  1. No, Lions Club and Rotary. $5 a snag sanga. Scouts organise the flag raising. I don't think Eurobodalla Council put in a cent, they are tightwads, too many pot holes to fill. Great day for the beach, 30C.
  2. Happy Straya day to all our viewers. Have a good one. In Batemans Bay there is a big bbq and flag raising, not many down there which is a worry.
  3. If people stopped buying at those stupid prices Princess and the rest of the cruise lines might wake up. If they charged say $25 instead of $55 for a $6 bottle of plonk like Markview or DeBortoli Willowglen then they would surely sell more?
  4. Did Concierge Class on Celebrity Solstice to NZ some years ago, balcony cabin just behnd the bridge, nice ship but Concierge was a waste of money in my view.
  5. Only been on one Royal Class ship like Majestic. That was on Royal Princess in Europe. Not a fan at all, no real promenade deck, too many people, too much space wasted on retail. Problems at tender ports with so many pax, around 3500. Give me the Grand class or Coral any time.
  6. Problem with fly/cruise packages is that the tour operator or cruise line will often pick the cheapest flight, the best deal they can get with the airline/best commission.
  7. Perhaps the Carnival brands take more care or are more responsible than RCI etc. Standby for incoming, lol.
  8. A nightmare, Qantas has lost the plot. The last times we flew overseas we flew Air NZ to USA and Cathay Pacific or Singapore A/L to Asia or Europe. They were very good. I do not know why people still fly on Qantas, is it the safety record? Certainly not the service, food and comfort.
  9. On the subject of hot cross buns, OMG what has happened, the world has gone mad !! Hot Cross buns made with cheese and vegemite in Coles.
  10. If you are interested in Antarctic history, visit the Mawsons Hut museum on the Waterfront.
  11. 4% card charge on Amex, probably Diners Card too. Probably why many merchants will not accept them. ANZ Visa Debit Card all the way for me. Only card I have these days. Universally accepted.
  12. The red carpet is cleaned and ready to go. and the cougars await...enjoy your cruise Chili.
  13. Princess is marking up the Willowglen by almost $50 a bottle. Totally over the top in my opinion.
  14. Correct Julie, it was De Bortoli Willowglen range, about the same quality as Markview Range, commercially sound.
  15. That would be the Mcwilliams Markview Range, $8 in Dan Murphys, $16 at my golf club and it was $55 or so on Coral Princess in Sept or $9 a glass. Drinkable, just.🍷 Yes, the Markview was the cheapest on menu. So Grand would have the same pricing.
  16. Well Cunard is also in the Carnival stable so policy should be same across all their brands.
  17. That would make the Cunarders boil lol. So if we wear that nice mask, singlets, shorts and thongs would be acceptable for dinner on QE, QM2 and QV? 🤣
  18. Same here Lyle giving billions to other countries and somewhat neglecting their own citizens. Also like 🇨🇦 Canada funding and staffing issues in the health system.
  19. Cutting out skin cancers is a money spinner for The GP @ $300 a chop in drs rooms.
  20. Good idea Lucy, I can contribute with my experiences. I have been a medically diagnosed coeliac since 2010 and been on several cruise lines. They all cater quite well for gf if they are given notice but the gf person has to play their part too by asking questions at the buffets etc. I will check out your site, although my cruise career is drawing to a close due to health. Well done.😀
