  1. My understanding is yes it has to be an Apple Device. As another reader indicated they have a similar device that use android devices called Tile Mate. The devices do not give you any indication that your phone is passing on a digital location and it is not tied to your phone. If someone is trying to track you by putting one on you or your car after a short while of the same device being detected you will be notified that someone may be tracking you so you can search for it.
  2. The do have a Beyond Burger on the everyday menu. On the last night I ordered one in addition to my main course as I've never tried one before. It only took me one bite to know they weren't' to my taste. I hate beets and they use them to give the juicy taste.
  3. I tested Positive on March 30th so had the good coverage. The positive side was that we already had flight reservations to Scotland to visit Iain's Family at the end of the cancelled cruise. UK had dropped all Covid Protocols so no quarantine was mandated but we quarantined for 5 days and took day trips to places where we were not in contact with people. Celebrity did cover our AirBnB, Car and Food for 5 days. I tested positive on the B2B testing (after doing my own and passed the night before). Iain tested positive the next day. We both continued to test positive for 11 days and got COR to return to the U.S. Our Suites Manager was a nice guy but didn't have a clue - He was new with no ship experience his only experience was he ran a restaurant . Luckily one of the Retreat Concierges was a godsend and came to our rescue. We are still in contact. In the questionnaire I recommend they promote her.
  4. You can have as much or as little as you want. We often have an appetizer and then a different appetizer as a main course. They always want to supersize the one for dinner. If you choose you can also have multiple entrees or deserts also.
  5. No one would care. They have agents in Kevlar suits with respirators escort you off spraying a disinfectant behind you as you walk. Personal Experience - They then just dumped me in the terminal full of people.
  6. Thanks for your kind remarks --- Some people just enjoy being negative and snarky and are just best ignored. They then burn themselves out with no one reading their remarks.
  7. If looking prior to sailing - Go to your reservation and choose Plan My Cruise - Top Right corner you will see a shopping Cart at to the left of that you will see how much OBC is open. On the left of that is Order History where you can see what you have booked and cancel if desired.
  8. You will love it. The B2B is really simple and relaxed. You will have a B2B meeting a couple days before turn around time and they will give full details. They will also answer all the questions that are thrown at them. If moving to a new room all you have to do is toss all the things in your drawers into a suitease and leave everything hanging. When your new room has been vacated your stateroom attendant will coordinate with you so you can move your items from the safe and anything you want to move yourself. Your room attendant will move your suitcases and hanging items to you new room. You have two options - You can either leave the ship prior to 9:30 and use a Transit Pass to return to the ship after spending the day ashore or you can be processed on board around 9:30 and have the ship to yourself for a couple hours.
  9. I'm sure it's tough moving down to an Ocean View Room. Our biggest problem was getting food. Being the last night of the cruise no one was answering the Guest Relations Phones, Room Service etc. We ordered at 6:00 and when I blew up finally got our dinner at 9:30. The Retreat Manager was a total waste of space. He was new to Celebrity and had never worked on a cruise ship. e-mail me and I will give you the contact information of the agent I worked with (in my signature). He was pretty good of responding within a day to emails. Calling only resulted in hour plus waits and then the person wasn't in. Unfortunately we also missed the Norwegian Fjords something I was really looking forward to.
  10. Thanks. I will check. My excursion is cancellable and was hoping they put on a B2B excursion which makes it easier.
  11. You are probably correct on what you smell but Chloamines is Chlorine bound to Nitrogen molecule derrived from urine, sweat, sun tan oils and cosmetics. Sure makes me want to hop it. My experience is their pools are not properly balanced. I went in the AquaSpa pool once and 30 minutes later my new Kelly Green Swimsuit turned beige but had nice green threads.
  12. They will give you a letter explaining it. When you get home call in to make sure they have started the process. My experience will be different as I tested positive prior to April 1 so they covered isolation, food car etc in addition to the pro-ration of days in quarantine and the full cancellation of the next cruise. They refunded it to a credit card of my choice. I just got the last part of it this weekend so took about 2 months. The refund / reimbursement for the days in isolation came through in about 1 month the cancelled cruise is what took longer. They initially screwed up and only refunded about 70% but said it was an administrative error.
  13. Like others said there are two Al Bacio's - The one at Ocean View you probably wouldn't even notice unless you look up and read the sign. When you first walk in there is a bar were they are serving Juices and drinks. They also make all the Al Bacio drinks there. Often our suite is on a higher floor and more convenient to grab my coffee there. Only coffee -- no pastries By the way recently on Silhouette they opened up a 3rd spots in the morning. The area where they sell Gellato also has a Coffee Machine and they used it for express service for coffee's only - no pastries
  14. You can contact the Shoreside Concierge who should be able to setup for you. One caution, when I was on Silhouette my request for the first night was denied because it was sold out online per-cruise. Once onboard i stopped by Murano and talked to the Manger... he groveled and said of course I can fit you in. Being on a B2B I tried to book the first night again of the second cruise and he told me they don't release the reservation system to him until the day before the cruise and he would work on getting it. I have to say that it may just be the Silhouette being screwed up. If a specific date is important to you I would book it now and pay for it and then when they can confirm it for you have them cancel and refund.
  15. Yes... Just search. I got mine on a Black Friday Sale.
  16. For comfort I would ask your agent for a copy of your invoice from Celebrity with the drink package showing.
  17. You pretty much have it down. All passengers must be present for Checkin. Initially you are suppose to show up for checkin according to your checkin time. Civitavecchi terminal is like a big tent but have never seen a line out front. Possibly due to distance from Rome passengers arrive gradually instead of all at once. Initially an agent will make sure you have your Vac Certificate, Test Results, Passports etc. You then enter the terminal and go through security. After through security there will be lanes setup for either CC Level or Room Level. Once at the counter the agent will confirm your sea pass and scan them (these will be used for boarding). They will then check all the Vac Certificates, Test Results, Pasports etc and either accept your picture or shoot a new picture. They usually also go over the health questionnaire again. The final step is taking a scan of your credit card. Once finished you are invited to either wait until called or board the ship (usually just board the ship). After boarding you can go to your room and your Key Card will be in the mail slot. Finally you will have to do your safety drill either on the TV or Phone and check in with your muster station.
  18. Sorry to hear of your testing positive. We were lucky to stay in our RS but we only tested the day before the end of the cruise on B2B testing and all the isolation cabins were full. Even that one really feels trapped when you can't leave your room. Hope you recover quickly. Hope your symptoms are mild and stay that way.
  19. Shhhhh..... they will revise the policy. LOL It is an interesting quirk we found out on one of our first B2B's. We've never tried buying something ashore.
  20. Ahh... didn't realize you were from Australia as you don't have your home Country listed. I guess we don't realize how good we have it in the U.S. We often travel with friends from Australia and they point out some of the differences. I did tell them once that the RS had dropped below what they paid for a CS. There agent went and fought for them and got them moved to a RS at the same price. Unfortunately Covid hit and they didn't get to try the RS.
  21. Yes --- Here's the Chart - Need to make a retraction- Free Coffee is for Elite Plus and above. I always though it included Elite. You will have access to the Elite and above continental breakfast and there you will get free cappuccino late's etc as well as smoothies. You will also get 1 bag of free laundry and 1 free dry clean item per Elite Guest. Also a free scoop of Gelato Full benefits of each tier can be found here - https://www.celebritycruises.com/content/dam/celebrity/new-images/Captain's Club Benefit Brochure_072821.pdf Summary -
  22. I checked on it calling the FAA and was told that the battery size exempt them from battery regulation and that Blue Tooth had such a short range it was no problem. Airplane mode on phones does not turn off blue tooth. The Point Guy had a good article on them recently It is important to note that having an AirTag in a checked bag doesn't violate any FAA regulations. I recently traveled from New York with two checked bags: my ski bag with my actual skis and poles (and some clothing) and a second bag of ski gear that I would need for this trip.May 22, 2022 https://thepointsguy.com/news/bag-tracking-apple-airtag/
  23. We are also leaving on a B3B and additionally the reason to splurge. We often may buy on first leg and then buy duty free on the last night and they just have you take it with your instead of delivering to your room.
  24. Let me take a stab at a couple Lounger availability will be dependent on the cruise and where you want to sit. If want directly next to the pool they are tight - If you are ok with the deck overlooking the swimming pool you will have no trouble finding loungers. Retreat really has no bearing and if any frees up chairs. Where the retreat is located virtually no one ever used for lounging. Specialty Restaurants worth and value are a personal decision. Food is Good, Atmosphere wonderful and service is very personalized. Entertainment - There are 2 shows a night (early and late) They last about 50 minutes and are a nice stage show on many nights intertwined with Vocalists, Magicians etc according to the cruise. Would you suggest you download the app and select a current sailing and look under cruise planner and they will list all the entertainment on the ship. In addition to the theater there are usually the house band that plays at the pool, lobby and other location in 50 minute sets. They usually also have 2-3 other entertainment groups from classic to modern that play through out the ship. Internet is much slower than on land and Premium is about the old dial up speeds. Good for web browsing, social networking, zoom meetings etc. Basic is very slow and probably only good for e-mail and messaging. Al Bacio is not free There is free coffee in Ocean View Cafe but al Bacio are usually covered by either a Classic or Premium Package - Also if you have Elite or above status on Captain Club Cappuccino, Espresso, Late are free. I will be doing a B2B2B on Summit in about a week and will be live posting so feel free to join in and ask questions as the cruise go along. Will usually fulfill any requests for pictures or to find out about specifics I may not know the answer to. I often post a copy of the Daily which will give you an idea of what goes on during the cruise.
  25. Interesting to read. We are looking at Ponant as we have friends that love it. I find the requirement that both guest in the room have to upgrade disturbing as I don't drink alcohol at all. My partner would definitely want the premium but I would feel short changed.
