  1. Last June 2022 we sailed on Adventure Of The Seas five day sailing to Bermuda. When we arrived at Cape Liberty at approximately 11:00AM there was a sign displayed at the garage stating that only handicapped vehicles were allowed in the garage. We parked approximately a half mile away in the fenced in area outside if the abandoned warehouses. Employees at the lot advised me that since three different ships were currently cruising from Cape Liberty even though the garage wasn't completely full they were enforcing the handicapped vehicle restrictions. When we finally got on the ship I noticed that there were plenty of empty parking spaces on the top floor of the garage
  2. Hotels very close to the Port Of Miami charge thirty to forty dollars plus per night to leave your vehicle while you cruise. Some hotels in the Blue Lagoon area near MIA charge less. You would have to contact the hotels directly for pricing. You normally also have to stay there at least one night too.
  3. Any Publix Supermarket has a very good variety of wine in any price range.
  4. I'm unaware of any shuttle service that will make this trip for you. A cab, Uber or Lyft is the way to go. A cab should run you around fifty dollars plus tip for the thirty plus minutes trip.
  5. Most car rental companies discontinued free shuttle services from FLL to Port Everglades approximately four years ago. A cab from FLL to Port Everglades should run you around twenty dollars plus tip for the short fifteen minute ride.
  6. There's normally a few cabs waiting in front of the hotel. If there's none there you can call or ask someone at the front desk to do it for you.
  7. Riverside Hotel on Las Olas Blvd in downtown Fort Lauderdale is a wonderful hotel near plenty of great restaurants. It's literally a short fifteen minute ride over too Port Everglades.
  8. Call Larry's Limos for a price quote. Recommended by many Cruise Critic posters when you need luxury transportation in the South Florida area. They provide clean vehicles, knowledgeable drivers and reasonable rates.
  9. A car service from the Orlando area to Fort Lauderdale will be very expensive. I would rent a vehicle for the four hour, two hundred twenty five mile trip. There is no free shuttle service from FLL to Port Everglades m. That service was discontinued approximately four years ago. A cab from FLL to Port Everglades is approximately twenty dollars plus tip for the short fifteen minute ride.
  10. Cortrans, Go Port, Cruise Control and Mears are recommended Shuttle companies that service MCO to Port Canaveral. I would call them for a price quote and find out if they offer service on the day before embarkation. You could also do a one way car rental, cab, Uber or Lyft to get you over to Port Canaveral. You could also stay overnight in the greater Orlando area and shuttle over to Port Canaveral on embarkation day.
  11. Fog tends to be a problem during certain times of the year. To play it safe stay overnight in the Tampa area and schedule a flight for the next day.
  12. Riverside Hotel on Las Olas Blvd is a wonderful hotel near plenty of great restaurants including Louie Bossi's, Rocco's Tacos, Big City Grill and American Social. Literally a fifteen minute ride to Port Everglades.
  13. The taxi stands at FLL are on the ground level. Exit the terminal and you will see cabs lined up waiting for passengers.
  14. All shuttle service from the Miami International Airport Rental Car Center was discontinued at the beginning of the Covid Pandemic to the Port Of Miami. To my knowledge there hasn't been a restart by any rental car company. Recently the major cab companies that service the greater Miami area also canceled there fixed rate fare for service to the Port Of Miami. They now charge you by a metered rate. Avis, Hertz and Budget have downtown Miami locations that are relatively close to the Port Of Miami. Some recent Cruise Critic posters state that the downtown locations provide free shuttle service.
  15. I have never seen a shuttle that travels between terminals at Port Everglades. The easiest way to get from terminal to terminal is to hail a cab and tip generously.
  16. I like the idea of staying overnight in either Cape Canaveral or Cocoa Beach so I normally rent a vehicle at MCO and drive over there the day prior to my cruise. On embarkation day I check out of my hotel, drop off family and luggage at Port Canaveral and return the rental. I then either use the rental car shuttle, cab, Uber Or Lyft back over to Port Canaveral.
  17. You can easily get an Uber or Lyft at FLL. After dropping off the rental vehicle at the Rental Car Center walk downstairs to Level Two and cross over the bridge to Terminal 1. Head down to Level One where you can meet up with Uber or Lyft near the taxi stand.
  18. There is no shuttle services available for transportation from FLL to Port Everglades. The free shuttle service was discontinued approximately four years ago. A cab from FLL over to Port Everglades is approximately fifteen dollars plus tip for the short ten minute ride. Years ago while waiting on the taxi line for a cab a shuttle driver was telling everyone that he would transport us over for twenty per person. We declined and waited a few minutes for a cab.
  19. Larry's Limos provides excellent service and is highly recommended by many Cruise Critic posters including myself. They are more expensive than a cab, Uber or Lyft but so worth it. I have used them a few times and was always satisfied with there service.
  20. All Cape Canaveral rental car locations are busy on cruise turnaround days. Try to get there early so you have extra time to return your rental vehicle. I remember that the shuttle line to get over to Port Canaveral was very long. Many customers used either a cab, Uber or Lyft for the short ride over to the port.
  21. Port Everglades is literally ten minutes away from FLL. Rent a vehicle on your arrival and keep it overnight at your hotel. On embarkation day drop off your luggage at Port Everglades and return the rental vehicle at FLL. Hop in a cab, Uber or Lyft for the short ten minute ride over to Port Everglades to check in for your cruise.
  22. You shouldn't have any problem making the second sailing. A cab, Uber or Lyft should cost you around seventy five dollars for the one hour trip up Interstate 95 to Port Everglades.
  23. Cab with tip for the short fifteen minute ride is approximately twenty dollars. There are always plenty of cabs available too!
  24. You would normally meet your tour group after getting off of the ship and clearing Customs. The excursion won't be a whole day thing so you will still have a few hours to kill at the airport. I normally rent a vehicle for the minimum twenty four hour time period and go somewhere for a walk on the beach followed by a late lunch and a few drinks. My luggage is safely secured in the trunk of the rental vehicle too!
  25. Most shuttle service is from either FLL or MIA to Port Everglades or Port Of Miami. I'm unaware of any company that provides shuttle services from the two ports. Either a cab, Uber or Lyft will get you from Port Everglades to the Port Of Miami. If you want to ride in style get a price quote from Larry's Limos. Recommended by many Cruise Critic posters including myself.
