  1. With due respect would not agree. RCL already reported earnings on February 7 and beat analyst expectations with lower loss than expected and beat street estimates by $0.25 per share.
  2. It may be easiest for you to log into your reservation (phone is easiest) and select the same CheckIn time for each of you. You can complete the remainder at your convenience. You will have access to all persons on your reservation - just scroll down. I live on the West Coast so usually check in at 9:00 PM Pacific. Normally the earliest slots remain available for a couple days but noticed for our Apex TransAtlantic that all the 11:00 shots were gone by the next morning. Plenty of 11:30 were still available.
  3. About 15 years ago we booked with Celebrity Hotels in Vancouver. As others said we figured out later that the price was per person and things were so screwed up at the port that we eventually just walked across the street to the hotel and our luggage eventually arrived 5 hours later. Never again. Really felt ripped off.
  4. LOL.... I hate spell check. OK no Veterinarians either. I do have to say I love the Prime Rib and would normally order it over the Filet in Lumina. When you are on a longer set of cruises we do have a tendency to mix things up when on a M or S Class ship.
  5. We were earlier talking about Silicon Valley Bank. They had a run on the bank with $42 Billion being withdrawn as of last night. FDIC Regulators took over control and will be liquidating all holdings. It is the Second Largest Bank failure in history.
  6. With the use of synthetic "cork" and screw top bottles, even for premium wines, one wonder if the traditional storage method will evolve. You may also be think of the process of decanting a nice bottle of Red wine. How to Properly Decant Your Wines Start by sitting your bottle upright for at least 24 hours before decanting, especially if you store your wines horizontally. ... Open the bottle. Slowly tilt the bottle toward the decanter. ... Pour the wine into the decanter slowly but steadily.
  7. Enjoying your post. I chuckled at your stop at 5 Guys - I LOVE them. Thanks for posting all the great photos and the food pictures.
  8. Have to mirror others. I felt very safe in Mazatlan never had any sense of unrest. I suggest wouldn't renting a car and driving to Culiacán (about 130 miles away) which is where the Cartel activity is based. I think many of us know areas within 150 miles of our home that might be dangerous.
  9. There are many types of traders and I was mostly a Volatility trader. While I did trade on the VIX I mostly traded leveraged Put and Call ETF e.g. SDOW and UDOW. Crazy and not for the faint of heart. I couldn't leave my computer for 1 minute when in the market and was often in and out of a trade 8 or 9 times a day. I finally retired totally from the day to day market and keep my money at Betterment. They have a great product and you can adjust your risk tolerance on a daily basis. I usually am comfortable at a particular risk tolerance but sometime when the market tanks or skyrockets I change my tolerance and then switch again when the market corrects. It is so nice not to play the market any longer. Funny thing is I'm not a Casino Gambler - I'm just not knowledgeable enough to even think I could make money
  10. I was just reading the details on SVB this morning. Living in Silicon Valley they are heavily in the news. Seems the rate hikes has pushed many Institutional Companies to pull funds to cover their increased costs and forced SVB to sell bond and a 1.8 Billion loss to cover their margin requirements. Their stock dropped a whopping 60%.
  11. Really enjoyed the video. We have friends from Sydney that did the Kimberly's last year and loved it. Photos were fantastic. Their reviews are the reason we are trying Ponant for the first time to see if it's a fit for us.
  12. I just checked our April 15 on Apex and all they are currently MDR is showing is Veterinarian and Children's Menu Only. They do have Spaghetti on the Kid's Menu. Interesting as Luminae and Blu are showing menus for the entire cruise.
  13. Normally I either win a bid or am notified at 48 hours pre cruise. Last year I got rejected for a CS to RS upgrade but the night before the cruise I got a call from Shoreside Concierge and they had given us a complimentary upgrade. The passenger in the RS had tested positive. We had to use original documents an handwritten luggage tag as the manifest was locked and already submitted to homeland security. Another cruise we bid on a RS and did not win the bid. I inquired on board as it was sill available at 47 hours prior to cruise. The got back to me and wanted $1,800 pp which was twice the maximum bid and more than I could have upgraded paying full price. I declined and they sailed with the cabin empty. I was told that the decision and pricing was controlled by the Revenue Manager.
  14. Loving all the pictures. Since we will shortly be taking our first Ponant cruise especially enjoying the menus and the mouth watering pictures of the actual dinner. You have me drooling.
  15. I've booked a return more than a month after the end of the cruise and had no problem. I didn't ask. I just went in and put in the dates I wanted and it accepted it.

    Blu

Personal experience and many post have been made on this subject. On Edge Class Ships - those in Blu and Luminae are not permitted to order from the Main Dining Room Menu. Main reason is that unlike M and S class ships they DO NOT SHARE the same kitchen as the Main Dining Rooms. Both Blu and Luminae do however have the same anytime menu with a Steak, Chicken and Salmon on it as well as things like Escargot and Shrimp Cocktails These can be ordered at an Restaurant. There is also a Children's Menu that is available in all dining rooms.
  17. Prior to Covid the Retreat Manager would be ashore and if saw a retreat guest would escort them around the crowd and to the front of the line. Haven't seen this since Covid. To depart on Tender you go to Retreat (unless on an Excursion) and when a tender is available the get a call and escort those that want to go ashore to the front of the line.
  18. Interesting - I went back and looked and the one I posted I received on March 1 after checking in for the Key West Belize Cruise - the one prior to the TA. The e-mail subject was Your health and safety checklist to be ready for your cruise. I received the same email as @Arizona Wildcatreceived with a subject: Prepare for your Boarding Day. This has a link to Health at Sea. (This does not link to the TA Requirements) I received this within minutes of completing Check-In I just completed the on-Line checkin for the TA and received the first one when complete but have not yet received the Prepare for boarding one for the TA yet. It does have a link I went back and looked and the one I posted I received on March 1 after checking in for the Key West Belize Cruise - the one prior to the TA.
  19. Personally I find that it is useless to speculate on why a particular segment or stock drops when the whole market is down. Today's Total Stock Market dropped shortly today while the market digested the weekly jobless-claims data and awaiting tomorrows monthly labor-market report. Fed has been signaling a larger and longer interest rate increase which helped slam the Bank Stocks today as well as companies that hold large debt. When I was a day trader - I loved days like today. Lots of opportunity to play off the fears when fundamentals haven't significantly changed.
  20. My notification for Apex is pretty much the same as @Ex-Airbalancer. Don't see anything that is incorrect. Since I'm on a B2B was happy that they clarified process for B2Bs PRE-ARRIVAL/EMBARKATION COVID-19 TEST All guests 2 and older must present a digital or physical copy of a negative COVID-19 test result at check-in to board their sailing. Guests must present a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 2 days prior to sailing and no more than 2 days before their sailing. Accepted tests are PCR or antigen tests taken in person, supervised virtually, or unsupervised self-administered. Proof of a negative test can be the printed or digital results, a clear photo of your self-test result, or your actual self-test in hand. Guests on back-to-back sailings will be required to take part in a complimentary COVID test in port, prior to reboarding the Transatlantic leg of their journey. Guests who have recently recovered from COVID-19 may present a Certificate of Recovery and proof of the positive PCR or Antigen test result taken between 11 and less than 90 days prior to the sail date in order to board and be exempt from testing. The Certificate of Recovery can be presented as an NHS COVID Pass, EU Certificate of Recovery or as a letter from a healthcare provider. In addition, you must still present a vaccination card. Please be aware that some ports of call do not accept a Certificate of Recovery for the purposes of debarking and enjoying the destination. We will not accept a Certificate of Recovery in place of a vaccination record.
  21. The 48 hours corresponds with when the ship is required to submit the manifest to Homeland Security. After that the ships manifest is locked down. I did get a call once the night before the cruise to advise we were being upgraded to RS (Gratis) as the manifest was locked. We had to check in using our original boarding pass and had to write new room number on luggage tag. I had it confirmed the person had tested positive for Covid. Of course it set of a chain of Gratis Upgrades for each room upgraded. If they do not do this they often offer paid upgrades once aboard the ship usually on the 2nd day. This is used for true no-show and depending on the rules allowing down-line embarkation.
  22. Was your Mexican Riviera experience recent. When we took a B2B in December we switched our time 3 times on each cruise. It was a pain as it was usually just for 1 day. The cruise we were on didn't stop in Ensanada but was Cabo, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan which may be the reason.
  23. For Bookings after March 4, 2023 - NRD - Yes you can change for $100 pp Please see https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/General_Info/CEL_2_23_23_FLY_Non-Refundable_FAQs_Trade.pdf 8.
