  1. If you end up staying at a hotel on Federal Highway in Dania Beach walk over to the Jaxson's strip mall and have lunch or dinner at Paulie's Pizza and Italian Restaurant. A real nice owner who makes great pizza and Italian food. My friend and I ate there two nights in a row in September and really enjoyed the food. The place won an award from WPLG Local 10 News for having no violations in there latest inspection. BYOB for beer and wine too!
  2. Not sure of any hotel that provide free shuttle service from MIA to a hotel. You would have to call around and ask them. As for staying overnight at the airport that would suck and who wants to cruise after sitting in an uncomfortable chair overnight. Contact a hotel in the Blue Moon neighborhood which is close to MIA and stay overnight there. Advise them you will be arriving late so that they don't give away your room to someone else. Have a good nights sleep and wake up refreshed and ready to enjoy your cruise.
  3. Shuttle service from MCO to Port Everglades if you can find it will cost you more than your airline tickets. The cheapest way to travel would be renting two one way car rentals for the two hundred twenty five miles which under normal circumstances will take you approximately four hours. Personally I would drive down the night of your arrival and stay overnight at a hotel in the Fort Lauderdale area. Wake up refreshed and relaxed and ready to start your cruise vacation. On your return rent a vehicle for the trip back to MCO.
  4. I would Uber over to Miami Beach. Walk on the beach, have a few drinks and a nice lunch and then head back to the ship.
  5. The trip from Port Everglades to FLL takes fifteen minutes. You could make a flight for 10:00AM but I would feel more comfortable with a departure 11:00AM or later.
  6. There are no rental facilities directly at the Port Of Miami. If you rent a vehicle from either Avis, Hertz or Budget they have downtown Miami locations that are very close to the port. I'm unsure if they currently provide free shuttle service to their locations. The Miami International Airport Rental Car Center is located directly across from Miami International Airport. Every major rental car company has an office there. Prior to the pandemic they provided free shuttle service from the Port Of Miami to there facility. Since the beginning of the pandemic crisis all free shuttle service was discontinued. I'm unsure when and if free shuttle services return. There are always plenty of cabs available at the Port Of Miami at the conclusion of your cruise.
  7. No hotel in Cape Canaveral offers free parking and shuttle services to Port Canaveral. The price for parking is usually included with your overnight stay or is a separate line item. Shuttle service is also on a fee per person basis. Years ago I stayed with my family at Country Inns and Suites and payed for seven nights parking. We used Uber to get us over to Port Canaveral.
  8. No Miami hotel offers free parking during your cruise. The price is either included when you stay a night before the cruise or is separate charge. Most hotels in the Blue Lagoon section of Miami have park and stay packages. Hotels in downtown Miami near the Port Of Miami charge upwards of thirty dollars a night to leave your vehicle at there locations.
  9. Both ships are the same. The only difference is the Symphony Of The Seas is newer and most likely your price for that sailing will be more expensive than a sailing on Harmony Of The Seas.
  10. The Port Of Miami doesn't have the option to reserve a parking spot at their facility. The garages have plenty of capacity for anyone who wants to leave there vehicle there. If you arrive anytime after 10:00AM passengers from last week's sailing have all ready left and the garages at that time are mostly empty.
  11. Most hotels will provide free transportation from the airport to the hotel. They normally charge a fee for transportation from the hotel to the port. Uber, Lyft or a cab is the easiest way to get to the port.
  12. Publix Supermarket at 3 Miami Central looks like the closest location to the Port Of Miami followed by locations near the Miami River and in Mary Brickell Village.
  13. Any Publix Supermarket has a decent selection of wine available for sale. There are literally one hundred locations all over Florida.
  14. If the room isn't ready the hotel normally has a location near check in where they will store your luggage. If it isn't too busy you shouldn't have to wait too long.
  15. Uber, Lyft or a cab will easily get you over to the Port Of Miami. After dropping off the rental car head up to the top floor of the facility. When you exit the building you will first see the buses that take you over to MIA. Cabs usually line up to the right of the buses. Pretty sure that's the same pick up point for Uber too.
  16. Free shuttle service from Port Everglades back to FLL was discontinued approximately four years ago. The easiest way to get over to FLL is either Uber, Lyft or a cab for the short fifteen minute ride. Pick up a rental vehicle from the Fort Lauderdale/ Hollywood Rental Car Center. There are no rental car facilities directly at the Port Of Miami so if you rent from either Avis, Budget or Hertz they have downtown Miami locations that are minutes away from the port. If you rent from Alamo, National, Enterprise, Dollar or Thifty you have to return the rental vehicle at the Miami International Airport Rental Car Center located directly across from MIA. Free shuttle service from that facility was discontinued at the beginning of the Covid Pandemic. You would have to Uber, Lyft or cab it over from there to the Port Of Miami
  17. Free shuttle service from the Port Of Miami to the Miami International Airport Rental Car Center was discontinued at the beginning of the Covid Pandemic. To my knowledge it hasn't been reinstated yet. If your renting from the Rental Car Center a cab for the short twenty minute ride is a set price of twenty eight dollars plus tip. The downtown Miami rental locations are very small and very busy on cruise turnaround days. Personally I would stick with the MIA rental car location.
  18. Any flight after 12 noon should be fine at MIA. The airport is especially busy on weekend turnaround days.
  19. Since your arriving after midnight I would stay at an airport area hotel and then Uber or Lyft over to the Port Of Miami in the morning.
  20. Check Larry's Limos for all your transportation needs. A highly recommended company used by many Cruise Critic posters. I have used there service a few times and was always satisfied. More expensive than Uber or Lyft but worth it. Call them for a price quote.
  21. Free shuttle service from the Port Of Miami to the Miami International Airport Rental Car Center was discontinued at the beginning of the Covid pandemic. To my knowledge there hasn't been a return of service yet.
  22. Contact the hotel directly. They most likely have a list of companies they use. If you want to spend extra contact Larry's Limos for excellent, reliable service. Recommended by many Cruise Critic posters including myself.
  23. I would reserve a hotel room for the night and cancel the NCL transfer in the morning. Why would you want to spend the night in the terminal sitting on an uncomfortable chair. Not a great way to start your cruise vacation!
  24. It's impossible to reserve a parking space at the Port Of Miami. If you arrive anytime after 10:00AM the passengers on the previous sailings have already left and there will be plenty of spaces available. I have never seen the garages totally full and I have been sailing from that port since my first cruise in May 1983.
  25. The is no free shuttle service from Port Everglades to FLL. The service was discontinued approximately four years ago. Grab a cab for the short fifteen minute ride over to the Hollywood/ Fort Lauderdale International Airport Rental Car Center.
