  1. religion is not discussed on these boards 😉 I had to look that word up when those commercials started appearing... 😅🤣😂 needed a good laugh today 😆
  2. The way I do it is to put the 2nd cruise on hold before releasing the 1st one but I haven't done that for 3 months & we all know that things change
  3. When I was on the Emerald Princess I was unable to book a cruise (solo here) with ONE Network but they wanted to sell me an undetermined week for $3300. I'm not stupid. Why would I fork over $3300 if I can't get a cruise? If Princess / CCL is no longer interested in my travel $$s where do I go?? Does any other line (other than MSC) let us transfer our status?
  4. I *think* you can but I turned my form into them (at the same time they were unable to book me) and I was never charged. Next time I'm doing it online as that shouldn't need human interaction Have any other solos had a problem with ONE?
  5. ONE also handles onboard future cruise sales for Royal Caribbean according to 1 employee. She worked for Princess prior to shutdown then found a job with RCCL transferred back to Princess once that dept was shifted to ONE. No thank you -- I was insulted / confused when she said (and supervisor reiterated) that they couldn't sell me a voyage but could sell me a pkg for $3300 for an unknown week. Do I look stupid???? At my next M&G I'm going to ask that the future cruise dept not be invited.
  6. I found the Future Cruise Consultants on the Emerald Princess 5/27/23-6/17/23 to be useless. (1) didn't know the difference between refare and rebook (2) stated the voyage I was interested in was no longer booking solos reserving all rooms for dbl occupancy (3) referred me to the Cruise Vacation Planning dept if I wanted to sail again. Texted my CVP who booked me
  7. Yes @Cruise Raider. Salty Dog Gastropub has several vegetarian options, Salty Dog Grill just had that horrid veggie burger. Not the Beyond Burger one served at the Gastropub
  8. Uh @big al I watched sports at Take 5 on the Enchanted Princess Sept 2022. But just at night. Think it also was on in the casino like all other ships
  9. Thats a pot of pre-steeped tea. BUT when I order Elite tea for 1 to my room I could get whatever tea I wanted. Just way WAY too much food I asked for 2 scones and marmalade. 1st 1/2 of B2B they brought 1 dz scones, 1 bowl each raspberry jam / marmalade / cream (almost a pint of each), plus what you see here. 2nd 1/2 pictured here was more reasonable. But they made a big deal of setting me up both times with tablecloth & another table. Really sweet Next time I'll ask at M&G if someone in a nearby room wants some (3 roll call rooms in same section -- midship / odd side). I just want 2 scones / marmalade or jam / cream ... a snack not a meal
  10. So its for a rebook not a refare? At least CVPs can lift & shift everything keeping the same room / ezair ..... now it just depends if the fare stayed the same
  11. Thank you @emeraldlake @DiRonT ask your TA /CVP! Should be able to add it on @hobo1937 it always says that but the accounting system onboard only restricts specialty dining credits. Every thing else goes into 1 pot
  12. @MissP22 and @Micahs Grandad I can spend my time lamenting how things used to be or I can be uber glad that I bought CUK at 6.50 it's currently at 16.9 plus I've already recouped 1500 OBC with 500 OBC already posted for the next 2 cruises. I prefer to see it as WHOO HOO I'm ahead and it's no longer on the sell list
  13. Perfect!! Spouse #1 has military OBC & spouse #2 has shareholders OBC
  14. I searched that out on the Princess website last week. If that helps
  15. Wow such misconception. 1st in a couple if 1 has shares and the other served then each gets up to 250 OBC. 2nd not everyone has served. Especially after the draft was eliminated.
  16. I'd venture to say not many as most of those issued in 2020 expired last December and new ones are only valid for 12 months
  17. I used it once in Fort Lauderdale in December 2021. Although it was simple enough I wound up paying much more what it would have cost if I just booked transfers & hotel separately. And more than I would have paid if I just booked hotel & uber separately. But I'm a solo so it might not be as much of an overcharge for couples Picked me up at airport -> dropped me off at hotel -> picked me up at hotel -> dropped me off for embarkation. At disembarkation used same shuttle as others to airport Added:: Found my notes: 2 transfers + 1 night in hotel = $298. Hotel booked separately was $150. So simple but pricey JMHO
  18. After years of tipping extra (remember white envelopes?) I did not tip any extra on my last 3 cruises. Felt strange in April but normal by the end of June. I'm burnt out by everyone asking for extras. In fact I'm even cutting back on tipping at home. Just raise their wages and bill me if $18.07 minimum wage isn't enough. (Now you can flame me 🔥 )
  19. @Micahs GrandadExactly!! I traded CCL (a lot) in my IRA to wipe out a loss (bought 56 -- had 1.5k OBC sold at 9 so lost 3200 less dividends / then traded a bunch back & forth to recover) finally bought CUK in the brokerage account. Reeped over 1500 OBC so far with another 500 already logged in. Don't really worry about it anymore as the shareholder OBC is like a non-taxable dividend for a stock I've been reimbursed for (yeah I know I'm wrong but that's how I view it)
  20. CUK is at 15.60 up from 52 week low of 5.43 (I'm in at 6.50 so not the lowest but I'm satisfied)
  21. I've got GOOD news (at least it is in my opinion). I can get hot water at IC to go with my premium tea that I pack from home. No Coffee Pkg needed. And I get EXACTLY the tea I like.
  22. I was going to say "still water" is a common term for non-carbonated bottled water in California but the discovered that you live justv1 county over @damiross. (Alameda vs Contra Costa)
  23. Cruises to Pacific Northwest out of SF were a disaster in April 2022 because of the requirements to complete the Canadian ArriveCAN form. And that was because so many passengers did NOT do it ahead of time. That is no longer a requirement and getting inside the terminal is relatively fast now, Anyway it was fast in April 2023. What a difference a year / expired Covid restrictions makes
  24. I'm only going to address 2 lines I highlighted in red. On my Emerald Princess 5/27-6/17/23 and Royal Princess in Apr 2023 there were erroneous charges. I went on MedallionClass Crew Chat and told them (1) glass of wine wasn't mine (2) it was tea not latte. Both were immediately removed. Oddly the tea charge never showed up. The MedallionClass app Crew Chat works. Plus I can see my totals with exactly what it's for anytime. So no, you will not get any charges without explanation. Zoo like atmosphere at the buffet. I don't like the buffets. There's no pushing, just gluttonous ppl. I go to International Cafe instead where I can get a few small bites (almond croissant OR sandwich, dessert, cookie -- I'm a dessert & ice creamaholic) Now on a side-note, I did not feel overcrowded despite the ship being oversold. There's always a quiet spot. And it really helps now that I can get specialty teas at 2 places.
  25. @PacnGoNow makes sense business-wise for PCL to ditch them then. I'll be trying out O'Malleys
