  1. Yes, I have seen it in the link provided. Not yet time to celebrate: Some quotes from the link: "CDC said it will continue to provide testing recommendations for cruise ship operators to follow, and cruise ships will continue to report COVID-19 cases to the agency." "Cruise operators contacted by Seatrade Cruise News generally referred to the CLIA statement and said they're reviewing the news. 'We haven't made any decision if we're going to change anything — if we make any changes at all,' one company's spokesperson said." On the other hand, it does say: "the agency's color-coded status for cruise ships is going away, and that web page is being retired." Which means there will no longer be transparency as to which ships have a significant number of Covid cases.
  2. Agree. Just ask for each to be able to access both cabins. No need to mention who will be sleeping where.
  3. I thought Princess waiting times while on hold would be the ultimate in poor customer service, but Monday I found a company (not a cruise line) that has even worse treatment. When I called to speak with a rep to order a part, the recording essentially said: Due to a high number of calls than usual, there is a long wait time to speak with someone. Please pick from the following two options. (a) Press 1 to schedule a callback (b) Press 2 to hang up So I pressed 1 and the recording then said I could schedule a call back in the afternoon Friday, four days from when I was calling. I was offered 1:45 PM (but it did not say if that was for my time zone or the company's. If 1:45 PM was not acceptable, then I could choose 2:45 PM. Love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Most FCCs that were issued due to the pandemic were a combination of funds paid and bonus FCCs. The FCCs from funds actually paid should be refundable if you have any of that kind, so at least you would be getting actual money paid back. Bonus FCCs would not be refundable if not used, but they do not represent out-of-pocket spending.
  5. And therein is the difference with Princess. A number of posts from different Princess cruises have said that when masks were mandatory, the crew would not ask non-conforming passengers to mask up.
  6. Actually, the published Princess policy is to allow non-elite passengers to check-in with the elite passengers using the elite line. (Alhough as you point out, other lines for check-in may have less of a wait.) The question posed by the OP is: After check-in, can the non-elite passengers wait in the elite waiting area until boarding starts?
  7. In a perfect world, those who had a confirmed 5 PM ATD reservation would be notified before the cruise that their reservation has been changed and why. They should not have to learn about it when they go to the dining room at 5 PM the first evening only to find it closed.
  8. The people in the terminal doing check-in and directing people to various pre-board waiting areas are port employees, not Princess employees. If they allow those not with status to go to waiting areas requiring status, they are not properly following what Princess intended. The Elite waiting area is also shared by those in full suites and a number of times in our experience that area has been full and even Elite and suite passengers who were entitled to be there were turned away as there was no room for them. Allowing those who are not Elite or full suite passengers to go there means even more passengers who had earned that privilege would be turned away. The only exceptions I have seen purposely made is when the passengers without status were young children of the Elite/suite passengers or when the passenger without status is in the same cabin as the person with the status.
  9. Agree unlimited is better, but on an upcoming 33 day cruise it would have been worth the effort to sign on and off as needed. With the old benefit's free minutes on that cruise (2 segments), we would have received a combined 1000 minutes of free Internet, more than enough for the Internet time we would use. But at $5/day/person with the new benefit, it will cost us $330, a significant amount of $$$ compared to free. And at the latitudes the ship will be sailing, it will definitely not be high speed Internet.
  10. Between the coupon book now being virtual and staff not knowing about the coupons at alll, I suspect very few coupons get redeemed. And with the coupon book being virtual, the best feature of the printed coupon book is no longer available. The printed book could be used to easily prop the cabin door slightly open to greatly improve the WIFI signal inside the cabin.
  11. I am not on your cruise, but posts from people on other Princess ships have been near unanimous with praise for the crew.
  12. Full suite passengers can eat breakfast in Sabatini's (or another specialty restaurant if Sabatini's does not exist on a ship). There is no additional cost for this. It is a much better breakfast experience than having breakfast in a main dining room or the buffet. I am surprised there was no notice of the full suite benefit in your suite on embarkation day.
  13. The Pizzas from Slice, Gigi's/Alfredo's and room service are made in three different places and do not taste the same.
  14. Are Celebrity speeds different for the basic and premium or do they just restrict the basic from accessing sites which use a lot of bandwidth?
  15. Two Elites in a cabin still only get one mini-bar setup. If in a full suite, then a second one.
  16. This still does not say what "dining migrated to Ocean" means. Even if this is default wording, what is it supposed to mean?
  17. How old is this notice? Certainly it can't be very recent giving a very short notice of the cancellations, no bonus FCC and requiring any FCC to be applied this year. Very poor xfer option that does not protect EZAir fares. At least it does point out that any FCCs will be applied automatically to the next new cruise booked.
  18. Have you seen them since the restart after the pandemic shutdown?
  19. The impression does not have to be a positive one. One can certainly dress in a way to leave a negative impression
  20. The wine costs Princess less than normal wholesale since Princess pays no state or Federal taxes on the wine it buys.
  21. The 15 limit is for alcohol beverages only, so the 2 coffees and 1 water do not count towards that limit.
  22. Yes for the option in red.
  23. Not sure what they are referring to, but note the following: When checking in for the cruise, there will usually be a line for those with Elite status (those with 150 days or 15 cruises on Princess) and full suites. Once checked in, if boarding has started, you may go directly to the ship. If boarding has not yet started you will go to a waiting area which is dedicated to full suite and Elite passengers. That group will be the first general passengers to board when boarding starts. There have been posts that for some ships/ports full suite passengers are personally escorted onto the ship and to their cabin. I have no idea if this would apply to your ship or embarkation port.
