  1. You can either go to the Ports forum and search there or go to a search site that give Advice for your Trip or sells excursion tickets. Find a similar adventure and you likely have your information.
  2. Really? Got to have the airlines cooperate and lots of issues relating to restrictions that are covid related. Celebrity liked it as the bags were coded alike and off they went. With the handling restrictions not very lucrative. Also the issue that most tickets do not include baggage fees and different for everyone based on status. Doubtful it will return anytime soon. And yes I loved it and used it
  3. Use your smartphone and either the website or app. The phone will format the photos automatically. A laptop will not. Do you have a picture of them? Simply find the best head photo with a background that is maybe sky or? and take a photo with your smartphone of that. I presume you know how to take a selfie. Both ArriveCAN and Celebrity require head shots and photos of your covid cards. If you still have problems there must be a friend, child or someone where you live that can assist. The passport data can be entered manually in both ArriveCAN and Celebrity app.
  4. Not today with covid. Possibly in Seattle as the port offered it but in general no.
  5. What would have been entered on your cruise record is only the dates of your quarantine. The policies have completely changed since the other poster 9 months ago. Have friends that were on Apex in June and quarantined and they were told their credit would be issued in several weeks.
  6. This month we asked to leave a day early in Victoria instead of Vancouver. Was told no. Explanation was covid and customs issues. It cannot hurt to ask
  7. I hear your frustration. You need to have a discussion with your TA. The time lag is running about 90 days but your TA should be able to apply the credit to a future cruise almost immediately. You are saying X is not willing to reinstate your FCC, but think you are simply caught up in the issue of new employees having an impossible amount of changes to process. I would find a cruise I like and tell my TA to apply that $$ amount to the new cruise using the FCC. The situation is much the same with every company in the travel industry. Airlines probably worse than cruiselines today. Takes time to train employees.
  8. Welcome to Cruise Critic. If you would give some specifics someone could answer. What cruise ship? When is your cruise? Are you asking about a shore excursion? Where? Your question likely belongs on the roll call for your cruise. Looking at your past posts suggests you are looking at a tour to Mendenhall Glacier. Have done this a few times. Easiest is to walk across the street leaving the ship and find the city bus stop. There is a city bus that can take you there. Call the tourist office if you need specifics.
  9. Your TA is the one who must do the job if booked through a TA. You cannot do it yourself. Tell them to apply the FCC to your existing booking. Should not be a big deal
  10. What I would ask is if Celebrity reports confirmed cases of Covid to the CDC? We know the answer is yes. Second is how many are diagnosed? Going to the CDC website you can get a range of cases by percentage of those on board. But only that. Can you get the reported numbers from the CDC? Several here have tried and failed. No real numbers from the CDC since December. Why is the CDC no.longer reporting case numbers?
  11. True. But unless things changed very recently group rate bookings thru a TA are refundable up.to final payment date.
  12. I think you will need to wait until closer to your cruise as to what will happen with testing and country rules. No predictions as to what Australia will do. We have not visited since 2019 first because of the closure then the possibility of quarantine
  13. Actually Beyond is too large to dock in Mykonos. Tender only
  14. Discounts are offered if it appears Celebrity will not fill the specialty restaurants. With staffing issues and tons of OBC out there (we have $1250 on a TA next year!) recently there has been no need to discount very much. Yes you will be offered a discount for the first night. As to a discount for Eden - is sells at full price so why discount?
  15. Guarantee while there will be a few that will overindulge; it will be no different than the cruise we took on Infinity with 1400 Aussies and 400 Kiwis where Celebrity ran out of beer 6 days into a 14 day cruise. If someone was overserved someone assisted in getting them to their cabin. Some 5 or 6 years ago there was a large group on a cruise during Spring Break. Things got rowdy and there were numerous incidents on board. At the next port a couple dozen passengers were thrown off and arrested. Many others were packed up and left on the pier.
  16. Am 74 fully vaxxed and boosted primary doctor sort of laughed when asked about Paxlovid. Same for DW who has asthma that is under control with occasional meds. At over $500 hard to justify for a maybe usage. If you have a serious condition Celebrity has always evacuated you to a shore facility.
  17. We have done multiple B2B cruises. The notice was different every time. Sometimes had to physically leave the ship. Other times just a meeting with a new sea pass. Clock out with the old and in with the new. Often a special lunch on board offered. Much depends on the country.
  18. Everyone needs to always bring a few toiletries, ALL things medical, all documents and a couple changes of underwear and a top or two with them on board. Cheap insurance to bring a carryon on your plane. Every cruise someone on board arrives with no luggage - their meds and important papers inside enjoying travelling to other airports
  19. Since Celebrity uses satellite connection being near land won't help as usually 20+ miles out to sea. Your connection will mostly depend on the number of people on board using the connections- X amount of bandwidth divided by Y number of users. Dinnertime on board has fewer users from both passengers and crew. Satellite coverage there is excellent. Wondering if your friend could not do the call while still in port? Good WiFi at Naples terminal and a 5G signal. And to actually answer your question - Yes most of the time it works. "MOST".
  20. There are lots of pictures and descriptions in the cabin sticky. Lifeboats same as before refurb. Restricts view down.
  21. If Aqua is fully booked then no even if in a suite. Blu is small.
  22. Vancouver and Toronto Canada the same lately. Hours to check in and baggage transfers taking forever. Son had a 3 hour layover in Dallas connecting to Dublin Ireland. Guess what? Bags arrived 2 days later. Seems flying is going to be an adventure as airlines cannot hire crews and airports lack staff.
  23. We keep making this way too complicated. If you board on a Saturday you need to test either on Thursday or Friday. It really needs to be ANY type of antigen test. Those results come back in under an hour. NOT a PCR test with up to 48 hours for results. The test needs to be proctored. Either in person or virtually using a company like OnPoint or Rapidtestandtrace.com. You can use ANY government approved test from US, UK, Canada etc. The virtual tests take about 15-20 on WIFI.
  24. Yes- just ask what type of milk is available as it will vary. In the dining rooms likely only whole or 2%, but again ask. It always has been Nestlé pre covid and actually usually made by adding water. The powder contains milk powder.
