  1. highly rated on Google review, which is my go to. They have an elevator, which is a real plus in older building. I like serviced apartments for longer stays. This is good to keep in mind for the future, thank you. Great location to a busy neighborhood with tons of options. Stroll through Borough Market then go in to Southwark Cathedral for evensong and perhaps see Hodge the Cat. Plus you are not far from the National Theatre where there is usually something worth checking out. COnvenient also to the south bank river walk, which makes for a fantastic evening stroll. Doing so on a rising full moon, doesnt get much better
  2. The OP does not mention what day of the week she is expecting to drive up on. If a weekday I would totally plan to go a day ahead of time. Traffic from just south of Olympia up through Everett can potentially be very heavy and slow on a workday. Leaving at 5am put you in the heart of rush hour traffic on a weekday. On a weekend, particularly SUnday I would plan on getting on the road and trying to be north of Olympia before noon. On any day of the week, I hate this drive and overall I love to drive. For sure an airport parking lot and the train into town. $100 is an outstanding rate. The parking garage I use at my airport is consistently filled and I always reserve weeks in advance. People are really traveling a lot now. I find that google maps with the traffic feature turned on is much better than the WSDOT app. Sadly they changed the app last year and it is much less user friendly or nimble. I can see traffic and accidents in an instant without a lot of fuss on my google maps
  3. If you are going to stay in Paddington, simply catch the Elizabeth Line to Heathrow. Trains are frequent and comfortable. Agree with Island 2 Dweller that Heathrow Express is no longer all that.
  4. They are very simple to use. If I could figure it out, believe me anyone could
  5. This is exactly the type of question you should ask your pharmacist. This is the type of knowledge they have and each medication has its own characteristics as far as its dosing and blood levels and activities
  6. No the Uber Lyft drivers have their own area inside the parking levels in the garage, It is just inside the garage from the outer driveway that the shuttles use, There are signs to direct you. There should be no issue. I transited out of SEA yesterday evening using a shuttle van to get to the parking garage off property. Driver said his circuit from garage to pick up back to garage takes him 8 minutes at most The arrivals area was busy but everything appeared to be flowing nicely.
  7. I pull the batteries on my Tile trackers and store them and the tracker inside my bags until the next trip. This way they are not pinging on my phone at home, wearing themselves out
  8. Agree. Flybus is an excellent way of getting from the airport. They also do the blue lagoon transfer. You can check your bags at the BL and when done you will be transfered to the central depot then onward by shuttle to most hotels When booking a hotel, make sure they include breakfast. I used Reykjavik Excursions and was pleased with their services. You can visit their page for more details. Golden circle is a classic full day inland tour from the city, highly recommend.
  9. What you may wish to do is make a loop road trip and take the eurostar train from Amsterdam to london, then onward to Southampton
  10. Totally agree with @Flatbush Flyer. Get your information from the public health or the CDC travel page. The follow on countries you are visiting can request to see your vaccine card. This may be a response to a rise in disease in the prior country or other circumstance in progress. Just because others did not get asked doesn't mean you won't Up to date info at the CDC. Most major pharmacy chains have travel vaccine clinic as well as medical care networks.
  11. If you are in Normandy, seek out their hard ciders. My first cider experience was Normandy , the standard is high
  12. Consider where exactly you want to go. The new tram line runs from cruise ship dock through the heart of town and onward to the airport
  13. @YaYaCruiser if you are an adventurous eater, there are a lot of interesting places around the station neighborhood
  14. Your options are either get a cab or take the subway from the nearby Main Street station ( across the park). Alight at Garrard street and walk 1 block. You can see these station on you phones map app. I like Google Maps for getting around. Rome2Rio app is exceptionally helpful for finding navigation option, particularly when you are in a port City on your trip. If you are a traveler these two apps can be most useful . Day in and day out Google Maps is my busiest app.
  15. Ditto what Ferry Watcher says. The hotel is one of the Grand Ladies if seattle and Andaluca and Olivers are both exceptional. Reservations needed for the restaurant, book ahead
  16. Are you ending your visit by flying out from the airport? If so, get your car there. Return will be easier and then they will shuttle you to departures.
  17. Thay may have to do with the source of the flour and mass vs local bakery. Many European flour perform differently
  18. Thank you for the insightful topic. I started filling out the form in my head as a mind exercise. How many defunct businesses (4) and dead supervisors (2) will they overlook
  19. Lol. That is epic level, Geoff Marshall navigation
  20. If you have google maps on your phone you should be able to easily find your walking route from. Earls Court station to your hotel
  21. Flew out this morning. North end of the shuttle and van driveway is shut off and under construction. Some of the stops have moved, but the stop for Alaska and Delta appear to be the same. The busier stops further along the drive are still open and busy. I could not see out to the arrivals passenger driveway. The departure driveway was backed wayyyyyyy up at 430am. Not sure why those folks don't use the arrrivals driveway.
  22. Agree. I flew Emerates Seattle to Johannesburg then onward to George SA. 35 hours door to door. Emerates knows how to make a long haul endurable. Right now sitting in Detroit on way to Columbus Ohio. I always grumble that I can get to LHR faster , from Seattle , than anyplace in the US, east of the Mississippi river. I think the LHR to Madrid then non stop is a wonderful choice
  23. In my experience it is often sweet. Occasionally a non- sauced one is a touch spicy. I think it is so much like many things, people have their favorite. Probably based on how their Grandparents liked it. I have also seen it made with mustard bases sauce
  24. Saturday is not likely to be busy on the bus for this route. You and your bag should be fine
  25. That is a good thing then, good that you checked in with them.. I have a flight out tomorrow. Every month it seems there is something new. KIRO radio stays on top of the big infrastructure info on their morning radio show ( traffic) so you can have a listen.
