on-call staff who are normally at home, so takes them a while to get to the airport. Happy days!
I haven't eaten at 6 since I was 6! Much prefer the later one. If dinner is at 6.15, you would have to have your pre-dinner drink at 5. I'm only just back from the deck and pool by then!
Yes, just realized I've got £520 OBC on my 16 night cruise, so if I want wifi for one day I can do that. Can't justify £135 for wifi. I can just use my phone ashore.
So I've just logged in to my 16 night cruise for October 2024. I can get the basic wifi package for £9.40 a day, down from £11.75. Are you saying that I would get 10% loyalty discount off as well? Oops, yes you are, because I just clicked on to the next page.
Well if my experience of being a Flight attendant is anything to go by. Drinks round first, followed by lunch and I would guess afternoon tea into Barbados.
Yes you hand over your card, nothing to sign. We could see each days spend on the My Holiday app including the venue. Just to add that sometimes it didn't appear until late or the following day. I guess when they upload it from their tablets.
Yes, my guess is you have worked it out. On our 19 night recent cruise on Aurora, our bill was £460. We don't do ship excursions and I think I had one coffee. The package would have cost double or more. The nice thing on Aurora is that in the MDR they will hold your wine until the next night if you have any left over. Not on Freedom though.
I think that's why the package doesn't work for us. We don't do soft drinks or coffees. Just drinks in the bar and bottle of wine with dinner. Package would be double or even more. Having seen the price of soft drinks, I can see why it would work for some.
Interesting to hear about the TVs. We thought it was our eyes on Aurora!!! We also preferred no evening turndown. Much better.
Strange about the aircon, most people complain it's too cold.
Interesting what you say about Ventura and Azura. Only sailed once on Azura and we had a Force 9 in the Med and it was just awful. I would rather be on Aurora any day and even she didn't take kindly to Force 10 and high seas!
I agree too. People are over the top about germs. In this case, as you say, hardly likely to pass on any infection and not a cough or cold, more likely noro.
