  1. Gratuities for Spa treatments are separate from Aquaclass All Included pricing.
  2. This is sorely needed. The current equipment is old as dirt. My sense is the layout will be the same, but there will be cosmetic changes to the walls. The men's locker room needs upgraded lockers.
  3. I was just clarifying that not only don't you need to but you can't. In other words even on cruiselines like Royal or Virgin where you have the ability to reserve shows in advance technically you don't have to since they may be available seats a few minutes before the show starts without reservations. I wasn't invalidating your response, just further clarification.
  4. Just to be clear, you CANNOT book any shows on any Celebrity ship in advance even if you wanted to. There's no such functionality.
  5. So it seems UR Comped offers are on average less generous than say Carnival 's Elite offers. UR Comped main cruiseline offering are with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, MSC, and Virgin. You'll probably get a comped balcony cabin offerings from those cruiselines. How it works is that once you've been vetted you can go onto their website and see what cruises from those cruiseslines are being offered through URComped. You should scroll through what's being offered and if a cruise on a particular ship appeals to you see what they are offering and then if you're interested click on the book button. What happens then is they will confirm whether you qualify for that particular offer. You'll receive notification whether you qualified and at that point you can accept the offer or decline it. URComped offers usually doesn't include Freeplay. Sometimes it may include other freebies like drink package and wi-fi but not always and TBH usually not. Generally their offers are room only. The website will tell you if freebies are being offered on a particular cruise. The main benefit of booking through URCOMPED is the amount of cruises offered. You can also try cruiselines you haven't been on before, like Virgin Voyages. URComped doesn't work with Carnival, Princess, NCl, Holland America. They used to work with Crystal before they went bankrupt ( they have been restarted but URComped doesn't work with them now) but don't currently work with any other 5* cruiseline.
  6. No worries. The casino is an L shaped space. One of the more unique aspects are the large windows behind the table games area.
  7. I forgot to add that on Celebrity the Retreat Lounge for suite customers has the munchies you're looking for.
  8. NO. Wrong. THE Casino is only on Deck 7. Deck 8 where you circled is Chibang and Havana Bar.
  9. The new Costa additions will definitely have some different amenities not previously part of the Carnival brand. I'm on the Luminosa in September and I'm trying to determine which cabins on that ship have shower doors vs curtains.
  10. I don't think any Carnival ship besides the Excel Class have glass shower doors in their standard cabins.
  11. To be clear although it's one casino it's pretty separated. It's not one big casino with smoking on the Port side and non smoking on the Starboard side and no divisions. For all intents and purposes they are in separate SECTIONS. Here's a creen shot of the deck plans. As you can see they are in SEPARATE SECTIONS.

  13. On the E-Class Celebrity ships (Edge,Apex,Beyond) there's a Cafe, the Eden Cafe, that used to have those little individual bags of Lays potato chips just sitting out on the counter for anyone to take. And exactly as you said, they were always gone in a snap. Celebrity wised up and now the cafe still offers potato chips but it's behind the counter where they prepare the made-to-order sandwiches and it's no longer individual sealed bags; they put a small handful on the plate next to the sandwich. I will agree with the OP that with as much included food items on most cruiseships there are some things that definitely aren't available. Agree with the crunchy food items along with Candy. So far Virgin Voyages is one of the few cruiselines that offer candy and other snack foods not found on other cruise lines. Regarding candy Celebrity USED to have M&Ms and other candies as add-ons in the buffet Ice cream area. No more. Now it's just sprinkles.
  14. Actually there's lots of Youtube videos about the Luminosa but it's pertains to the current Australian sailings. Go to youtube and look up Carnival Luminosa. You'll find cabin tours and all sorts of information.
  15. The #1 helpful hint is to REWEAR clothes. For example, a men's button collar shirt can be reworn 2x before washing. This cuts down on the amount of clothes you need to bring. No one cares that you wore the same shirt to dinner three days ago.
  16. That may be their rules but it didn't apply in our case. We have/had multiple Celebrity cruises booked through BCC & URComped simultaneously. Last year we had two Celebrity cruises through URcomped while also booked a MSC and Virgin with them. This year we had a Celebrity BCC cruise and a URcomped Celebrity cruise. We're already part of URcomped 50+ nights Club.
  17. If this has happened to you has your experience been the airline hasn't charged you any fare differential? Usually the earlier flights are cheaper and late morning flights more expensive, which is generally why people want to book earlier flights than just a couple of hours later. This particular situation has never happened to us when it's OUR fault for missing the flight, hence the question. We've missed a connecting flight due to a late arrival of the first leg, and of course the airline put us on the next available flight with no additional fees charged. I'm not sure that's the case when it's the passenger's fault for missing a flight and you don't have Elite status with the airline.
  18. I'm not sure what you were trying to say here? Are you saying that a 9:30am flight would have been too early given what time you made it to the airport? If so, most definitely. A 9:30am flight means boarding at 9:00am.
  19. That method has already been mentioned several times earlier on this thread.
  20. Correct. There will also be certain drinks in the cabin minibar that will be complementary, generally the beers, waters and sodas(Along with the initial bottle of sparkling wine which can be substituted for red or white) . But you would have to confirm that with your cabin butler.
  21. The current table setting doesn't include all the flatware that's normally set-up prior to the American Table concept. For example a salad fork isn't placed on the table until it's needed. I wasn't making a judgement on the merits of this, just stating the changes that occurred when the new dining room setup was implemented.
