  1. Bookings opened for allure for me middle of last week. Sept 10 17 and 24 all opened, probably some other dates and site crashed. I think I got in Thursday 3 am in the morning. We got a email saying to book but coukdnt book until middle of the night. No rhyme or reason. Oasis class has had prebookings since oasis first sailed. I booked shows when it was new. Both times i flew to do oasis back when it first came out. So when someone says they never booked shows I assume that means they are new to oasis class. It's always been a scramble. Other than the email i got, I also start watching my roll call and bookings about the 1st of the month prior. Dont stress, it will work out. I'm on harmony nov 26 for 3 weeks. I'll be watching and post to my roll call. As will others.
  2. I remember the event with wine. I was told I didnt remember it by several who all corrected me. I'm sure I went and enjoyed the wine. I wasnt diamond so dont know which level was invited to the wine event place. Diamonds had hot food I remember in another room. Just wine was available. Or sparkling whatever.
  3. It includes the blended drinks they make in the blender. I think there is a menu of shakes or whatever you want to call them.. included yes .. not sure about juices there but I'd assume so.
  4. Vitality cafe seems to be the only place with bottles of vitamin water.
  5. Carnival is supposed to be rolling out a late night snack. They seem to have heard people are hungry late and want something besides room service. Breeze b2b was my last carnival cruise and it's why I went to rcl. Everyone argues with me the Mdr dinners werent that bad. Mine were inedible. I dont think anyone will be surprised when you say things have changed since you last cruised carnival in 2017. Every line has cut, it's just deciding which line you can live with the cuts.
  6. And I had it all to myself. I love the aft view. I still loved deck 9.
  7. Price was changed on every cruiseline. So carnival should retroactively bill extra if the ship is going to nassau, grand bahamas .. wherever ? All bahamas ports? I also last year wrote to a vp at rcl asking why carnival gives overage on port fees and if they miss a port and rcl can give 0. He said it's because they dont bill you if port fees go up. Lol I have it in writing. I like carnivals policy better.. of course.
  8. Lol even on cc lots of the same confusion. Yes I see the Starbucks logo, but this isnt named starbucks venue therefore its included. OP Park Cafe makes awesome coffee but it opens later. They also have bagels and flavors of cream cheese but other venues open sooner.
  9. I'm pretty sure the cafe serves a brand of starbucks, though it might be Seattle's best .. I saw starbucks logo back where they were fixing coffee. Depending on the ship there may be other locations. This one opens first for specialty coffee. Hot or cold specialty. Free coffee is just coffee, cant ask for whipped cream. Some have chocolate in them. For sure not the same as just plain free coffee though i drink it too.
  10. You can ask for different chairs. I saw one on the opposite side corner aft. I was doing a b2b and peeked in. It had lounge chairs. I'm solo and I particularly liked that taller upright chair. Never saw it before. I like upright for reading out there. You can see the divider better here.
  11. But the afts that are larger, deck 7 for instance need 3 to book. I couldn't book a bigger one on a lower deck as a solo. Deck 9 was all I could book. People always mention lower decks have larger balconys but forget to mention need 3, different category for 3 or 4.
  12. No rcl excursions they dont offer reviews. You can search for similar and read. Carnival has some similar but I doubt there is access to them. I see a lot of negative reviews on carnival site, so maybe that's why rcl doesnt want you to see reviews.
  13. I've seen the table. It's now all the way almost to the exit. I imagine by the time you get there you are looking at the exit, not a small table with someone sitting there with a sign.
  14. This was on liberty, deck 9. Corner aft. I'm not sure if you face aft, or just in the aft? I've got tons of pictures lol. Here are a few. It's been my favourite cabin. Faced the ports and so loved that too. The door isnt sliding it's a single heavy door to open.
  15. My pvp once told me, say nothing. If they ask where your cabin mate is say oh hes still coming, or running late and smile. Say nothing about him not making it. Board and smile.
  16. If you were under the $800 why did you declare it? Or whatever the one person amount is. If I buy something onboard I dont declare it if it's not over and mine never is. Big ticket items cheaper at home.
  17. Maybe you totally honest, but I havent meet anyone who declares all they buy. There is a table where you can voluntarily go and declare and pay the tax. I'm hardly drinking so dont count but most who have mentioned it say they stick the bottles in their suitcase and walk on by. I havent had any drinks lately and not using up my vouchers so dont go by me. Just listening to chit chat while we sit in a dining room waiting to debark. Totally unscientific I admit. But people all the time tell me just walk on by.
  18. A studio means it's a cabin designed for a single pax. There are no studios as it says above that are also suites. I'm solo and I know it's not inexpensive .. Only suites get suite perks. Well I know pinnacles .. I'm talking about cabins.
  19. I bought a lifetime membership to that site, havent remembered my log in lol. Been a really long time. I used to sell pictures to them of my cabins.
  20. In answer to your question which I dont see addressed, yes there were seats set aside in the musical for suites. Also the dive show etc. About 15 minutes before the reserved signs are picked up and removed and anyone can sit in those seats ... so yes there are seats set aside but you need to arrive early.
  21. I think it depends on how long ago did you book? When allure came out these dates were cheap, and now way way up. So if you locked in a price long ago to upgrade by paying the difference is a huge jump. Royal up would be the cheaper option often. Be sure you know how much it costs to upgrade and do a mock booking. See if your oct dates are open .. if not they will be rather soon. Sept royal up already been open a while. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/booked/cruise-room-upgrade
  22. Is this a english term? What's a single measurement?
  23. I still was unaware with carnival that specifically you can arrive anytime you want if plat or diamond. Yes I've been mostly Galveston but also it never occurred to me one way or another and I've tried to be on time. Yes I've boarded as priority and like it, but didnt know there was a policy we had to arrive on time. Jimbo rcl check in is at 45 days for the whole ship, midnight ship time it opens. No extra 2 days for priority so just get on and easy to get earliest time if you can be free at midnight. The big thing on rcl imo is getting on when shows open and getting them booked, just oasis class. Maybe quantum class not sure. Havent done quantum class. Smaller older ships shows arent bookable. Comedy show is the hardest as it's in a small venue, just like on carnival. I've waited for comedians on carnival and as carnival moves forward with bigger ships, it might be a way to control lines and traffic flow. On rcl booking shows is only for the new larger ships. Of course lots of no shows. At 15 minutes before they let in the standby line. So far I always get in from the standby line, just not first dibs on seats. My sept 17 allure cruise just opened last week, got in smoothly and got earliest time. The next day they sent a email to book shows and didnt work lol then that night maintenance so i finally got in 3 am booked shows for Sept 17 and sept 24 b2b. Lol I still think a rule about being on time to check in at the terminal is odd .. news to me. I'm early to wait in priority area. Carnival used to call by priority but think they werent in Galveston last couple of times on carnival. No priority boarding set up in terminal but I assume fixed?
  24. That's certainly something to look forward to. And for unknown reasons my TA gave me more obc to spend. One last farewell to texas possibly, unless I do oct 2024 harmony. I admit I love junk food and playmakers. Extra obc, boring ports, oh wait I can spend it on FOOD. Ha. I read all these posts about well I've had better onion rings 6 months ago. I'm like 6 months ago? Bring on the onion ring tower. I'm in the camp I wish more ships had playmakers. I'll suffer with all that green furniture.
