  1. The outcome doesn't look good..........of course he can get a BC but at this point only his congressman can help. I'd get in touch with him/her immediately. In Texas one is able to go to an outstation or courthouse for the county in which you are born and obtain a stamped copy within a couple hours. Used to cost $12. But time is not on your side.
  2. Both our Alaska cruises were the very last cruise of the season in September. Clear skies almost everywhere but Skagway, fog was a problem on our train ride. But the natives were out in shorts the entire time. We saw plenty of whales, eagles, even a bear in the bear walk at the glacier in Juneau. I even caught a whale breaching on film! So any booking we do will repeat it. Glacier calving was terrific at Hubbard, but Tracy Arm wasn't very impressive. Will only do the Hubbard route. And my number one tip, if you book on the day itinerary is announced (used to be in March) book an aft. DSC_0023.NEF
  3. Hey no worries, nobody has all the answers, it is all speculation at this point. BTW has anyone heard Bayley give another "exciting announcement"....I keep waiting for it!
  4. I think you are pretty defensive yourself, you were negating my experience not the other way around. And Diamonds in December was a special sailing. Is it a game, what do you mean "does it count". I will not respond to any more of your posts in any event, I don't want to risk being suspended.
  5. I didn't say that either. I AM a little thin skinned, it happens on this blog. After being attacked by some posters you tend to get defensive. Sorry if you had no intention of being that.
  6. Oh a lot of people didnt but I do what I'm told....most of the time! 😉
  7. There are some at South Beach over by Beach club as well. I'd get there early though, there are not just lots of them.
  8. That is absolutely amazing, lifting the whole thing with cranes. I'd be afraid the glass would crack!
  9. It was the Diamonds in December on Mariner 2011 and the party was on the fantail area not the helipad. I have a movie of it but it won't post on here. We got an email from the diamond concierge before the cruise telling us about this cocktail event and to bring our Diamond pins for admittance, so after that I kept the diamond ones in case that happened again. As for the brick...That was on Vision 2019. The LA had to check to confirm our points with corporate, I remember that distinctly, and then she called our cabin and told us we'd be given the block at the C&A recognition in the Some Enchanted Evening Lounge. In the photo I am holding the brick. Yes we have clown noses on, it's a long story! Our only other block was Allure and it was sent to us. My Mother always taught me it was extremely rude to dispute someone's word.
  10. Several...once as we departed from Roatan there was a Diamond only event on the helipad and you had to wear your pin to get in. This was several years ago on Mariner. Just because you don't experience something doesn't mean it doesn't happen. You post almost sounded as though you think I made it all up. I'll find my photo of the block presentation and post it. And it wasn't luck, I was told to ask the LA about it and I did, she is the one who gave it to me onboard.
  11. These might help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IroTlcakpy0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgeDqmuQ7RA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAfsNySEz-o&t=111s
  12. That's how we got our 210 block ON the very cruise. I was told to get in touch with the LA and she made sure we got it, so I know the ship is in possession of some blocks. It was Vision and they gave it to us at the recognition ceremony with the officers. I'm hoping I can do the same for ICON. 3 blocks will look good on my bookshelf and these blocks are the only RCCL stuff I put out at all. I like them because they are subtle and classy. Don't care about pins at all. I just keep the diamond+ one so we can get into functions that sometimes require them. I threw the other ones out already.
  13. Our 280 should occur on our 2024 ICON cruise which I'm excited about. So if it occurs midcruise, you'll receive it later but it should be an ICON block right!
  14. Dec 11 here....still nothing😪 Oops, sorry spoke too soon, just checked and I also did The Book reservation.
  15. I have to laugh, although everyone's experience is different, the most screaming children we have ever encountered were on smaller ships. I'll never forget the Quinceaneras on Voyager! Those kids were everywhere making a complete nuisance of themselves. And they were old enough to know better! We have never experienced anything like you describe on any O class and we have sailed all of them but Harmony. I feel like RCCL has addressed just those problems on ICON having relegated most children to the aft in Boardwalk. We'll never even go to that part of the ship. In fact, the only crowding issues we encountered on any ship, any line is when the shows let out and the elevator bays at that end of the ship are a madhouse. But that has nothing whatever to do with the size of the ship. We just wait a while till the theaters clear out before trying to get out or take the stairs. You can only get so many cows into the shoots at a time! LOL. And ICON has twice the elevators in both bays, 8 forward and 12!!! centrum.
  16. I think that structure is just above those pool viewing circles marked here, actually part of the aquapool and you'll be able to view the divers entering the water from this part of the solarium.
  17. The first O class cruise we did was Allure in 2014, couldn't wait to get in that line for the Kemmelweck, was totally disappointed even then and have only had one more, we have 5 O class cruises under our belts, will never get another of those.
  18. Never had a crowding problem on O class, only problem is if you go with friends, somehow you never get to enjoy the ship. We just got off Grandeur last month. Won't be repeating, just doesn't have enough for us. We pretty much just sat at the bars and conversed with the 2 couples we went with. Odyssey and Icon will be just us! We will have time to enjoy the ships. I don't consider any of the sisters nor Odyssey too big.
  19. Did you go to the floating bar over at Adrenalin Beach, that's where we targeted for our trip in a few weeks. We stayed there the last trip to Labadee but it was rough in the water there, now that the breakwater is in place I think it will be great.
  20. I wish posters here could just let people enjoy what they like instead of finding fault with anything and everything and trying to change opinion with criticism. You like what you like. We go for innovation, I love seeing and experiencing anything new and exciting, so this ship will be right up my alley...others would rather sit and chill on their balcony...there are times we do that too...something for everybody, different strokes for different folks. It's not a crime to be different.
  21. For us it's our vacation home! We've been so many times there's nothing new they can show us, but we love the water and the people and Nachi. It's like On Golden Pond for us.
  22. We didn't find out that we were denied until after sailaway and multiple visits to the Ambassador..boohoo.
