  1. I was wondering if I'm just unlucky as my roast beef sandwiches havent been good. I thought maybe it was a bad time come later and the roast beef would be better but it hasnt been. I remember them being so much better. Maybe not fat free like george had but the beef just was better. I'll know soon lol. Crossing my fingers.
  2. There is a suite lounge where during happy hour you get unlimited mixed drinks. Also from 11 to 11 pm you get wine and beer in the lounge. The 4 drinks are separate and can be used anywhere anytime from any bar. The concierge should contact you about a week out. Have you already booked shows? They can help with that and scheduling ck meals. Or pay restaurants. Did you buy a dining pkg? There are seats set aside for you in shows but you still need to be booked. I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff.
  3. And this can only be done before final payment. I'm seeing tons of posts suggesting this after final payment to cancel. ..elsewhere not here. Cc is better informed.
  4. You need to try more cruiselines. I'd consider celebrity and cunard (a carnival brand) more upscale.) Royal imo is more equal to carnival and aiming for the same families. It's not meant to be upscale. Some things better on carnival some on royal. Carnival wins on fast food, royal shows. I think they are comparable. For me with perks prices run similar, both up a lot $$$. I'd put ecstasy and grandeur up against each other as about equal. Other than royal gives more perks, similar. Sailing dream 14 days in January.. I'll let you know.
  5. Idk but might vary by ship. I was last told $14 which coincidentally is the price of most drinks.
  6. I saw that rcl said it would be $13 to $16 more or whatever, and I'm solo and it's still more. And I'm seeing $160 $167 for same ole boring ports out of Tampa. Yep pushing the price higher. I wondered if it was tampa pushing amounts higher.
  7. @Ourusualbeachcan you say if these are only nonrefundable. I was assuming you can pay more and get a refundable for non suites. I love the afts and changing the categories to sunset is confusing. Why not 10B or something inline to other category names idk. Just to confuse us.
  8. This answer makes no sense. Idk how much soda. I know for rcl it says 1 12 pack per cabin. It's for sure not dependent on how many bottles of wine carried on. It's been a long time since I carried on anything. We tried 24 cans of sparkling water and never drank them lol. So it might br 24 cans of water or soda. OP are you all in 1 cabin or 2?
  9. You WILL miss it. At least end of boardwalk you can see out the aft. Central park is so closed in but a good deal. Those fake bird sounds got to me after a while. Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned the fake bird calls and you wouldnt have noticed them. I spent a lot of time up in the solarium.
  10. I booked the same except I call it the twister boat. Isla passion. Cozumel right. I think I got it 25% off, though now its 20% off when I look. Wasnt fast enough maybe or never was 30% off. That's a really good price for hooked lunch. I'd have grabbed it too. I'd rather hooked than Jamie's I booked at that same price. Welcome to cc. Imo more accurate information here imo than elsewhere and also more veteran cruisers complaining.
  11. They cant do both is what the above post says. Either take up a seat in Mdr fixed time or anytime but cant do both. On nights they dont want to eat with you they could eat in the buffet. I eat there a lot.
  12. Lol I'd love a Bermuda from even florida. None of the new releases go to Bermuda. Not even from florida. There is a thread complaining. I was looking for Bermuda myself. Someone posted ncl has the berths tied up idk. Big disappointment for me too. Royal cost cutting imo.
  13. I loved allure too and not driving. I doubt there will be a lot fewer kids on the 8 day because of the 1 extra day, but it's a smaller ship with less for kids to do imo. The big oasis class imo are more geared to families. Do you do a excursion in each port. That could add up. I booked the twister boat for my cozumel stop next may. It has a inclusive beach but I've been wanting to do that particular boat a while so booked it. I'm tired of the western ports and I've done them more than 5 times lol. I also have adventure eastern and southern booked, 8 days. For the ports. PR virgin islands etc. I know adventure isnt as new and as nice as harmony imo. I like the bigger ships. I vote for harmony because you can drive. ..though I agree about adventure for the ports, not the ship.
  14. Rcl does this al the time. I'm not sure why the op doesnt say which line. If you see peices from $1000 pp, and change it to 1 pax, then see $2500, you know the $1000 was for a gty. For some reason the gty bookings only are available to 2 pax. Before covid solo would book a fake 2nd pax who of course never showed up. Now rcl is on to the trick and now to get the 2nd loyalty pt it has to be booked solo, or 2nd pax removed before sailing. Rcl 1 pt regular, 1 pt solo, 1 suite, so solo in a suite gets 3 loyalty pts a day, has to be a solo booking to get the extra solo pt. I see it all the time. I pushed thru to 340 pts last year to get the solo discount, so now every cruise is 25% off as a solo. 2nd pax is half off is how it's written. The 25% off makes up that I cant book a gty.
  15. It was every night on allure. Either a movie, soccer, a football game, or shows. I had the show music memorized. I was sick that week and stuck to my cabin. Higher decks central park I could hear the kids screaming swimming in the pool, I'd choose a lower deck. I've had these cabins quite a few times. I'm on deck 12 with the "29" central park in less than 2 weeks. Lowest deck left with the double wide balcony. I know that high I'll hear the kids. My friend has the last boardwalk cabin. Cant wait for his feedback lol as he is a complainer.
  16. Ft Lauderdale has a nice little airport which I personally love. You can find hotels with free shuttles. Reasonable. I flew into tampa and its further I think to the port. There seems to be 2 groups of hotels, those with airport shuttles and those with cruise port shuttles but i didnt find both. We got a suite hotel that was pretty awesome in tampa and were able to get a shuttle for a additional cost we walked a few blocks to meet. I liked tampa and the hotels a lot but love ft Lauderdale airport more. Some may differ, but both are easier than PC. Or miami.
  17. I did boardwalk and it's very noisy from the dive show area. They blasted the football games and shows.
  18. No no priority access ... though like carnival the doors are unlocked. People have snuck down the hallway and dropped off luggage. Shhh.
  19. I've liked central park balconys. With group rate and my balcony discount it was $16 less than a inside cabin, but lost a $50 obc, but priced close. I liked dec 10. Just pick a location not over a bar. Inside balconys are cheaper on oasis class because there are many more balconys so not the upcharge you see on smaller ships. Central park balconys are midship, pick one toward the middle or aft elevator, half way between for least motion.
  20. It still has to be replaced in answer to the question. Cant leave Galveston with no 6 to 8 day ship.
  21. Yes if harmony is shown on a TA leaving Galveston march 2026, almost 100% certainty she will be replaced, with a new large ship, probably oasis class, though people keep hoping for Star.
  22. OP says over 80. Big difference for over 60 and over 80. Let us know in 20 years if it's still as easy. Hard to predict. I can understand how someone in their 80s thinks it's hard to get around. .. having been around my folks at that age.
  23. Ok I knew it was combinable with that. What I said it might not be combinable with the up to $700 off. So you correcting me confused me. Apples and oranges.
  24. Medical is always take the forward elevator to the bottom deck, look for the signs. Maybe since you are over 80 the ship is too big. I'm up there and dont find the ship too big. I'm glad to have more space to wander around. It was your choice to cut to 2 meals a day. I too didnt have a good meal in chops. Pork belly no meat, all fat. Who would serve a block of fat with no meat attached. Fries no truffle seasoning and waiter argued I was wrong. Steak undercooked and ate 2 bites and couldnt eat more. .. didnt let it ruin my cruise but agree wasnt good.
  25. Ourusualbeach is a knowledgeable TA who specializes in rcl. That's why he knows the nitty gritty. I dont even know what the 305 off promo is. Imo the problem is rcl has too many of these nitty gritty if and and buts. It shouldn't be this hard to figure out you need a specialist with a lot of knowledge to book. Carnival is straight forward. What you see is the price. Not so withnrcl. Its I get different amounts of obc or discounts according to how far out i book and my loyalty level which are applied differently if you are booking direct or a group rate. I am thankful I dont have to pay the full rate shown, but its sure hard to figure out. I book the group rate then wait for solo DP340 to be applied.
