  1. A couple things. Airline website prices can change literally every time a person inquires about or books a ticket. Thus impossible for Flight Ease to keep current. Flight Ease will update maybe twice a day. That about all that they can do. Flight Ease is a consolidator- not a travel agent - as such they will book or often have access to group blocks of seats. The groups are often organized by other consolidators. Group blocks for domestic travel on average offer little or no discounts - but usually more flexibility. FWIW - If a flight is changed or canceled you will probably with the chaos today know before Flight Ease. Will they TRY to fix things - sure; but there often little they can do that you could not do if you booked direct. The big exception being when you pay and if you miss the ship they will (eventually) get you to the ship paying for any additional costs. Domestically go direct. International flights Flight Ease will often make sense. I also presume before X date they will reduce the price if the ticket has not been issued. RCL and Princess do so, but you need to purchase first and go through a hassle to get a reduction.
  2. You also are dealing with lots of new tour operators. Times can and will change. It really never mattered to me of a tour began at 8am or 8:30. What was important is it did not start before we were able to disembark and got us back before sailaway.
  3. I use a piece of masking tape and a black Sharpie pen. Write the cabin number on the tape and stick to my bag before leaving home. The porters then tag at the curb. Works fine and no stress. Print out a luggage tag. Heck no.
  4. Agree with others. $29.99 is not a horror story. Understand the principle of the thing statement, but at some point not worth it. Then the issue seems to be over you cancelling your card when freezing new charges would have done the job. Your bank will transfer any credits to your new account after a statement cycle. So about 30-45 days. Relax.
  5. Am wondering where you saw information that there were not mini fridges in EVERY cabin on every Celebrity ship.
  6. Cannot speak about water, but there is no change in beers covered. Newcastle and Strongbow for example have always been covered. Many craft beers were never covered and are still not.
  7. The buffet will hopefully change back partway. It is not a crisis as there is plenty of food elsewhere. As for losing weight? Maybe give up lunch entirely. Get the continental room service breakfast. And no desert in the MDR at dinner.
  8. You explained the problem in your post. You booked last minute. Only suites have priority boarding. Missing a lunch in the MDR is nice but nothing to get upset about. Arrive early and be prepared to wait.
  9. So distilled water is not to your taste? Have to laugh as the #1 bottled water company in the West uses filtered city water and puts it in a plastic bottle. I bring my refillable bottle and fill at the filling station on board.
  10. Really - the staff is taught passengers are right. Unless YOU said something discretely to your waiter or the Maitre'd they can't do anything.
  11. AQ cabins vary in location by class of ship. Would never stay below the pool. Lots of great locations
  12. You have different rules in the UK. But it sounds like an pretty obvious computer system error. Would suggest 20% off might be fair. Without knowing the specifics hard to be accurate on what would happen in Australia with similar rules.
  13. Correction- the bean counters don't want advice. I think the recent change in the OV will be partially rolled back.
  14. The violence in Mexico is not localized. It is rampant along the entire border with the US and effects many towns both coastal and inland. Most tourist areas are heavily policed, but don't stray far if you want to be safer. From Ciudad Juarez (El Paso) to Acapulco and in between lots of problems
  15. Depending on the Celebrity website would not be smart. Wait to 89 days out and your reservation will be canceled automatically. Call soon.
  16. Say hello after you board and let them know your preferences for setting time and table selection.
  17. Heartily suggest you go to the Insuarance Forum or call Steve at the Insurance Store. Insurance can be per cruise or year. Lot of choices
  18. More relaxed? How? On our last Celebrity cruise the MDR had lots of t-shirts- some plain and many sports teams, jeans of all colors including plain ol blue jeans, sandals abounded. Nobody cared or stared at anybody else. Other than shorts or swimsuits there was no code of what people wore.
  19. As others said - relax. Sorting this out on a holiday will or would be more difficult than waiting till later in the week. Are you cruising shortly? If not why not wait till the infamous X website gremlins disappear?
  20. Agree. The choices are now more limited. It felt similar to Royal which had far fewer choices than Celebrity. If people stop booking things with stop declining. Right now bookings are robust. FWIW looking at a TA for 2024 and prices there were very similar to last year. They prices varied greatly from cruise to cruise.
  21. Big advertising $$. Where? Have seen almost nothing except on the internet. I in reality can see most of the changes except for the Oceanview cutback. Obviously trying to move people to the MDR and specialty restaurants.
  22. The extra OBC for booking on board has not changed as of two weeks ago. Bo, agree there would be an explosion if X took that away. In reality it isn't much and you must spend it with X.
  23. 4th There could have been a promotion, your TA could have booked you into a group rate with OBC or a dozen other things. Thus you do not know. Anything showing now is likely to be not refundable I would not spend any energy before boarding trying to figure it out beyond possibly asking my TA.
