  1. Please don't slam me if I go up to the buffet to get a 1/2 dz assorted cookies or extras at IC to keep in my room as all I order from RS is Key Lime Pot & cookies.
  2. So I wonder how many ppl who used to ask room service to pick up their tray (I did) will just stick it in the hall? Anyway can I split SD credit? I've got enough for 2× Gigis but not enough for the increase in Sabatinis
  3. And I do make use of elite tea on my balcony .... although sometimes they send WAY too much .... amt seems to increase with each cruise 😅🤣😂 (& tokens to do my own laundry ... would rather wait 1 hr than 7 days. Still have some)
  4. My CVP got me my preferred room on another transatlantic (11/28/24) and its the last room in that category (midship BW). So solos can still cruise on PCL 😊
  5. I don't sail in a suite so maybe the menu is different? But when I go to my app I can see the MDR dinner menu for the entire cruise once onboard. Just not the 'supplemental' vegan menu. The TV only shows the current days menu which isn't that helpful if trying to figure out which day to go to Sabatinis
  6. Everyone that you could possibly ever come in contact with. Pooled fleetwide for later disbursement.
  7. Just my 2c: 1. If possible book a BE on Caribe deck as the balcony is significantly larger 2. BFs are nonrefundable so you cannot refare if the price drops. And it usually will 3. Look up the room on https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/Sapphire-Princess 4. I used to ALWAYS book Plaza Deck 301-307. Quiet. Unobstructed outside. No one wants to walk thru art 'gallery' so less foot traffic 5. Nice ship, one of my favorites. Just out of drydock
  8. There wasn't a notice in the patter on my last cruise. So I used CrewChat to find out where it was.
  9. There should be programmatic software that catches dupes. Or, goes into a queue for an agent to followup. It should work within a 48-72 hour period. Many airlines are an automatic cancel of both bookings. A few weeks would really be an issue. With the new IT PCL software, IDK. Agree in theory but don't holds automatically drop off after 72 hrs now?? Also my CVP is notified when I put something on hold & calls me on Day 3
  10. @cusematt4 i understand what you're trying to do and I don't think its selfish BUT why don't you check out the rooms on a site like https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/cruiseline.php?line=Princess so that you'd have a better idea of what you want first?? Then check how long the current promo is in effect and switch (cancel & book another) before the promo ends? I mean there's a world of difference between the categories you mentioned:
  11. The vegan menu has an Indian main dish most nights
  12. Are those the only ones for Premier passengers? If so, not that many
  13. Say hi to Christina for me!! Her slot pulls are a lot of fun
  14. Re: long queues I couldn't tell which lane you were assigned to. When I left from FLL last December I was "green, elite not suite" and there wasn't a dedicated line outside. I'm frankly hoping it'll be better when I do the East Coast coastal again (love those ports) if I get the medallion ahead of time
  15. Wait .... cruisers got a 7 day cruise + 75% refund + 75% FCC?? So let's say the suite was 10k or 1k per day. -7k cruise 7 days + 3 days lodging in SF -7.5k refunded to method of payment -7.5k received in FCC Another way: spent $10,000. Got $7500 refunded. Meaning 7 day cruise was only $2500 and cruiser has 7500 fcc to use by 2/1/2025!?!?!! Although it is upsetting to look forward to something and then have to be flexible & even if the FCC is never used, the cruiser is still ahead!!!! Dang wish I had that deal!
  16. Wow ... it was on during March Maddness (Royal)
  17. View from E409 so it really depends on whether you are midship bump out or not: Find the 'obstruction' 😁 (Tip: you need to look down .... I'll help you out)
  18. If you have a CVP ask them to book both excursions with your OBC. I've done that for up to 5 passengers (4 kids & me ziplining) If mine could do it, I'm sure yours can too.
  19. If you have to sail by Feb 1, 2025 you've got 1 summer, 1 spring, and 2 winter breaks. Surely the 'grandkids' have 1 of those off. And why can you only cruise in a full suite? (Asks someone who slums it in a balcony with the grandkids in an adjoining balcony. They are not sleeping in my room, I want my sleep)
  20. I wasn't sure so that's why I put in the port. So by what you're saying I'd rather do a B2B here so I could experience a basically empty ship .... but good to know that I don't even have to get off in Europe
  21. Just did my 1st B2B. Here's what hsppened: > instruction letter the night before > all those doing B2B met in Explorers Lounge > 30 in the group. escorted off after everyone else debarked, 17 went sightseeing with an in-transit card to skip embarkation process > staff walked 13 back thru terminal & back on immediately > full access to everything open onboard (went to room to drop off passport then off to International Cafe for tea & pastry) > other passengers embarked an hour later > loved having a nearly empty ship & can't wait until my next B2B This was LA but I hear the process is the same all over
  22. Just letting you know what Princess policy (allowed amounts) is for carrying on water and soda. We don't bring water and soda onboard. Me either but I always carry on 1-2 bottles of wine (1 per week & take home what I trade minibar for). Except on my last cruise (5/27-6/17/23) I carried on 2 bottles and a mini bottle of champagne. They just wanted to make sure that 3rd bottle was wine ... just took my word for it. Never charged me 😉 Rules say 1 bottle per adult Adding: 12 bottles water = $7.08 in personalizer
  23. Only responding about the Discovery & its sister ship Enchanted. Other ships were slightly different. Buffet: specialty coffees (charge) & ice cream (nc) available in the buffet. Also lemonade at lunch & assume they have juice for breakfast but I eat in MDR unless hunting down ice cream MDR: Lemonade, ice tea, hot tea, coffee, juice. No charge. Never ordered juice with dinner -- that's a pot of tea for me. But I have it with breakfast & lunch. There's a charge for other beverages
  24. I'm a tea drinker & I prefer my tea to what they offer now that they don't carry Mighty Leaf Vanilla Bean tea. Hot water at IC is NC. Buy a dz waters for $7. I can get ice cream at meals, 3 scoops + 4 toppings was $4 on Emerald at IC in the afternoon (disembarked 6/17/23), and I'm never going to a gym .... hate power walking inside. Plus I love the chance to unplug. So the Plus / Premier pkg would basically cover gratuities.
  25. Some are really obstructed and some not at all. You could always try looking a particular cabin up at: https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/cruiseline.php?line=Princess
