All I've seen here is talk, no proof any cookies are for charge. .. just that one much copied photo which might or might not be real. I'd like to see another photo not touched up. I cant decide if it's TRUE from what said here.

Cannot book speciality restaurants for Lunch
firefly333 replied to Opportunist's topic in Royal Caribbean International
What ship? When I look in my planner the lunch options are listed. Sea days only open to book. -
First time as Diamond question
firefly333 replied to toxicfairy's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Not really. RCL terminal in Galveston did call us by loyalty, after the priority group, D+ called, diamond was called right after. We sat with everyone else. We arent priority -
I think you misunderstood about the drink limit. Only alcohol drinks count. Water doesnt count toward the 15. I'm sorry to read you werent wowed by the food. I always have heard HAL food is the best. HAL about the only main line I havent done, but it is owned by carnival and shares some policies.

Booking a casino offer - person with offer cannot go
firefly333 replied to GeorgiaMomof4's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
If the person is a no show, and the 2nd pax boards, I'm not sure they would be asked to pay more at the port. They wouldnt know the main pax wasnt cruising. Board and say nothing. You might not get their perks but still get the cruise itself. -
Allure of the Seas for Christmas
firefly333 replied to lilcruiser25's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I was on b2b last dec on allure. Lots of xmas stuff going on. The xmas singing carols I think your kids would enjoy. In the promenade we sang Rudolph and other favorites and santa puts in a appearance. The mama mia crew seems to have lots of xtra singing stuff. So much stuff I missed the big shows I had reservations for. The elevators and promenade music is replaced with xmas music. Big tree is up. And all the decorations. I know specialty dining is extra for holidays, I dont remember a special meal in the Mdr. Me I'd bring candy to hand out. Oh there will be a few places open shortly after the buffet. Buffet first open. Sorrentos for free pizza and wipe out for mexican. Cafe has sandwiches and snacks. -
UDP with new Playmakers prices
firefly333 replied to mjmiller's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I'm assuming it has to do with traffic flow. Like there arent enough open seats for walk ins and UDP so they want to encourage UDP to go elsewhere. Like hibachi isnt a more expensive restaurant than chops but its hibachi you pay a $15 surcharge for, supposedly because it's so small. -
UDP with new Playmakers prices
firefly333 replied to mjmiller's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Yes its per day. People were doing exactly as you suggest. Closing 1 tab and immediately opening a new tab, so they stopped it. Lol I need a husband. People keep posting well me and hubby shared with $20 each and had plenty of food. -
There is a $20 credit for ala carte. .. if it's open in port. Most are open sea days not port days.

How does RCL continue to "oversell" their ships?
firefly333 replied to Concord Slim's topic in Royal Caribbean International
What ship. I'd have taken the offer too. Wondering since I booked thru a TA if I'd ever get a direct call. -
What they are saying is most ports have laws against bringing in a lot of foods, especially fruit. In case there is a bug or something you are bringing on shore. You can bring sealed snacks. Must be sealed is what the poster means by pre packed. Factory sealed.

UDP with new Playmakers prices
firefly333 replied to mjmiller's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Plan on playmakers as a add on. Half and half perhaps. Eat at chops or wherever and stop by playmakers before or after ala carte. One night get the wings. One night stop for dessert. If you order $22.00 and your allowance is $20, can you just pay the extra $2? -
Often the diamond discount is less than the $650 off so there is nothing further if you are booking direct. That's why so many use a TA for group rates. Everything is up. I'm just getting around to mentally accepting moving next year, which meant moving cruises and started that a couple months back. It is hard knowing some booked for half what I just booked at but took me a while to pull myself together. I've got quite a few if booked directly would cost what you see. I hate paying what I'm booking at, but other than not booking, it is what it is. Prices are doubling and even tripling. Maybe tell yourself you got some good deals after covid to balance things out. Losing customers at these nose bleed prices. Instead of FOMO, buying because of fear of missing out, buying for fear prices go higher.

And again i ask what difference does it make if it's not a blackout date for the code?
-
It's been mentioned before but the black out dates are dynamic. I suspect they monitor the sales. People pushed and they lifted the black out period for a while on last months president cruise, then put it back. As I said above there are various Christmas dates where you can apply DP340. I doubt it's entirely accidentally. I recently booked xmas on adventure for 2024. I suspect maybe because it's a older ship and prices are sky high they allowed it so the ship filled up more. Maybe older ships dont fill up as much. You talk as if these dates are set in concrete. I'd say they know NYE sells better than xmas and price the black out dates according to how a ship is selling. I also read a previous president cruise to this year they allowed the solo discount for a while before it was cut off again. Too many xmas dates are allowed for me to agree it's a set time like you say.

Oasis Portside BBQ Price Increase
firefly333 replied to bayportkat's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I get home from the store and cant even explain some purchases to myself, let alone someone else. I bought a veggie tray, ok, but the tomatoes dont look good and I dont rat the broccoli. I realized all I'll eat are the carrots and hidden valley ranch dip. I waste too much money on food anyway. Cruises are for someone else cooking. -
Navigator iskate show reserved seats suite guests?
firefly333 replied to Mslmesq's topic in Royal Caribbean International
As it says at 15 minutes before they remove the reserved signs and anyone can sit there. I'd go 30 to 45 minutes before, but I'm ocd. -
I was able to apply DP340 to your date, march 22 2025. Sometimes they do allow the code on holidays. I have DP340 applied for xmas 2024. I'd call xmas a holiday.

What Other Cruise Lines Match Royals Loyalty Program?
firefly333 replied to ReneeFLL's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Not sure which thing you heard? That they are bad at service? I tried twice to status match ... still waiting. I'll worry about it after I get moved. -
Idk but there are some TAs with their own fees. Are you sure this isnt from your TA, not from royal? Ask for the policy in writing if you arent sure what this is for.
