We just got off Radiance NYE cruise. Believe me the crew partied that night, and the word on the street was that some had a really really good time.😁 I’m happy they can have some fun! We told our room attendant that we don’t use all our vouchers (to be honest just me, I can’t drink 5 drinks) and would he like something and he said beer. So we got cans of Fosters which is almost 2 cans worth of beer and left them in the cabin when we went to dinner and he took them when he serviced our room. There was no issue and even the bartender at Schooner knew and smiled when I got the beers.

I haven’t read all the posts in this thread, but wanted to add that our extended family spent a few nights in December in a large popular resort in Orlando in that had a water park a Flowrider. The cost was $35pp for 30 minutes. Our son paid for the 4 grandsons to do it and they had an amazing time, but that was surely an expensive half hour! I wouldn’t be surprised if Royal started to charge a small fee.

to add to my previous post about sensitive hearing, when I was a teenager living in NY, we used to go to Madison Square Garden all the time to see rock concerts with groups like Ozzy Osborne, Led Zepplin, ELP, Aerosmith, etc. loud groups…..and they were so loud I always stuffed tissue in my ears and actually when I did that I could hear the music better! Plus I attribute that to the reason I don’t need hearing aids yet and maybe why I can still hear a pin drop.

I love the quinoa salads. We just got off a B2B on Radiance and they had only basic foods in the WJ, probably due to the fact that they weren’t long cruises, it was a holiday cruise, and there were more kids than I’ve ever seen on a ship, and I don’t think they eat quinoa 😁 but actually, that’s what I’m making for dinner tonight though 😉 Always have earplugs with me, in fact I have some in my purse too. I can hear a pin drop, so when there’s loud music I need them. sorry I’m so behind in the thread, I was away and don’t go in CC. I’m trying to catch up 😁

Years ago I worked with an engineer that told me he had eaten the same breakfast since he was a child! Waffles every day. I almost didn’t believe him. I never knew anyone that did that before him. I thought it was crazy, I could never eat the same thing every day. Were only D+ but get the extra bottles of wine in the cabin also, and I can never drink 5 drinks a day, so I give them away to our room steward, I jus ask what they want. Do you just buy a drink and hand it to one of the entertainers? Why have I never thought of that 🤪

I wouldn’t be surprised if many of the mini segments begin to fill the ship and between that and all the publicity, you never know, they may do another. Personally I would like to see a version of the 4 segments around 40 or so days. we have 2 minis booked next June and we’re very excited to be a small part of the group.

On the Odyssey TA in October we had issues with sewage smell in the cabin twice..it was awful and hard to breathe. Went directly to GS and said they needed to correct it immediately because we couldn’t be in there, it burned our lungs. The first time they sent the room attendant and she poured water down the floor vent (I could tell it came from there) That lasted only a few days and it happened again and that time they called in a real plumber.. Who knows if that fixed it, we were off a couple of days later. Odd for that on such a new ship

Is Royal Caribbean building any small ships?

We’ve taken Amtrak to FLL once going down and once coming back. Both were for TAs which we didn’t want to leave our car there for more than a month. We picked it up at Winter Haven (we live in central Fl). We feel the same as you, we’re 45 min south of MCO, seems counterproductive to drive north to pick up a train to go south. For the time it takes to drive up there, wait for the train, etc….we could be halfway to FLL . -
My daughter’s whole family (except her) had the flu about a month ago. She had to take the kids to the dr and they did a test and saw it was Flu.
